Been having a good time but I’m at a point where I need to start getting better gear/maximizing my resource collection. These vids def help a lot. And I always thought the SAN stood for sanity lol
My Pal's SAN is always nearly maxed out at my bases, I think it is cause I never care to overwork them and I have hot baths for them to always relax in with comfortable beds.
Definitely not that hard to maintain pal sanity with some amount of foresight. Cooked berries are great for early game and once you unlock lettuce and tomato salads work even better. If you're bothering with grazing pals, pizza is one of the better foods that does a great job of restoring san (and increases work speed to boot). Throw in a few hot springs (I don't bother making that many nicer beds since i just keep forgetting to bring materials for it) and you should be fine. Good san food also helps with productivity since higher san means less breaks and less breaks means more work. Yes, you can solve all of your workplace issues by throwing your pals a pizza party.
I didn’t realize this until endgame but if you have a slow pal in a boss fight you can just recall them before the bosses big attack hits and send them back out for no damage
Yep, I found this out as well. Unlike Pokemon where you have to send out a replacement, in this game you can just recall them to the ball and throw them back out lol Early game this was how I took out the mammorest boss with a lower level foxpark. I would run around when it was targeting me so my foxpark could attack freely, and when it would target the foxpark I would just recall it an then throw it back out lol
@@joshuasanders3924 It's a fire pal vs plant, so didn't take too long. Foxpark was around mid to high 20's and I had condensed it to 3 star and pumped its stats with pal souls for higher attack. Early exploration tip I'm surprised nobody covers that goes along with your second tip. There are a number of respawn points close to fast travel points. Take a moment at the start of the game to respawn in each area to unlock easy fast travel. When you unlock the second base explore at your leisure and drop the second base any time you want to teleport back home. Secondary addition is that poison and freeze also make pals easier to catch along with electricity. Not sure about fire...
@@FelipeMannrich thanks. Personal testing results had fire seemingly kill them before I could capture while poison seemed to stop ticking when they got to low health but that could all be coincidence
@Loreweavver confirmed fire makes them easier. Last night me and my duo were exploring quite a bit north with wild pals sitting around lvl 28+ came across a level 29 and burned it down to about 2-3% hp. As soon as the fire stopped ticking my spheres started to bounce off of it. Had to whittle it down as close to 1% as possible before it stopped defending against my spheres without the burn status.
Bro I’ve been playing this game for a week now & been watching UA-cam vids on everything PalWorld.. but you Sir have shown me a few things I’ve never seen anyone talk about.. thanks! I’m off to try the armour & shield glitch 👍🏼
I don't agree 100% with the food tip, I never have an issue, and all I do is add some extra hot springs. I've only ever had a single Pal have an issue, and it was in a base that didn't have much to keep them sane. Berries are the only food I generally have in the Food Box, though I do toss random food drops from pals in, on occasion. If you want to take the time to cook food, go for it, but so far I haven't seen it as a significant issue. Fluffy beds and hot springs are more than enough, generally.
Don't know why but all of these tip videos that I see the people are like "Set up your slave mining pits beds over here." and they're level 50 with crazy pals yet still using the crappy level 1 pal beds somehow. You also have to ensure there is enough hot spring space for everyone, sometimes they take breaks to use them but because you have a Mammorest on your team he takes up the entire spring himself, so nobody else gets to use it and their break is over with 0 san recovery. Build lots of them, not just one. That said, wheat farms are still useful because some of the food items you can eat give you and your pal team buffs. Jam filled buns for example give a +10% boost to DEF, so they're better off in your pal team feed bag than your base feeding bin. Mushroom soup, which is mushrooms + milk, also increases work speed by 30% which is very useful. I set my base up in the autumn area just so I can gather up a bunch then cook up a ton of mushroom soup all at once, then I shove it in the feed box. Works like a hard work order from the monitor stand but without the SAN loss and dubious moral implication. I wish you could just grow them, maybe in a future update.
My sanity is good as well as I use better beds and the improved springs. I use better food just so they work longer between eating. Just have a high level kindler or 2 low level ones and an extra cookpot or whatever. They will slowly cook up stacks while you are gone. For the big boys with big bellies, I'll manually feed them the super big foods as well just to top them off sometimes. For those that don't know, stand close enough for their info box to appear and press right stick on controller and you can feed, pet or other things like when you have a summoned party pal without needing to put them in your party. Seems you can only feed them once that way and as they are approaching hungry though. That's why I use that 250 food until I'm higher level.
In regards to that last glitch, it could also be used as a sort of bootleg layered/cosmetic armor. You'd still be getting higher stats than just 1 set of armor, but if you like the look of another set you could wear that in the primary slot. Cosmetic stuff like that is something I'm really hoping for in the future.
I do the same thing with the feed box- but don't worry about getting a non perishable for the empty slots. Just have your stacks of wheat/berries/eggs/tomatoes in the final 2 or 3 slots of the bin then place your cooked berries and whatever else in the first two. I just use what he showed in the video for the most part- Jam toast and cooked berries. The eggs are great too- if you upgrade your Artisan Chickens with a condenser you'll be good. Same with the berry cows... if you upgrade them you wont need a berry farm.
It doesn't have to be food to fill those slots ironically that can be used as a chest for your local workers and your base will still draw from it. Also pals will grab first item in feed box from left that is edible so don't worry if first slot is full. I purposefully fill slots to force Pals to walk my ingredients to refrigerator
The grapple gun couple with the crafted critter glider is even faster! Stun baton works great to tame! When grenades are unlocked, the "Shock" grenades also increase taming!

