@Truth Filter For UA-cam not really these pageants are a real thing trust me I grew up in a small town in Alabama and these pageants are real and the way these people act is real, has nothing to do with Hollywood unfortunately
+viastephtop Never watched it, but just from the name, and seeing bits and pieces of stuff like it, I knew it was something that needs to go away right now. These parents, most often the mothers, are the real problem in stuff like this. They are trying to live their dreams through their children. And fathers are no better, especially when it comes to sports.
+Michael Bay And the strange thing is that...Mothers? They're supposed to be better than this. MUCH BETTER than this. These people were using their kids like puppets, dolls. Yeah when I actually wanted to watch the channel. That was literally the only reason I had cable tv. Its been shit for years so I cancelled my cable and this vid was the most T&T's ive seen since and I still want to smack the parents for exploiting their children so sexually.
AJ Forrester omg I wish the same thing would happen in the US. I’ve competed in pageants until I was 15 years old and they could honestly be considered some of the worst times of my life. The worst ones were definitely when I was younger, and it seems like the younger the age group the more mean-spirited the parents get. The benefits that you get come from competing in pageants (like better public speaking, interview skills and overall professionalism) aren’t present until you enter the teen/adult competitions anyways.
Raven Snow Okay, I understand she was being culturally insensitive, but you don't have to be so emotional about it (and good lord, if these dogs don't shut the **** ** I will murder them both!).
+jessiem6694 Seriously...it's depressing, too. I have a toddler, and I literally cannot fathom doing this to her. I think Leather Jacket Guy nailed it..."A parade of lost innocence." So sad.
@Fierce Omega I'm sure 99.8% do hate it but they should do more.. It should be legally banned and all parents involved should be charged with Child Abuse.
+LadyNightthorn Exactly. How do you know the children are consenting? They're being pushed by their parents! What if their parents made them go by threatening them with punishments? Children again being used as their parents' tools to get famous...
+AmyD I loved it when they had Trading Spaces and While you were out. Also pre-DVR and streaming they used to have decent stuff to watch when there was nothing interesting to watch. This can be said of A&E, Discovery and History too. Now-a-days, they have to air stuff that is horrific, but you cannot look away, in order to get those eyeballs to tune in - people don't just flip channels only to discover a mildly interesting educational documentary and find themselves watching the whole thing anymore.
Which is sad, because I loved watching those. I miss them. =( Bravo used to be a channel all about art, theatre, and independent cinima, now it's a bunch of junk and Spoiled rich women screaming and punching each other. There was a channel called "Ovation" that took over the artsy stuff, but I don't watch a lot of TV anymore, so I'm not sure if it's still around.
AmyD"I don't watch a lot of TV anymore." - that's exactly why they have been driven to such extremes of programming to get people to watch their channels (or more importantly - their ads.)
"Beauty is pain" is what my mum would say when she brushed out the knots in my hair growing up. That's not supposed to be for "do this pageant so mummy can live on vicariously through you".
Why is it not illegal for shit like this to happen? I think you shouldn't be able to enter your child into competitions based on LOOKS until the age of 15, at least that way the child is actually sentient
+Jaysus Christ There are several states that are looking into having child beauty pageants banned. Not on their own merit, but because of concerns of how they attract pedophiles & child safety.
Jasmine Lav. It's good they're doing something about it, but it should be banned because of the effects putting a child through a beauty pageant can have on someone. Its honestly horrible
Jaysus Christ I guess I misunderstood you when you said "Why is it not illegal for s**t like this to happen?" My bad. Even still, setting an age limit IS banning it for the younger kids - and a bit of an overreaction imho.
Honestly, as a past Glitz Pageant competitor/winner, I have to say that the pageants did help me come out of my shell and helped me not be shy, but that's about it. My mom put me in the cupcake dresses, full makeup and hair, with flippers and all the "fakeness", but she never took it to the extremes. In fact, she found it disgusting to see those kinds of parents. Sure, I won almost every time, but my mom always told me that it should never get to my head and that I should always be humble unlike most of the girls on the show. This show disgusts me and I wish I could say as a competitor that this was all the producers telling the girls and their families what to say/do, but it's not. And as a retired competitor, the only good comment I have is it broke my shyness and I got plenty cool crowns/trophies/sashes.
There are much better and healthier ways to become less shy. I did a research paper in high school about how pageants can negatively affect kids; any possible benefits of pageants are not worth the damage they can do to a developing kid. Glad you came out relatively unscathed though.
The problem is the parents! Many of these parents ,let's say mum's treat their little girls as trained animals to full fill their own uncomplsh dreams.false teeth, fake or real tanning, depilating eyebrows. Costumes made for strippers or worst. That the uglyness of these pagents

Irish people react to classic Irish ads. I'm talking the ESB ad with Alan Hughes and the 'Phone wreckers are idiots' ad with Bob Geldof. Make it happen.
I always believed Toddlers and Tiaras should have been staged like a horror film. When the little girls turn around there should be thriller type screamer sound effects.
I would like to say that during one episode I saw a girl who was 10 and really wanted to be there and her mother was genuinely nice and kind and the girl was sweet. Also they didn't touch on it in this video but a lot of their dresses are hundreds of dollars and this girl shows up, no attitude whatsoever, in her homemade sparkly dress, and she won overall winner. The other moms looked PISSED and it was great.

That guy with the long black hair, and beard is amazing lol xD i love him
"No fruit, no vegetables, no morals" 😂😂
From 2:07 - 2:52 I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe omg
I can't believe child pageants are still a thing. I thought they would've ended after JonBenet was murdered.
They are huge in the south especially small towns
Good to see I agree with the Irish .
Irish people react to classic Irish ads. I'm talking the ESB ad with Alan Hughes and the 'Phone wreckers are idiots' ad with Bob Geldof. Make it happen.
I love watching Irish people watch stuff ❤
"No fruit, No vegetables, No morals." Greatest thing ever.
I only click on these videos cuz I'm crushing on the red headed Irish girl ... Such a super cutie!
Breeding ground for pedophiles....moms living through their kids due to their failed years...makes me sick
I really like their reactions to this crazy show
I always believed Toddlers and Tiaras should have been staged like a horror film. When the little girls turn around there should be thriller type screamer sound effects.
I love their reactions to this!
"what? why?!"
"because she was wearing clothes"
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jacket and curls are together again!
Leather jacket is NOT having this!
It's absolutely disgusting. To think this aired on what used to be a education channel.
lol i LOVE the guy who is always in black leather and the guy with the red curly hair with him. so cute and funny :)
Who else thinks curly is attractive? 😍😘❤
Me. But he resembles my bf very very much. :D
Subscribed! These people felt the exact same way I did watching that show
Love the guy in black, he looks like Inigo Montoya...
I kinda want to hear him say "hoity toity toity" a few times. XD
Oh my goodness, he does!
