A note with the breeding, each species of pal is assigned a hidden number. When determining offspring from a set of parents, the game takes the number for each parent, adds them together, then divides by 2. the pal species' number that most closely matches the resulting number will then be what hatches from the egg. Because of how the math works, a same-species pairing will always yield same-species offspring, but mixed species pairings will result in something different. So it doesnt matter if you breed parents to offspring, vice versa, etc, as long as they are same species if you are looking to produce more of that species.

For cooling in particular I really don't think Frostallion is worth the effort, because Frostallion still has to sleep at night meaning your food will still spoil if you aren't immediately going to bed as soon as the sun starts to set. As apposed to Vanwyrm Cryst who is an ice and _dark_ type, meaning it never sleeps. As of right now at least you can reset the spoil timers on your food by hitting the sort button in the container inventory, so as long as you visit your base once every few days to do that nothing will ever spoil.
@@viva_violet Short version: I'm well aware, and it's not worth considering. That's extra time that is removed entirely when anything but a Dark type has to sleep, and the time that goes by during the night _massively_ cuts into how much time is added when morning comes. Long version: the spoilage timer alteration works on a percentage. Example: berries spoil in 10 minutes. Lv2 cooling increases this to 230 minutes. If uncooled for one minute 10% of their spoilage timer is decreased, and if lv2 cooled with 9 minutes remaining the timer will only increase to 207 minutes, subtracting 10% of the original 230 minutes. Night in Palworld lasts a standard 5 minutes, so after two nights your berry will have spoiled. That extra time doesn't make the spoilage meter shoot back up when it's applied. Now obviously, not everything is as plentiful as berries, so without round the clock cooling you can go out adventuring for a few hours and return to find those special recipe dishes you cooked up are gone because your Frostallion had to sleep. Until fridges are patched to work on a charge system so that active cooling doesn't need to be applied during the night the higher levels of cooling won't be worth anything. It's just increasing how much more time your food will last for during the night by mere seconds. I also doubt the devs are going to make cooling work that way, cause I feel like they would've done so by now if they considered this an issue. Unless they do, your solutions are to stop what you're doing to return home and use the sort button to glitch your timers back to full whenever the sun comes up, or stop what you're doing to return home to sleep whenever night comes, or set night to last as little time as possible which only mitigates the issue, or just use Vanwyrm Cryst and forget about the issue entirely.
Thats where i got mine. Then i used it to make cake to breed with one i got from a pal vendor. Then condensed it that way. I had 3 constantly making cake and 3 breeding pens. Didnt take too long but it was annoying
Heads up. Work speed does not impact ingredient production from the ranch currently (idk if it’s intended or a bug). However, raising skill level from condensing does. If you’re looking for something to do while waiting for eggs, mass catching chickens, cows, and bees is a good idea
The best passive traits on farm pals are ones that reduce food needs. Ranches do not consume sanity, nor function off workspeed, so all that will distract them is hunger.
@josephmerrill5423 at lvl 4 and 5 it does indeed get the next lvl balls (green ones) they may show as regular blue ones on the ground but as you pick them up they show as mega spheres

If theres death penalty on your server, you also can just respawn it will drop a bag and food seems to not expire in the bag(wich also shouldnt despawn)

@@timrussell4468 ......................yeah................................. no................. The best area in game is in vulcano left down with truckload of ore nodes. But you need so much ore in endgame is not worth making nails. Anyway i have base set up on cliff a bit higher and it takes me 3 trips to mine everything. And its faster than pals...
A big tip if you're making a dedicated base just for breeding - use a monitoring stand to increase breeding speed. Pals assigned to breeding farms are immune to reductions in hunger and sanity.

Just an fyi, if youre moving everything in your chest to your inventory there's a button at the top right that will move ut all at once instead of moving everything 1 at a time.
i hope they reduce the amount of pals you need to upgrade them. it just seems a little bit too much, especially considering how little space we have in the box :S
Its only much for bals that are only bosses but it ist hard to get any wild pal to level 5 or 4 just by farming them in the wild and if u do breeding on the side it gets pretty fast imo
A lot of people knew this from the start that's what makes tombat the best miner, while maxing out at level 3 mining making it sound bad he never sleeps 😮 that's right so while everyone else is sleeping he's still out there knocking out any node you have spawned and transporting everything to boxs before morning comes so the morning crews and focus there other works.