Even if locked, workstations in that base will still pull items out of your chest when someone crafts a recipe that uses them. *This includes the statue.* So things like souls, ancient parts, etc, are NOT safe in your locked chest.
I do find it rather hilarious that you can use a pal box offensively, or just as a way to have a fast travel point anywhere. Take one with you to mine locations, mine an area, instant port back and put all the goodies away. No need to carry it around! :D I wonder if they will do an update and changes this function a bit, because it does feel rather broken that one of the best use for the main base building, is to not use it for base building.

@@permaglarge/huge pals won't interact with objects that don't have a space between them so I always place 1 full square between my pal interactive objects. This includes walls 🧱, and ceilings.
Digtoise is good at mining at the stone pit. When it comes to mining resource nodes though the pal’s attack damage is actually the biggest factor, not their mining level. Mining level does matter depending on what node you want to mine I believe it goes: Lvl 1: Stone Lvl 2: Metal Lvl 3: Coal, Sulfur, Quartz Each level builds on the rest of course, ie. lvl 3 can farm metal and stone in addition to the rest. That said the best pals for farming nodes will be whichever ones you have with the highest attack value that can mine the node you want.
I believe Digtoise is simply bugged. I used to have a base with some digtoise and would only get like 20-30 ore every hour and I didn't figure out why until I put some other miners in there. Worked like a charm once I stopped using them
It's just a game issue I think that will need to be fixed since the digtoise does have level 3 mining, it just doesn't do enough damage to the ore. Literally any other level 3 mining pal will do more damage than digtoise unless it's in your party. The resource nodes you can make at the base aren't dependent on damage, just work ability, so that's kind of a workaround if you need just stone and don't want massive pals taking up a lot of space in your base.
@@frankthecat1671 It’s hard to gauge how much damage the Digtoise actually do since their spin attack to mine is a flurry of 1s compared to other pals that hit single melee attacks. Dps is how you can gauge the speed you’ll farm the resource nodes. Compared to something like a Cattiva a Digtoise would be faster because it does more raw attack damage. Against something like a Blazamut or Anubis though the Digtoise will almost always lose, even with some good attack boosting passives and a high level. The best bet when farming nodes specifically is to just find a pal with the highest attack rating and a mining level that is high enough for it to hit the node you’re farming.

