I know the accessories do seem a bit random at times with these toon line figures. But as a fanatical fan of the 1987 series, I assure you that every single accessory they come with was in fact in the show at some point. To me that's one of the greatest things about this figure line, the guys making it are clearly huge fans of the old cartoon and are not afraid to slip in all of these obscure references to various episodes. I love it and hope it continues.
Jared, yeah this is the ultimate 'easter egg' accessory pack. So much to remember or learn as a cartoon turtles fan. Great review. My favorite 2-pack with triceraton road kill Robby coming in second. Merry Christmas.
I'm kind of in awe at all the accessories these two come with. Makes sense given their sizes I suppose, but it's really building out this toon world we're getting. Both look great, really excited for them. Baxter's sculpt is really something else though, especially that hair.
I just scored this set at my local Target today, was definitely unexpected seeing it this early. Hands down one of, if not, my favorite set in the toon line so far! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
this two pack makes it so frustrating that they missed so poorly on the April. The April isn't a bad figure in the grand scheme of things, but given how EVERY other figure in the line is done so well, I can't believe they whiffed so badly on that one.
I sort of regret not buying April during their pre-order, since it feels like a big gap in my collection. But I just couldn't justify $50+ for such a bad figure and another Foot Soldier
When comparing NECA vs Super 7 it amazed me to realize that NECA Splinter comes in a 2 pack with Baxter and a ton of accesories and people pay the same amount for Super 7 single figure...
Awesome review! This set is amazing! I feel like the best NECA Toon sets are coming now. Toon Splinter is a longtime want for me, and no offense but what a difference between this and the Super 7. I get the nostalgia, but man! So excited for Rat King, Mondo, and Muckman!
Thanks for this review. I wont have enough money to get this double pack. What other options do I have for a Splinter for my SDCC 2017 cartoon turtles? Thank you!
Splinter looks awesome! Baxter Stockman could have been a bit taller. I would have preferred a regular human version of Baxter to have had been released first before the fly version!
If you have a pair of EXTREMELY sharp scissors, you can cut a very small slit in his robe in the back, for the tail, and it should be free of fraying over time. Average scissors or heavily used scissors will cut as well but won't make the cut as perfect if you wanna avoid thread fraying.
well i doubt my target will get these i finally got my wrath of krang figure i bought two and i opened one and he had 2 left arms and he looked pretty stupid there was no way to fix that his arm would only bend backwards so i took him back and of course they were all gone BUT i found one someone hide underneath the shelves so who ever you are ty for hidding your figure for me i highly appreciate that.
some find it pricey being small, but, the design and material of the figs make them worth it...if you can buy a $20 obscure ML char for a basic design, then these get you more your money's worth
well i found my splinter and Baxter Stockman today. It would had been nicevto have baxters human head and have his fky arms fold up and have a white trench coat to put on to cover the arms up. Man these figures are insane to find
Also, I'll def be that guy and say Baxter IS in fact a perfect figure. I know all of the Toon figures are super close to their screen counterparts but Baxter is just identical in all regards imo.
The Turtles in Time version of Baxter Stockman has better proportions then the cartoon version! Why didn't Neca just repaint the Turtles in Time version in cartoon colors?
Man. The amount of flaking paint that comes off these NECA figures is crazy. It's a little disturbing. (But great and thorough review once again. Thank you!)
Did you know that NECA sells their figures as "non-durable goods"? It's why they legally get away with selling figures that deteriorate over a short period of time.
@@Starfig except that Sean is right. There’s a whole video on it on the Retroblasting channel if I’m not mistaking. That being said, unless you handle them like you’re a 4 year old with a Playmates toy, those figures will be just fine and won’t be damaged at all.
@@jarosbodytko6462 Oh I know what he's referencing, that's how I know he's completely full of shit. Anyone that would actually take what Retroblasting says as truth in any form needs their head checked.

Neca has the looks down. Now they just gotta make them more durable and obtainable locally.
Always wanted a cartoon accurate Baxter. Can't wait to display him next to the Super7 toy version.
I'm just dying trying to find this 2-pack (along with a lot of other people). Cool review.
Don’t know where your located but my target here in Mississippi had 7 of them and a lot of the rock solders and triceratops
Really good in-depth review

I couldn’t stop myself from getting this pack. Baxter is perfect. I’ve never bought a Predator as perfect as he came out.

What an awesome set! Hope I can find it soon cuz this is a must have. Great review!
@Toy Bro, maybe is off toppic but… where you buyer that skeletor of the door?, is so cool bro 😆.
i was hoping someone would compare super7 vs NECA. not even the big toy reviewers did this. Thank you!

That little blue pistol is the Retro Mutegen ray that shredder uses I think
Just snagged the last one at my local target
I love Baxter! He is so great. I thought I wouldn't like how small he is, but it works out so well.
It's accurate though
@@Lycano23 nah, hes supposed to be a little larger.
@@grandiosa86 nope, he's not. I own the series. He is half size of Shredder, figure is accurate.

Love seeing the comparisons. Makes me feel good about skipping the Super7 line
So what was the original launch price for these things?

i never saw a neca rocksteady hat accessory before, mind me asking where thats from ? :)
Duzmachines84 on ig makes and sells them custom.

What's the difference between a Gee and a Kimono? I'm from South America so I am confused.
Also, I'll def be that guy and say Baxter IS in fact a perfect figure. I know all of the Toon figures are super close to their screen counterparts but Baxter is just identical in all regards imo.
I can’t get my hands on these like ever
Merry Christmas. Have you seen the new reveals on NECA Instagram? There is gonna be Ace Duck. Its on the toon checklist.
The Turtles in Time version of Baxter Stockman has better proportions then the cartoon version! Why didn't Neca just repaint the Turtles in Time version in cartoon colors?
He looks too small
Because the SNES sprite was different than what we saw on the cartoon. This is how he looked in the cartoon, proportions and all.