The arrow button in the top right beside the sort button in storage containers will send all items from said container to your inventory and vise versa for the arrow above your inventory.
Try "R" on your keyboard or the right bumper on your controller. it only moves items from your inventory which are already in the chest, it will not fill empty slots. This is the way.
I got extremely lucky, just randomly exploring I at level 20ish I found a what are the 3rd rarity called? I think its blue or purple in the inventory, anyway, I found a 3rd rarity fire egg, went back and hatched it, and got Jormuntide Ignis really early. Went from the best kindling I had was a bunch of baby level 1 kindling pals, straight to level 4. Pure excitement lmao. Its the only super rare pal egg Ive found like that, every one sense has been just large or normal, even with do to finding him at a low level like that, and it allowing the access to level 4 kindling, I was like, well... If I get lucky like that again I could get level 4 of other things without needing to be high enough level, like around 40 at least to capture them normally. So Ive picked up absolutely every egg ive seen after that, and havnt gotten another one that rare sense, wont complain to much though, I had better workers for everything but kindling, that gave me level 4 which made kindling my best work by a level at a pretty low level to have it, so it allowed me access to pretty high levels of everything quite early.
You can add your upgraded pal to your party, then spend pal souls to upgrade their work speed then remove them from your party and then make them work on a base. I carry an Anubis that has maxed out work skills which works wonders on top of my own maxed out work speed.
Great video and I appreciate the info. I had just one bit of (probably unwanted) constructive criticism. The way you pronounced the word "artisan" was really jarring and I couldn't stop thinking about it, lol. In American English, the word is typically pronounced like "arta-sin" (or "arda-sn") with the last "a" in "artisan" being practically silent.
Use a flying mount to catch Beguarde, as long as you stay at hight out of its range long enough they won't self destruct. There's a cave near the world boss Elizabee that has respawning ones
good informative video :) no mention of farm animals though, if you condense them up they upgrade their farming skill and double or triple their drops in the farm!
Can you do a video on how to make a base like that for farm breeding? I’ve been trying to get a nice base for farm breeding but the areas I’ve chosen is not so great.
Good day. I want to know how you managed to mark the dating houses on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the base? When I tried to do this, there was a problem with the fact that the building must be completely on the foundation.
They really should adjust how condensing works. Either condensing gives you "essence" as a stackable item/currency in your bag that you then use on your Pal. Or you can *partially* fill the bar. The box is finite, so you can't really work on condensing more than one or *maybe* two (if you aren't a hoarder like me) Pals at a time. Just a little QoL feature off the top of my head.
For Iron mining I just have 10 Tombats (Artisan, Serious, Workaholic & Mine Foreman), The Mine it, and transport it and Don't sleep !, I also have the Camp that spawns Coal, I keep 4 Reptyro who can easy break the 4 coal nodes and Run my Furnaces to smelt everything, Plus I keep 1 Lylene and 1 Penking for berry Farm, Toss in beds and a Hot spring and its self sufficient. Bushi is also lvl 3 lumbering, and I think he's easier to get than Wumpo; so get Bushi untill you can get Wumpo. Wumpo Botan ditches lvl 2 cooling for 1 planting. Knocklem is also level 4 transporting, 3 in mining, and a 3 in gathering.
I want to point out lvl 5 on certain skills doesn't always means it's the most efficient. For example digtoise at lvl 4 mining will always out mine any astegon at lvl 4 or lvl 5 mining due to his interaction with work speed increasing his spin making him more efficient, what astegon does have though is the ability to nuke deposits by riding him and using abilities but that's not passive mining. Wumpo while he can carry the most in one go helzephyr with transport 3 is the best for transport due to him being faster and working 24/7.
I bred the prefect slav... I mean, worker anubis for my base an kept one in my party. I fully condensed into my party one an wondered why he was so much faster at crafting than the same base "workers", but now I know. Didnt even realize his work stats went up till now
It means all parts of the breeder need to be connected to the ground/floor. The back of your platform probably isnt big enough but they do work in the sky!
