rp is repeat, so it doesn't turn off after the first time the alarm goes off, the last number in the line is how many minutes before the time you want the alarm to go off.
For the Gearset macros, rather than number you can also use their name (ex: "Gunbreaker" or "Black Mage") and it will equip that gearset no matter what order you have them in, so if they get rearranged for whatever reason you don't have to change the macro.
The "rp" in the alarms means "repeat." In the case of your "Miner Aether" alarm, it's an alarm that goes off 3 minutes before 12:00am Eorzea time every Eorzean day until you turn the macro off. If you go to your actions menu and make an alarm without a chat command, it'll show you all of the options for setting up alarms and clears all that information up!
Hey found your channel recently and enjoy the way you put the content out there. I already know most of these things since I have been playing a really long time but this is a great resource to share to newer people that I sometimes forget don't know all the things that I have learned through the years. Keep up the great work! Also Viera is best race, I also changed my character to a female Viera when as soon as they came out and can't imagine changing her to anything else ever again, wouldn't feel right!
Seriously Bun boss you always knock it out of the park with these videos! Thank you for all your hard work (gives good pets) this really amps my enjoyment of this game and I’m certain it does the same for many other people 😊.
Been using the menu macro for over 10k hours and it has been a life changer. I couldn't live without them. They take long to set up but are incredibly usefull
For menu macros, and if a pc player that never intends on using controller, I actually like using the cross hotbars. 8 sets of 16 per job, gives me far more than enough to do whatever kind of setup I want
While not using /voice -macro, I do have one for /systemsounds, another for /bgm, and a third for /bgm, /soundeffects, /voice, /ambientsounds, /performsounds; and mute everything hotkeyed. Shift-M leaves only system sounds on (DF dings), Ctrl-M toggles music on/off, Ctrl-Alt-M toggles system sounds; and Ctrl-Shift-M mutes the whole game. These are all in a hidden shared hotbar, along with few other "hotkey" macros I have. Expanding on the menu macros: I use two myself, one pops open the job menu, other pops up my "utilities" menu. This has stuff like waymarks, countdowns, alarms, hiding/showing XP bar (another macro!), and a save macro to save any changes I do on the utility menu. While playing with hud layouts is one option, using /hotbar copy is far more powerful (and fairly commonly used). I use shared hotbars 6-8; and my lancer hotbars 1-3 would have the gearsets (note that the lancer hotbars aren't used by the player ~ever again once getting Dragoon, so the soulstoneless classes hotbars can be reused this way), eg: /hotbar copy lancer 1 share 6 /hotbar copy lancer 2 share 7 /hotbar copy lancer 3 share 8 would copy the gearset menu from my lancer hotbars to my shared bars. For my utility bar I'd use /hotbar copy archer 1 share 6 /hotbar copy archer 2 share 7 /hotbar copy archer 3 share 8 And to save the utility hotbar: /hotbar copy share 6 archer 1 /hotbar copy share 7 archer 2 /hotbar copy share 8 archer 3 Back -macro simply copies a blank hotbar onto the shared slots to hide the bars again: /hotbar copy cul 10 share 6 /hotbar copy cul 10 share 7 /hotbar copy cul 10 share 8 It's a bit more complex/time consuming to set up, but this way you can build very detailed menu macros.
i found another trick for the job changing macro, if you have shared hotbars with the job stones across your alts. for example, the gearset number can be replaced with the name you give the gearset, and the number of the glam plate you want to use for your class roles: /micon "Soul of the Paladin" item /snap motion
/gs change "Paladin" 20 (or use "PLD" if you prefer the gearset name to be shorter)
Macro tips 1 and 2 can be combined super easily, so there's no need for the back button, then you can bind hud layouts to keys. I have layout 4 bound to NUM 0, this way you don't have to make that hud layout switch button or put it on a hotbar on any other layout.
I had a vertical hotbar next to the party list with Rez macros for every member for my healers And for Astro I added a button to cycle the hotbar between Rez and Play (to easy apply cards)
I dont have room for many macro's, I have every jobs action bars macro'd to a three set so if the bars get reset for whatever reason, I can just press three buttons and restore them to pristine condition. I just have the dat file backed up.
My english is not perfect but i just thank you for your talk calm so i can understand and yours tips are very useful thank you for take time to make video on it
Can anyone Help? I have a ff14 question for PC. I bought an MMO mouse and obviously im new to FF14 but how do i use my other moves. I just stand there and do 1-12 moves on ONE hotbar. How do i use the other ones?
macros ruin the game , please take them out asap! lets make this game great again! completely unfair to controller players , pc players should NOT be able to do this.
I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but everyone can use the macros. I am a controller player on PC so these macros were made with my controller in mind
Macros for you!
/micon 1 gearset
/gs change 1
/hudlayout 3
/wait 1
/bstance
Collectible Macro
/macroicon "Meticulous Prospector"
/ac "Scrutiny"
/ac "Meticulous Prospector"
/ac "Scrutiny"
/ac "Meticulous Prospector"
Timers Macro:
/alarm clear
/alarm "Miner Aether" et rp 0000 3
/alarm "Botany Aether" et rp 0800 3
/echo "Aethersand Alarm Set!"
rp is repeat, so it doesn't turn off after the first time the alarm goes off, the last number in the line is how many minutes before the time you want the alarm to go off.
Rp repeat unless in limsa then it is role play... and usually nsfw
For the Gearset macros, rather than number you can also use their name (ex: "Gunbreaker" or "Black Mage") and it will equip that gearset no matter what order you have them in, so if they get rearranged for whatever reason you don't have to change the macro.

