The scroll reads as the following: First line: Cur Lee (Curly) Second line: Besser (Joe Besser) Part of second line to third: Shemp Part of third line to fourth: Nyuck Nyuck Line four: Sap Line five: Soitenley (Curly's Certainly)
Just to be clear, the little gun that came with the Splinter vs. Baxter 2-pack (12:50) is actually Shredder's retro-mutagen ray generator, which he attempted to use on the Turtles and change them back into ordinary turtles at the end of the episode "The Shredder is Splintered" of Season 1 that was first aired on December 18th of 1987 and the sword with the translucent fire (9:00) is called the Sword of Yurikawa, which is also the name of the episode of Season 6 that was first aired on October 10th of 1992.
The scroll is from the episode blast from the past. In order to prove he is the rightful leader of the foot clan Splinter uses the Curly maneuver. He just does some slapstick attacks on the shredder while speaking like curly from the three stooges.
@@rbl205 I can’t lie, I did a bunch of research for the ones I forgot haha. Some items I remembered right away. I only couldn’t figure out if that red book was from a specific story or if it’s just a generic book. Everything else I could find the episode it was from.
@@razrentals8897 No prob, dude! Thanks for being honest! I think you're right about the red book. I can't remember any special episode that focused on it at least. I do know that the plant that Baxter comes with is the Doku plant Shredder uses on April in the episode "Enter: The Fly". But I have to admit, I'm drawing a blank when it comes to Splinter's Fire Sword. I vaguely remember it from the depths of my childhood memories, but I can't recall the exact episode. Think you can help me out?
@@rbl205 it’s the sword of yurikawa. It’s from season 6 so it was later in the show. I put up a review on my channel of the two pack and pointed out what all of the pieces were. The easiest one I think was the retromutagen ray generator since it was from the 5 episode. I remembered the doku plant too just because splinter freaks out when April tells him she sniffed it. I had to figure out what episode it was from though.
@@razrentals8897 Hey, thanks a million! I was racking my brain trying to remember that! I didn't know you did action figure reviews. I'll be sure to check out your channel!
This baxter has to be one of my dream figures. The NECA art team absolutely KILLED it in all aspects with this release. I ain't even a Splinter fan but he's great too! Baxter tho? Guhhh, soo damn cute and weird.
The names on the scroll are the "other" Stooges that came in on replacements on the shorts. When Curly got sick, Shemp came in. When Shemp got sick, they replaced him with Joe Besser. When the Stooges reformed Curly Joe De Rita was the replacement. The scroll is actually in an episode though. Splinter stooges out martial arts style.
I would have gone CRAZY if I had these figures back in the day as a kid. I was never satisfied with the figures we got from Playmates back then. Most of the times didnt look anything like the cartoon and some of them were absolutely horrible like Shredder.
I agree, the figures they made didn't look enough like their cartoon counterparts. Also, it was ridiculous that they made a bunch of characters whom made no tv appearances.
Dan, the little gun isn't Baxters gun. That's Shredder's retromutagen gun from the original story arc, the episode "the shredder is splintered". It's the gun they wanted to get to turn Splinter back human, but he had to destroy it to keep shredder from "dining on turtle soup" The scroll came from the toon too. Splinter was the master of the mysterious Cur-Lee manuver. Was a big build up in the episode that ended in three stooges jokes. You have no idea how happy I was that I was able to find this and krang in my local target. Never able to get April, casey, rock soldiers or the triceratons. Sadly the eye paint on the splinters were bad. Lots of derpy and cross eyes. I managed to get a good one. But for me, Baxter steals the show. Baxter was one of my faves from both the old playmates line and the show. A show version of Baxter has always been tops of my wishlist. I do hope we get human Baxter some time.
I love this 2 pack! You gotta have Splinter for the turtles and Baxter. Also that plant... I think it’s the Doku/Gazai plant from the episode when Baxter is turned into a mutant fly. Love the little Gerbil Michelangelo, so cute!
