RIP Terry 1946-1978. Long gone never forgotten ❤
Amazing song. Make me smile is actually spliced from the beginning and end of a 14 minute “Ballad for a girl in Buchannon”. The full thing is a masterpiece would highly recommend you check it out
Added!
This is my fave of Chicago songs … no group had this versatility and talent .. Terry sang like ray (and played like jimi - as you saw in 25 or 6 to four) horns are incredible- the 3 of them were classically trained.. drummer was amazing too, they insisted that their debut album be a double and had to take reduced royalties- their first track / ‘introduction’ is just that .. all groups/Artists get to show what they were bringing to the world and they had a LOT!! Second and third albums were also doubles and they were doing most of their best.. the make me smile with the entire “ballet with a girl? (Suite)” thing takes this song to another dimension!!
Danny Seraphine. One of the 70's best drummers. Technically solid as hell.
Terry Kath on vocals. Chicago at their best. They were not even remotely the same band after his death. R.I.P.
My man had a great voice! Now I’m interested in hearing Terryless CHICAGO! Any suggestions?
@@interactivereactions I'm a rock and roll guy. Chicago turned into a poppy love song type of band after his passing. Not my thing so I wouldn't know what song to suggest. Another great song with Terry you would enjoy is their cover of " I'm a Man".
@@davewilson435 Check out Dialogue pt I&II. Great tune for the lyrics alone. Another would be What's This World Coming Too for the last time all three singers were on the same song.

-Alive Again
-No Tell Lover
-Hard to Say I'm Sorry
-You're the Inspiration
Outstanding .
"25 or 6 To 4" live at Tanglewood is a life changer .
"What's This World Coming To " ...also .
& just in case you're impressed :
"Sing A Mean Tune Kid"
Followed by : "It Better End Soon" .
All equally epic .
Try Saturday in the park do you wanna hear some serious bass drum and going?
It’s on the list!
They were poor imitators - could produce great hits but not master musicians like Chicago
I use to hate this music as a kid(69-74) , but what does a little kid like , cartoons and Godzilla. But in high school, I loved it .
The ending was a jab at rival BST.
Al Kooper saw Chicago in LA, then went to NYC and assembled a similar band (Blood, Sweat, & Tears) that beat Chicago to putting out a first album.
You need to listen to this daily to get your heart pumping