Yea it makes a big difference but you have to weigh the actual gains you get from the time it takes to do it. I’d say it’s barely ever worth it unless your just bored. Kindling and farming might be worth it but you could just add more crafting stations or relevant pals in the base. Also be careful with going relaxasaurus for Anubis. In the wild they all come with glutton. There are so many options just check your box for pals with artisan, serious, work slave and lucky and go from there
I have to ask a question. Is it possible to use like a Rooby and maximize that into a higher stat, then repeat that process with another Rooby of the opposite sex, then breed them together to further stack that effect by means of that process being repeated ad nauseum?
It may be efficient to have a massive amount of resources to farm cake then because you're gonna need hundreds. 5 berry, 5 wheat, 2 salad, 2 tomato plantations. With 5 Cow for milk, 5 bee for honey and 5 chicken for eggs.
3:29 isn't true. If you breed a specific Pal male with the same pal female it won't ever hatch an egg that's another specific Pal other than what the mother and father are.
Doesn’t jormuntide ignis at that weird island start with level 5 fire? I remember that specifically cause I got one from a random giant dragon egg I found
I trust Anubis (the bred one) it’s Ok for building fast other fire pals & all are so big .. Mine also base is air based (its radius is too Small hope in near updates they give like an area so we can build a Mini city lol it would be Fun
I've just been breeding for condensing. I dont even look at the breed result stats. I throw the eggs in chests and when I have the 116, I hatch and then condense.
The only problem with breeding and playing online (or it might be the server I'm on) is the viewing cage is not learnable but I know it's there as I was going to use it in single player but now playing online plus easier to let the breeding and general farming stuff go on
How did you make these 2nd an 3rd floors on your base without supports? Whenever I try to make a ceiling tile too far from the wall I started from, it says it's missing support.
How in the world do you get your breeding base to actually work like that? Mine, I've walled them in cubicles with beds and feed box, and 9/10 times when I go back to my base, I've got at least half of them wandered out of the breeding room standing idle.
The catch is that except for Vanwyrm Cryst the cooling pals all sleep. Vanwyrm is the only 24/7 cooling pal. Whenever a cooling pal sleeps, the normal timers resume and are much shorter, so they deteriorate rapidly at night, which makes an item rot anyways. Better to have vanwyrm run all the time than to have a bunch rot overnight.
I want to know the speed difference between lvl5 skill and a lvl4 with artisan + work *****? It seems like that might only be 10% which is not that huge of a difference. Because that wouild make breeding into the pals with lvl 3 skills almost as good and opens up your options by a lot.
The breeding results of two parents, regardless of what pals they are, is a spreadsheet. It's determined. There is no chance involved. "Don't breed a parent with a child" is completely wrong. Calls into question any other advice you have, tbh.
For some reason, my pals rarely cook the items I have queued up in a cooking pot after a little while. They will approach when I first start the cakes, but leave and won't even accept being thrown at the cooking pot. I've tried moving my cooking pots to a more open area. Are there any solutions?
Transporting is the most difficult skill to get a pal to work on. The flying pals have all sorts of problems with getting stuck in and on everything. Every other pal with decent transporting ranks also has lumbering, which they prioritize over transporting. So if a tree or a lumber yard exists in your base ever, they will go to war with it rather than moving your stuff. The best success I have had with a transporter has been wixen with a rank 2, which kind of annoys me seeing all these other nice higher ranks about that current mechanics pretty much make useless. The only trouble I have with the wixen is how hard they watch the cooking pot and furnace for me to put anything in.
I wish there were some pals that had lvl 4 in something that weren't the size of an apartment complex
I feel that

......................yeah................................. no................. The best area in game is in vulcano left down with truckload of ore nodes. But you need so much ore in endgame is not worth making nails. You are better off making the red balls for catching and sell the garbage pals to vendor as you get loads of xp when you catch them and they also sell for decent money.
Anyway i have base set up on cliff a bit higher and it takes me 3 trips to mine everything. And its faster than pals...
any mine base tutorials that u could share?