@@escapedcops08 a game is a game, you can play however you want to play it:DD if it's not fun playing with structure decay, then disabling it enriches the experience, not the other way around.
Another tip for base building! Beds just need to exist within the parameters of your base in order to count towards your Pal’s SAN. Which means.. you can place the medium beds inside walls or between the ceiling and roof. In fact, it’s more efficient for your Pals to not be able to access their beds as they will just sleep wherever they are when it becomes night and instantly resume come morning. It saves you space and time!
In terms of the mounts (ground, flying, gliders) No one ever seems to talk about the pets who you use as a glider. I dont know if you get even better ones, but so far I have Galeclaw and he's wayyyy faster than the mega glider. This would work really well with your shield glitch and grappling gun technique!
I think it's mostly because no one really wants to use a pal slot for only gliding, but yeah, if you feel like doing it that way, would be really fast to get around from high areas.
@@Sotanaht01 Because the pal gliders use less stamina and are faster than the gliders you build. Also in the early game there are certain things you can do to glide faster than most of the mounts can fly. So specifically when you are in high up areas you can make it down to somewhere faster using gliding than you can flying.
@Sotanaht01 pretty much what magicmynd said. Also, you don't need to summon, and then mount a glider either. You just double jump and your moving... maybe try galeclaw for yourself and see if you still think it's not with having. I'd rather have a flying and glider combo, then a flying and ground mount combo
Having cooked food for you pals is also preferred over berries because it will fill their hunger meter a higher amount. This gives your base pals a productivity boost due to reducing the number of times they have to stop working and travel to the feed box I cook and put the salad (lettuce + tomato) in the feed box since it's supposed to give a work speed boost. Build a cooking pot right next to each of your feed boxes and cook up a 30-50 count stack of the cooked food you are feeding them and then leave the food in the cooking station. Cooked food doesn't start to spoil until you remove it from the cooking stations, so I always have a stack ready at the cooking station next to the feed box for when the food in the feed box starts to gets low.
Mammoth boss pal has an AoE stomp that clears multiple ore deposits in 2-3 casts. You need to ride it tho. It might or might not damage your base, so it's better used in ore farming bases i.e. near the church or on autumn planes base spot. Another downside - trees get cut too, but tbh any type of inconvenience for DAMN AOE
Campfires do not passively cook, it requires a kindling pal to cook... A tip (idk if he goes over it) is when you have food thats going to go bad just toss it on the fire and itll never go bad, or, with a freezer, right click the food out of the freezer into ur inventory then back in, itll refresh the duration is has until it decays
Yeah, a very slow cooking... But if you ever notice how campfires catch you on fire... Try using them against enemies. The enemies will burn just as easily.
Here's a tip: Keep a backup of your heat and cold resistant clothing, in case you die in said region, and if you need to get back, as soon as you get in the environment start taking damage before you can get to your dropped gear.
Or take a pal with you that keeps you warm or cold. There is one pal I found that as long as you are riding it, it protects you from both heat and cold 😉
@@DJIronChef In that case pretty much every area in the game has random wood and stone laying around. Craft a primitive workbench and make a torch quickly for frozen areas. not much you can do for hot areas unfortunately if your pals are knocked out and you have dropped all your equipment.
I didn't know about the Black Marketeer's resetting like that, pretty nice tip. I have a handful of merchants to buy medicine, buy food ingredients for quick meals (lettuce takes way too long to harvest), buy ammo, and to sell/pay pals. For gliding, I have been sliding down a slope then gliding for speed but the grapple method might be more applicable. In regards to mining ore, I like to think Digtoise assigned at base are bugged and deal 1 damage a tick causing them to be much slower. Anubis (breed Relaxasaurus + Celeray) are pretty good end goal miners as they can mine it more efficiently, eat a lot less than Digtoise, have a high handiwork skill, and have the transporting skill.
