I bought this and it's awesome. Seat is okay, but good enough. Frame is solid, does move a tiny bit, but not noticable when racing. It's not heavy, so easy to move, especially when you have a fitting mat under it. One issue i had was when i was setting it up. There are tons of different sized screws with 5mm difference in size and NONE of them are labeled, so it will take extra time to figure out which screws are which when you set this up. On top of that, the holes in the curved wheel support bar where not aligned correctly. I have tried to get all 4 screws in, but no matter what i did, the last one just wouldn't go in. I've tried putting them in, in different order, I've literally laid on the floor, wresteling the tubes to bend them slightly to i could get the screw in. But just nothing worked. I settled on 3 screws on the bottom eventually, but with the 2 extra support bars it's still totally solid. So yeah, if you're thinking about buying this, you will need to employ some patience and flexibility when setting it up, but once you got it set up you'll have a lot of fun with it! For the price i would definitely recommend it.
If you look closely at 8:30 you can see that the flex is in the mounting plate, not the mounting arm. It might be mitigated by moving the accessories a little forward on the plate if that's possible.
After waiting two weeks for mine, Already having My Fanatech wheel come in, There was two bolts in the seat that were cross threaded that I could not get out. May everyone else who orders this have better luck then me. Returning and getting something else.
Cross threaded? Dang, that's a bummer. There were a couple that required quite a bit of force for me to get loose but I was able to assemble it fine after that. Hope the next one works better for you!
this is nice but after a few months everything has to be retighten and after a few months the welds start to break from fricktion and force from play the shifter arm was the first thing to go for me
Nice review and nice cockpit for the money! I have question about Playseat. I see a lot people who have lower back pain problems with Playseat trophy when play because of position . Do you have problems with Playseat ?
Sadly this is still out of stock on NLR's site. I'm hoping it comes back in stock soon, still considering either this or the GT Lite Pro for my apartment.
@@sjguy1962 no worries! Another useful tip is to go to a junkyard and buy a passenger seat. The passenger seat is usually in perfect condition and no one wants them because only the drivers seat wears out and needs replacing. I got a Porsche seat for $40
Most rigs shipping alone is more than this whole rig, I have this rig and it works perfectly, and if your flexing the frame you need to change your braking style, slamming the pedal is not fast!
Looks more like a roadcar seat than a racecar seat. Even a gt3 seating position is more agressive. This or the f gt? (not the beach chair one, the og f gt)
I was looking at this cockpit but I ended up buying the Playseat Trophy in black because of the lightness and easier mobility. It should come in a couple of days, hopefully along with my Fanatec DD Pro 8NM. This will be my first racing rig setup. I look forward to giving this a go.

Thank you! That’s a great price - The Playseat Trophy and Logitech were made for each other and I think that it is more comfortable than the GTRacer. There have been times with friends though that I really wish the Trophy was easier to adjust.
Maybe you dont have the force turned all the way up on your wheelbase but i know from experience that my 23nm alhpa U would tear this thing apart in minutes. This rig wouldnt last me a month even being really careful with it and turning my wheelbase way down to like 10nm. For this price, at least in canada, i can buy an aluminum profile rig and a junkyard seat that would completely embarass this junk. Just look at the flex in that seat back and base. Just mounting my sequential shifter and handbrake on this would brake the welds in one race worth of usage.
That makes sense because this rig only supports 13nm. You would want something stronger for 23nm. But for people using 8nm or 5nm this will suffice. Not everyone wants to go to junkyard to scavenge parts. There's a reason this is always out of stock, 350 bucks gets a reasonably solid rig with an adjustable seat. Good value.

This rig is for people that can't be bothered to, and/or aren't capable of, building something themselves. Which tbh is the vast majority of people. I just wanted to let people know that there are better and cheaper options, if they are willing/able.

From what I've read, yes it is. I believe you follow the mounting plan for the T500 for the T300.