@@timrussell4468
Artisan, serious, lucky, and work slave are the workers' passive dream skills.
the german translation of the condenser is the best laugh i had in a while its "entsafter" german for juicer
A big tip if you're making a dedicated base just for breeding - use a monitoring stand to increase breeding speed. Pals assigned to breeding farms are immune to reductions in hunger and sanity.
didnt mention that Astegon is a dark type therefore will mine all night and not sleep.
I love how jetragon is just perma humping your farm
i have an anubis with serious, lucky, artisan and swift. so i bred it and now i have 2 bases full of anubis mining ores and coal and my main base have 3 of those mining the pit, crafting and zooming around faster than the speed of light...hahahahaha so awesome. i also maxed out work speed for the ones in my base and i gotta tell you when you craft you CRAFT in style haha. the best transporter are vanwyrms by the way cause they dont sleep.
Then just use mods or cheat engine tables to make it 1 per rank.
It’s a survival game, it’s suppose to be a grind lol.
Its only much for bals that are only bosses but it ist hard to get any wild pal to level 5 or 4 just by farming them in the wild and if u do breeding on the side it gets pretty fast imo
They just need to increase the box amount, the amount of pals to upgrade I think is fine
3:26 Cotton warns against the dangers of inbreeding but not for the reasons you typically expect to hear. 😂❤
Also! You can hunt Lovander at night. They drop cakes!
Breed a beegarde to make cake but you need cake to breed a beegarde. I believe that is a catch 22 sir. I bought one from the black market
good informative video :) no mention of farm animals though, if you condense them up they upgrade their farming skill and double or triple their drops in the farm!
i love the fact that manke + lama = bee
good work as always cotton! cant wait for the next one!
I love that every system in Palworld is useful
Ngl didn't realize how good it was gonna be to do this or I probably would've done it by now
Just buy the ingredients! Sell nails and catch the wondering merchant. Ingots make the palworld go round
Can you do a video on how to make a base like that for farm breeding? I’ve been trying to get a nice base for farm breeding but the areas I’ve chosen is not so great.
whoooaaa over 100 hours in and i never noticed that they work skills can be raised
Yeah, but not rly worth it. Its better to just set world to 20 pals and get 1 extra.
@@Bullminator i wish i could get that to work on multiplayer server xD on single player i knew about that tho
Looks at comment section... Wha you can boost them higher 😮 .... Do you know the struggles I went through 🤣
Good day. I want to know how you managed to mark the dating houses on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the base? When I tried to do this, there was a problem with the fact that the building must be completely on the foundation.
Astegon is also a rare spawn in wildlife sanctuary #3 at night, he is much smaller and easier to have in your base.
Suzaku (can be found pretty common in desert area egg) + Relaxaurus
You can get him as soon as you get flying + fire resist gear.
Oh my God I didn't recognize what channel this was till the outro played. Good content I've been watching for a while 😅
You are a gentleman and a scholar sir, well done! Bravo!
I feel we’ll get a lvl 4 woodcutter once we get the giant tree area unlocked in the future
My level 1 monkey will be able to 2 tap that giant tree no probs!
can you make a video on your breeding base? I plan to make a similar one that is only purely for breeding
Had a feeling there was some secret like this. So glad I started with astegon, even more glad this is confirmed lol
(Could easy drop a 1 tombat or a reptyro if in 15 pal world.
crazy how so much basic info known for months from the betas is "new" info only being showcased weeks after release
Secret? People realising It NOW? Condenser always upgraded their proficiency...
Can I get a build tutorial?!? Those things be looking cool af!
Great video. You should start breeding in the lucky trait for an extra 15% boost.