This is great info! I am just getting into FFxiv after playing other mmos for years and this is exactly what I needed!
Been using the menu macro for over 10k hours and it has been a life changer. I couldn't live without them. They take long to set up but are incredibly usefull
Great to hear!

/hotbar copy lancer 1 share 6
/hotbar copy lancer 2 share 7
/hotbar copy lancer 3 share 8
would copy the gearset menu from my lancer hotbars to my shared bars.
For my utility bar I'd use
/hotbar copy archer 1 share 6
/hotbar copy archer 2 share 7
/hotbar copy archer 3 share 8
And to save the utility hotbar:
/hotbar copy share 6 archer 1
/hotbar copy share 7 archer 2
/hotbar copy share 8 archer 3
Back -macro simply copies a blank hotbar onto the shared slots to hide the bars again:
/hotbar copy cul 10 share 6
/hotbar copy cul 10 share 7
/hotbar copy cul 10 share 8
It's a bit more complex/time consuming to set up, but this way you can build very detailed menu macros.
Thanks for scouring the web for these macros. I use timers for gathering having one for multiple nodes would be really helpful.
You are welcome!

Thank you very much for your hard work! I learn a lot from videos like this. I really appreciate all you do for the community. Great job!
I love using /micon "Soul of the Warrior" item (change Warrior to what ever class) It gives you a nice Soul Stone of that class
I have a whole UI menu that cycles through everything, so these hudlayout macros are gonna be NICE.
I haven't used macros yet (only spent 1,300 hours in game) but will have to try the timer and the collectables macros, they look really useful.
Thanks rob!
Only 💀
good macro with the voices. didnt think of something simple like that!
Omg I love this one because that voice is seriously annoying to listen multiple days in a row
Macro tips 1 and 2 can be combined super easily, so there's no need for the back button, then you can bind hud layouts to keys. I have layout 4 bound to NUM 0, this way you don't have to make that hud layout switch button or put it on a hotbar on any other layout.
I play on controller on pc so I don’t use keyboard keybinds 😅
I had a vertical hotbar next to the party list with Rez macros for every member for my healers
And for Astro I added a button to cycle the hotbar between Rez and Play (to easy apply cards)

I would love to see some warrior specific macros and some WHM... Love your content and thank you for sharing awesome macros.
Coming soon! 💯🙏 and thank you

rp means repeat and sets an hourly alarm
RP is repeat. I use the in-game timers all the time but didn't think to make a macro so thanks
Love the timer macros as I'm still getting used to farming on my gatherers and watching the time isn't fun.
The RP will repeat the alarm daily until you disable it or sign out.
any tips for playing on Steam Deck or other Handheld PC?
Amazing! Pls macros for a White Mage! Thanks!
rp stands for repeat. The alarm will restart itself after alerting you.
I clearly was late on this... and had not read the rest of the comments first :)
Can anyone Help?

You need to just set up your other hot bars by the hud layout menu. Or keybind to your mmo mouse
rp is repeat
Are those parts in game or a mod
I use zero mods
rp on timer macro is for repeat (hourly)

get rid of them , better gameplay - if u cant do it normally without some code doing for u, then u prolly shouldn't
be doing it @@BunBossFFXIV
Macros can be used on controllers, too. The video literally shows him playing on controller.
