New to archery, in that "choice paralysis" mode of choosing my first bow. Something about your videos going over the various bows, and your price point builds are truly helpful in calming that anxiety of making a poor choice. Thank you!
I like a 34-35 ATA bow. If I needed a new bow, this is one I would surely consider. My 2013 35" ATA bow (4.5 pounds) has an IBO speed rating of 340 fps. The Exalt 35 is surely a nice bow, but spec-wise bows haven't changed much in the past 10 years. I may not buy another new bow in my lifetime.
I have 5 elite bows I love them I am 68 years old and always liked that they have great prices keeping them around one thousand dollars I see they have gotten on the bandwagon and raised prices also so I guess no more new Elite bows for me thanks Elite
I’m the only one in my house without an elite. My older son has the kure my younger son has the envision and my wife has the allure. This may have made the list.
This was a great review. I like the way he just lays out the specs for the average archer to understand. It’s fun to watch PJ shoot and get excited when he nails a shot. It seems like a really cool setup. But poor PJ is overworked. looks like he’s been on a bender and likely didn’t get home from the BadaBing! until at least 3am. I’m gonna start a GoFund Me and raise some money to get this overworked man a new razor and some shave cream.
I would feel totally comfortable shooting this bow if I weren't shooting the Mathews. I shoot the Mathews because they are the title sponsor for one of our primary CAM videos, Shot of the Week. It is the "Mathews Shot of the Week," and so I have to shoot a Mathews in it. And because I have to shoot a Mathews in that video, I shoot a Mathews all the time so that I'm familiar with it. If it were the "Elite Shot of the Week," I'd have zero problem shooting the Exalt 35.
My guess is more guys would appreciate a 30-32" draw vs. the other end of 24-25" draw length they are offering on this bow. A 35" ATA should offer longer draw lengths for sure!
@@driftlesshunter9200 I agree, most people on the lower end of the draw spectrum aren’t reaching for a 35” ata bow. That bow would fit me like a 30” ata on a shorter shooter 🤦🏻♂️
@@calebkeel6119 I am only 5'8 and I hate short bows. After shooting target for so long a 30" bow just feels like crap to me now. I want my hunting bows to be around 33 ATA and target bows to be around 38 ATA ... its all relative and this bow is a crossover, not a pure hunting bow, and on the target side, 35 is a short bow. If you want a longer draw length in the target world you are usually looking at 38-40" bows. I would have thought they could get 31" out of a 35 but oh well. This bow would be great for people that only want 1 bow to shoot some 3d and hunt. Could even handle some indoor and Fita shooting reasonably well. It seems the trend was always to go shorter and shorter on the ATA with some bows going all the way to 27 and 28... but in the past few years everyone is realizing those short bows don't shoot as well and people are trending back up to 30s and 33s for hunting, with some hunting bows even reaching up to 36. More stability, accuracy, and pleasant to shoot. I will gladly give up a few FPS for a more pleasant bow
Y’all whining about not having a 31” draw. 😂 0.1717% is the percentage of the American Male population over 6’5” which if your proportionally built that’s the height that would correlate to your draw. Sure there’s maybe a couple percent swing for freaks of nature with orangutan arms but even that’s slim. Most of y’all need to drop the ego and get properly fitted. Hinge/Tinder doesn’t have a box for draw length so don’t worry she’ll never now. 😅
Same. Im 6'5" and 30 wont cut it. I used to shoot a Mathews Conquest 2 with a 41" ata. Hunted with it for years. What is up with almost no longer draw options?
Thats one of the main reasons elite shooters choose elite. Their grip is considered one of the best, most repeatable grips in the business. That being said some grips don't work for some people.. Mathew's is widely known for having terrible stock grips that people have to swap for aftermarket.
@@ecrank83 I agree, the Mathew’s stock grip is horrible, and the grip of a bow is very personal. That is why I like that Mathews has the ability to replace it. I started 3D printing my own! Other than that I found that the prime grip was the best stock grip I’ve used

More of this style please, it gives us intimate knowledge of the bow!!
Can't wait to test one!
Prob the most slept on bow brand imo
Slept on ?
Elite and Darton both.

I love my darton, when it’s time to replace it darton and elite will definitely be on my list.

PJ….I do like watching the “nuts and bolts” of putting a bow together. Missed you at Cullam but hope to see you soon. I appreciate the video.
Great to show the degree in difficulty of setting up and tuning the bow.
Great review! I am loving my Verdict, this looks like a winner too!
Just ordered the Exalt, will see if I like it better than my Verdict!
I enjoyed watching the tuning PJ! You do some great reviews! Thank you
I do like the set up portion, excellent, thank you!
Thank you! We really enjoyed this new format, too. Glad you enjoyed it.
PJ, Thanks for the detailed review and set up process

same. I always feel like a need a new bow then I shoot them and it's all marketing BS. My specs are roughly the same as yours.
What's the brace height on your bow?
Holy cow! Another beautiful bow that I'll never be able to buy in my lifetime!
Hi hi. Really like the whole set up process you did in this video. More please. Like the bow 2.
Loved the setup process. In 5 years I will be able to afford a used one from AT classifieds.
Absolutely do setup all the time
We need more iron buck challenges with the store staff you've done before too!!!
Great video

Absolutely love this content!
That was a great video
4.9 lbs. Dang! But pretty good speed for almost 7" brace.
Actually listed at 4.8..There are quite a few 33" bows with the same or close to same weight.

But PJ you did not take into consideration your influence on the bow while setting the 3rd axis.
Why not adjust the bottom and top set technology evenly?
You can
For the love why is it impossible to get up to 32” draw for these companies