Something people might not know is that if you want to use 3rd or 2nd base as a quick teleporation waypoint, then it's best to have it built anywhere prior to this. When you hover over your base on the map you can disasemble it and all the resourceswill go into your inventory allowing you to build it even if your inventory is empty. In fact if you ever want to teleport to the base it works the same. Disasemble, build, teleport, disasemble and place it elsewhere for future use. Works great if you explore too far and want to go back immediatelly.
One tip I have that I came up with when I ran out of oil repeatedly and was always scavenging for the mammoths: Instead of killing the mammoths, capture them. You can breed or butcher them. If you butcher them, they'll give you twice the resources, once for capturing them and again when you butcher them. Have one base constantly breed the mammoths and when 5 or more hatch, exchange your party pals for the mammoths, get a cleaver and go to work. You'll get all the oil you want plus lots of high quality meat to cook for you and your base pals.
Also, nobody talks about this but if you are sprinting on an incline you can get some good speed if you crouch while sprinting, you'll slide like a madman! Also preserves momentum when jumping and hitting the glider. You can also attack and throw spheres while sliding, it's a game changer for me, doding stuff is easier etc.
I paused the video, just to thank you for the quick stacking tip. Nothing is ever a pointless tip! I learned after a week of playing that you can rename Pals ... and i take all tips seriously, nonetheless thanks for all the tips!!!
11:00 Digtoise is currently bugged and thats why they dont mine well when assigned to a base. Good tip to get by until its fixed! And no I didn't know about the R key to auto stack items in storage boxes so you can feel better.
another thing you can do to get crazy speed on the glider is to slide down an incline. if you dont know, if you crouch while sprinting, you will slide. its normally pretty useless, but you go really fast when sliding down a slope. if you jump while sliding, you keep that momentum, and same goes for gliding.
Nice guide, pretty much sharing these videos with all my discord server cause basically everyone plays it... really appreciate the videos, helped me out alot
I definitely didn't know about the quick stack transfer and I'm level 29 lol. A tip for mining ore I use often; the Desolate Church spawn point has at least 7 ore deposits in the back. I mine each ore, and whenever I am encumbered I hop on Direhowl and use it's dash attack to get to the next ore rock. Repeat until I've mined all ores, which is about 10 minutes, and then ride Direhowl back to the teleporter. I get 320 ore in 8 minutes every time
in your stun section, you show a before and after. In the before you are attempting to capture from the front, and the after your capturing from behind. There is a significant base bonus capturing from behind
Great tips here, there was like only one or two I already knew (aside from the quick stack). While using the base as a mobile Carrier is both hilarious and ingenious, it’s hard for me not to immediately put my bases down as soon as I earn them (I pre-plan the spots as im exploring), I just feel like im losing out on so many resources
Yeah, moving the base around to carry pals to boss fights was a good tip, but issue is that you only get 3 bases and I use all 3 of them, so I can't use this technique. I have one base for all my item and basic resource production like wood and stone, one for mining ore and one for mining coal, so I don't have any other base slots to use. I wish they let you have more than 3. Maybe it's something that will be changed later.
@@magickmynd1296 There is a spot that has both ore and coal. It's near the teleport point called "sealed realm of the guardian" there is a video from UncleMumble about it if you can't find the location.
In regards to that secret room trick. Any chest in the base can have the resources pulled from it when building and crafting. Even ones you put a password on.
Sure, but you can also build your house outside of the base boundaries and then any chest not inside the base boundaries can't be pulled from when crafting. So as long as your server doesn't have building degradation turned on you can do that instead to safeguard some resources for yourself. It's a bit of a hassle to have to carry the resources manually too and from the secret chest, but if you want to keep rare or valuable stuff to yourself, it's a must have.

