Oh my, this starting screen is GORGEOUS, i personally prefer more dark, gritty images in HOI4 considering the fact that WW2 was awful thing and this one is just perfect.
La Resistance is also quite good. Battle of Bosporus is definitely the most disappointing. Main focus is some dude having a dinner while Konstantinopole is just the backdrop? Sad.
That's not saying much considering the only HoI4 expansions that have at _least_ a mostly positive rating on Steam is No Step Back and Waking the Tiger.
I still think its a straight up shitty cashgrab to not have finland in the soviet DLC. Because of the winter war both should definitiv be in the same DLC, especially when you lock mechanics behind a paywall..
Recon giving a bonus to artillery damage makes so much sense, the recon troops can spot the enemy and then radio in their location to the artillery forces.
It was funny to hear you explain your plans against the Soviets, it was essentially a reversal of their actual plans against Finland in the actual war. I can't wait for the dlc, it's gonna be great.
I hope this will also fix the desyncing issues in multiplayer. After 1942, with war in low supply areas going on, the game becomes pretty much unplayable.
Oh my that was one of your best videos ever! I was so glad on how much you enjoyed this run! And what a run it was, so impressive! Too bad i wasnt in the spearhead as a member 😢. Im curious for the Nordic council focus tree too! Also 2 videos in less then a week, you're spoiling us!
I'm much more excited for the designer changes as it allows for different plays and gives them a bigger feel than select and forgetting or just forgetting them like I always do lol.

Petrovski Jam's supply hub was actually destroyed by finnish special long range patrols. 80 people blew up the whole village and supply hub and made it out back to Finland. Crazy
Wow. That seems more intense and yet still easier than the original FInnish Him. I guess it's because you can be so more aggressive than before. Great vid!
i really love how they made the game run better. like, i often quit in the middle of games because it takes too long (because of my shitty attention span)
You can queue up a cav div before the civil war starts as you will always get to keep it. Works with every country. You can also start a justification and then join the allies and declare war without the risk of them calling in the uk
The new mechanics for infantry equipment is such a game changer. If this isn't broken then this could mean countries, like China, could be able to have more viable infantry equipment to account for their lack of industry to produce later game models. You can have cheaper equipment that is more capable of fighting bigger foes. You can also more properly purchase arms instead of having to rely on Lend Lease. That might even change how the USA can be played if it can sell arms to other countries. These changes cannot be understated on how much they impact the game for the better. All this assuming Paradox devs properly thought through everything
If by that you mean there wont be a "one strat fits all" or exploits, then its impossible, given how us spread sheet gamers play these games. However, what ive found is that if it is fun regardless of how challenging it is to break, it doesnt matter. And from the eye test, it looks hella fun to play in MP games and opens up the door for more mods to include these mechanics.
Love the video. Could you make a few ingame demonstrations of the new features, especially the new arms market, MI concerns and Consumer goods rework when you have a better feel for it? That arms market seems like a godsend for smaller nations who can turn endless crappy guns into Civs. I’m thinking Mozambique with their Ak-47 on their flag.
good video, you probably could have requested license from your former soviet puppets if you wanted an airforce. With all the buffs to production you have already, the penalty is pretty minor.

Wow. I really like this DLC. The international market is really cool. I always love when they add new states. The focus trees have good content but not overly drawn out. Only thing i dont care much for is having to assign a company to build your shit but it is realistic. Solid DLC.
Erik Heinrichs having so many traits😂 It would be fun if you'd be able to assign titles to generals, like Erik "The Surgeon" Heinrichs because he surgically cuts the USSR in pieces.
