Nice review! BTW you can add some music in with youtube editor, and adjust the volume of it too. 😉 ...and I would buy this rig just for the added adjustability of everything, not even intending to go full F1 style. I clicked on the link in description, signed up to get the discount- was almost going to pull the trigger, and then realized everything's sold out. All the profile rigs are sold out. Bummer! So you can tell them you would have had at least one sale directly from this video, but they're all out of stock. Maybe you can find out when they'll be back in stock?
@@KarlGosling USA, looks like the "Prime Lite" is in stock now, but it wasn't when I looked. I think I'll wait for the Hybrid to come back in stock. I like the idea of having extra height adjustability on seat and pedals. I have a bad back and I think that will help me find a comfortable driving position. ✌
Hi Karl. When fitting the pedal tray sliders, secure them to the profile, then slide them toward you to access the front bolts to the pedal tray, and then away from you to access the rear. This gives complete and open access to the pedal tray bolts. Same way as fitting a seat on sliders.
Love your reviews, so in depth, critical and honest. I am pretty certain this review has just cost me some money as i love that adjustable pedal deck. I have short legs and always have a slight comfort issues with the wheel / pedal relationship. Plus its time i went to a profile rig since ive got so much bolted to my Omega ART. (Amplifiers, USB sound card, USB Hub, 4x Bass shakers, 2x Wind simulators... Every item also your fault Karl. Your reviews sell goods! LOL ) Seriously, Keep doing what you do, the way you do it mate. The best sim reviewer on the tube by a long stretch in my opinion, and ive been sim racing for maybe 30 years now!
Very kind words mate thanks! In fairness the ART holds up well with all that on but a profile rig is a BIG step up and this does adjust very quickly if needed!
The title says it all. Beware of the comparison with the two systems for the pedals: the F1 can't slide, unlike the hybrid. The all-hybrid chassis really does adapt to all body shapes. I've posted a review with photos on their site. I also recommend the Inertia seat, it's a single element and has no flex unlike all the other seats they sell.
Thanks for this review! This helped me actualy make teh decesion against this cockpit and go for the RCP PRO cockpit. Was really struggling with the decision. Thanks Karl you put out great information!
@@KarlGosling thanks to your review I am sold on the hybrid version as it allows for a lot more flexibility and adjustments to controls. Question for you. Would you recommend 3x 32inch displays with this rig or some other size?
I've had it for 2 weeks now. Suoer easy to assemble (my first rig), and it's been perfect for me. Rock aolid, and the adjustabillity is amazing. I added the integrated monitor mount, works flawlessly. I went with the regular hybrid edition instead of the formula option. The sides in my pedal tray are blue and red instead of white and red like in this video, looks like they may have changed it some since I ordered. Such an amazing cockpit, highly recommend.
Interesting point at the end about the F1 pedal deck. I wonder if the easy mod here is to replace the bolts that go into the wheel pillars with handles (and the all-important penny washers) like the back side of the deck has. Then you won’t need an allen key at all. For a hybrid rig the rigidity is very solid though, that’s impressive.
Great review, purchased mine about 10 days ago was delivered the next day. So far not had any problems with flex or adjustability love it and was well worth the upgrade from F-GT
@@josephlauer8980 No idea bud as not tried the elite but looking at it (the 160 version) I would say the Elite is a bit stiffer but a lot more expensive and not as easy to adjust
Strongly considering one of these for the studio space for a 5 year old so I can adjust it nice and small for him, but also have the flexibility to extend it for his older sister to drive!
great review as always karl 👍, thorough and in depth and honest, best reviewer on youtube imo , i do think gt omega make some dam good rigs , i have the prime lite and more then happy with it! I did get a adjustable keyboard tray from trak racer and for what i paid (£90!!!!!) which for me was alot of money i expected better quality , its useable but not as good as i hoped
Been using the hybrid style for the past week or so. I agree the hybrid pedal tray is definitely a few inches too short, but it is very easy to change on the fly and even though I play mostly F1, it still gets the job done for me.
I upgraded my pedal tray to the hybrid one that comes with this cockpit and I've been loving it. I swapped my seat from a recliner to a bucket recently, and it made it 10x easier/quicker to figure out the best position compared to my last pedal plate. Toolless adjustability is awesome, and no perceived flex from the pedal slider that I notice. I had the same issue with the instructions saying to install the sliders to the rig first 😅
Great review as always, when I do finally make the upgrade to Ali I will likely go with the Prime from GT Omega, their monitor stand has impressed me and I am very happy with their quality.
I could see angling the front down a bit with my Asetek Forte pedals. They are straight up instead of slanted like the pedals in your review. I have them on my GT Omega Apex and with an office chair the pedals were too vertical to use comfortably. I 3d printed some raisers to tilt my wheel stand back and improve the ergonomics of my wheel stand.
Was waiting for you to review it, i trust your knowledge around sim. Probably going to pull the trigger in the upcoming BF using your affiliate code. Cheers.
You wouldnt even need an Allan Key for the F1 Pedal trey to change down to GT. GT Omega gives you those ratchet/handle Bolts which you can perfectly use for this spot
In under the impression most GT drivers prefer F1 pedal arrangement on their sims. I have the next level racing F-gt rig. and i sit in GT position seat, but have F1 pedal arrangement. It also makes it easy to just switch from GT to F1 to just lower the seat and reposition the height of the wheel bar.
I would say that switching isn't actually that quick on even with the quick adjustments, as the adjustment still needs to be made to the wheel so a good posture can be maintained. So to create a good posture between Formula and GT just takes less time, but still should be less temporary and more permanent due to the time required.
This cockpit is one that has caught my eye at first sight. I was more than willing to purchase it only to find out that in the US is not available. I do have the option to purchase this, but the shipping cost will cost a little more than I would like. So my question to you is, how do you compare this to a $800-$900 rig? for this in particular rig will cost me about 850 because I live in the US. question number two, although I am highly interested in this in particular rig the GT omega hybrid do you have another suggestion within that price range? Just for a little bit more information. I currently in using the Logitech trophy plate seat accompanied by the fanatec DD extreme with though CSL elite V2 pebbles. Thanks in advance.
For that money there are other cockpits for sure (larger profile options, NLR, SIM Labs, etc) but if you need the ability to change driving positions quickly then this is still the one I have found to be the best. US Stock always seems to sell out very very quickly but they do restock.
I wonder if it's like other GT pedal mounts in the sense they don't support Asetek pedal mounting patterns? I like the look of the hybrid pedal tray purely to try and better match the seat angle and it's relationship to the pedals for my favourite cars.
Karl, could you use the adjustable levers at the front instead of the allen key nuts, assuming the thread is the same, no tool needed then, just adjust front height by loosening the levers. Just a thought of course, don't know if it would work. Nice cockpit.

I’m new to profile rigs and plan on getting this one as I want the adjustability for different seating positions.