For an easier anubis just do Tombat + Sweepa both low level early game pals
even better, relaxausaurus + celaris or bushi + kingpingue
@wever4873 no sir, Relaxaurus is lv 20+ , bushi lv 23 world boss, Penking lv 25. While tombat you can find them at lv 8 at night and sweepa lv 10
sweepa need to be breeded or u need to go a bit away to found one even for a lvl 10. tonbat is ez to get but its a mid / rare spawn at night with a low capture rate in early.
relaxosaurus is lvl20 but super close to u and ez to cap + celaris super ez in early
also penking is ez to solo u just need to fight him at night in order to kill is add by os when they sleep and bushi got the easiet move in the game super ez to dodge cna solo it at lvl 1 with my punch no pal needed.
the advandage of doing thoses 2 bosses is the fact that bosses a bigger chance to get trait wich can be trait for craft speed wich mean ur anubis while be better earlier
in order to breed pal u need to reach lvl 19. wich is more than enough to kill thoses bosses + in order to hatch an egg u need ancient part wich mean u have to kill bosses anyway
also in the early game cake cost a lot, u dont want to waste them on dog shet stat pal
also in early mid game u will need any way a bushy and a penking for the baking / watermill until the end game.
on the other side u wont need sweepa but u might need to tombat thats all
@@TwilightBahamut
Breeding a parent with a child will never result in a random offspring, it will always be the same type of pal, every time.
Wumpo Botan can spawn in snow location with regular Wumpo as a pair too (just for info)
It can also spawn in the desert. That's where I caught mine.
thx for this quick guide much appreciated.
Can Pals path ok if i used it as a main base with the way you have that 3 layer base? I never tried something like that but it looks really cool
Cotton... Defying physics with floating floors 😂
Frostalion might reach lvl 5 cooling but vanworm cryst is nocturnal. Personally I'd rather the fridge powered constantly.
I bred the prefect slav... I mean, worker anubis for my base an kept one in my party. I fully condensed into my party one an wondered why he was so much faster at crafting than the same base "workers", but now I know. Didnt even realize his work stats went up till now
How are you able to put breeding farms on different levels? When I tried that like a week ago, it said the farm needs to be on the ground..
Yeah same here. Im on PC playing XBOX game pass version. It says this building must be touching the floor or something like that.
It means all parts of the breeder need to be connected to the ground/floor. The back of your platform probably isnt big enough but they do work in the sky!
You just have to wriggle it around to make it work. Rotating it on the same spot sometimes changes it from being able to build or not too
After like 150 egg I got that perfect lucario with artisan, work slave, serious and lucky for a 115% for work
A small note, its actually Astegon that can be found in wildlife sanctuary number 3, not Blazamut.
There are so many options just check your box for pals with artisan, serious, work slave and lucky and go from there
We need to start testing this with Dark work pals to find ones that work even at night.
You should try the test again and switch the lvl 4 and lvl 5. I think pals work faster when there in your party then when assigned to you base.
Amazing. Wish I could game with you. So cool.
If you need beegarde go to the bee boss and she has 3 bee minion's..catch them
so if they get upgraded again is there any bonus to there main stats as well or just work types
For cooling, does the higher level mean the food lasts longer?
I believe so. with penking or frost paca I was getting around 722 hours vs like 400
You would be correct. Each tier of cooling greatly increases the duration of
The catch is that except for Vanwyrm Cryst the cooling pals all sleep.
Hellzephyr is my best transport since he wont sleep and wont get distracted
Condensing soul lvled pals gives you a boost.
I want to know if having the Boost buildings gives you lvl6 Work Skills? Or does it cap at 5?
what happens when you breed two condensed pals, been wondering if it keeps the power up. and you can condense again?
I Love the Super Wumpo Bros!!!!
Imagine an map 10 times larger, 100+ ppl playing and we able to make pal shops
how did you get the floating floors with out support?
That breeding base. Is this the farm up state they keep talking about?
This was my plan but 1st have to make a 4* chickien, cow, and bee to get them to drop more xD
But do get every Pal a +1 with level 5 or just specific?
For some reason, my pals rarely cook the items I have queued up in a cooking pot after a little while. They will approach when I first start the cakes, but leave and won't even accept being thrown at the cooking pot. I've tried moving my cooking pots to a more open area. Are there any solutions?
Bellanoir is lvl 4 medicine base and can go to lvl 5.
A tier 5 crafter WITH musclehead is still faster than a tier 4
what about felbat he's got level 3 medecine to begin with woudnt he reach 4 by condensing to max? is it really only lyleen that reaches 4?
Found Astegon on Sanctuary 3 but game crashed when I went up to him 🤷♂️
Kinda hassle to farm legendary sphere so Verdash can be a good replacement