Been having a good time but I’m at a point where I need to start getting better gear/maximizing my resource collection. These vids def help a lot. And I always thought the SAN stood for sanity lol
It probably does. I call it both sanity and stability because the description says mental stability.
@SwanyPlaysGames to be fair sanity is literally how mentally stable you are
@@SwanyPlaysGames I'm not sure where I saw this, but I'm pretty sure at some point in the game I read the word sanity .

My Pal's SAN is always nearly maxed out at my bases, I think it is cause I never care to overwork them and I have hot baths for them to always relax in with comfortable beds.
Same here, very rare my pals get sick
Same. Those are more than enough for sanity recovery together with cooked berries.
I'm just saying I am able to keep pals at near 100 SAN with just eating berries@@nickrl113

I didn’t realize this until endgame but if you have a slow pal in a boss fight you can just recall them before the bosses big attack hits and send them back out for no damage
Yep, I found this out as well. Unlike Pokemon where you have to send out a replacement, in this game you can just recall them to the ball and throw them back out lol
Early game this was how I took out the mammorest boss with a lower level foxpark. I would run around when it was targeting me so my foxpark could attack freely, and when it would target the foxpark I would just recall it an then throw it back out lol
@@magickmynd1296 that must have took awhile unless you modified server?

Early exploration tip I'm surprised nobody covers that goes along with your second tip.
There are a number of respawn points close to fast travel points. Take a moment at the start of the game to respawn in each area to unlock easy fast travel.
When you unlock the second base explore at your leisure and drop the second base any time you want to teleport back home.
Secondary addition is that poison and freeze also make pals easier to catch along with electricity.
Not sure about fire...
Fire makes them easier to catch too
@@FelipeMannrich thanks.

If they don't renew and perish, they're going to be filled with other random stuff
@asianotakuguy8544 for me my guys work faster than the perish rate. I cant cook enough to keep up with my berries and eggs.
Your commentary is always so entertaining and informative. Keep up the great work!
The grapple gun couple with the crafted critter glider is even faster!
Stun baton works great to tame!

Man the keeping a base for a boss battle tip is probably the best tip ive heard super smart I would have never thought of that 😅
Digtoise is good at mining at the stone pit. When it comes to mining resource nodes though the pal’s attack damage is actually the biggest factor, not their mining level. Mining level does matter depending on what node you want to mine I believe it goes:
Lvl 1: Stone
Lvl 2: Metal
Lvl 3: Coal, Sulfur, Quartz
Each level builds on the rest of course, ie. lvl 3 can farm metal and stone in addition to the rest.
Secret room is only good for non crafting mats...otherwise they can just pull the mats from ur box while crafting even if u lock it too
This is why I put a box just outside the base perimeter. I'm a solo player but when I co-op I'll couple this with the secret room.
Sadly it doesn't work: Foundations outside a baseradius will despawn after a while 😢

The climbing through stairs trick also works with slanted roof

Why would you use a glider at all when you have a flying mount though? It's just a waste of a pal slot when you could mount up instead.
@@Sotanaht01Because short of endgame flying mounts a Galeclaw glider is WAYYYYY faster than anything you can fly.
Best tip video I’ve seen yet. Lots of great stuff here. Thanks for putting this together.
Having cooked food for you pals is also preferred over berries because it will fill their hunger meter a higher amount. This gives your base pals a productivity boost due to reducing the number of times they have to stop working and travel to the feed box
I cook and put the salad (lettuce + tomato) in the feed box since it's supposed to give a work speed boost.
That chest stacking is an underrated tip! Thank you! I hated moving it over.

The quick stack command is new to me thank you for this video.
the campfire can do a passive cooking, you can make like 10 of it, and just leave the berries and mushrooms on them as you leave and explore

One tip I have that I came up with when I ran out of oil repeatedly and was always scavenging for the mammoths:
Instead of killing the mammoths, capture them.

I get 320 ore in 8 minutes every time
Safer way to gift pals to buddies is putting that pal to work and let your buddy take it from the worker group
in your stun section, you show a before and after.
