I really do think that there is no such thing as a useless tool on a victorinox, just not enough creativity to see a use for a solution using that tool. I am frequently amazed at people like nikos doulas 'nikgiver' and felix immler who are able to show the many uses of the frequently underated hook and fishscaling tool.
I recently got the Cybertool L and I love this thing! I wanted the Cyber tool lite for the magnifying glass and light but it was discontinued, and now the prices are absurdly high for that one. As an electronics technician the bit driver is a must for me, I miss the magnifying glass but i plan to buy the swiss card later. Here in latin America is the same, the cyber tool L is more expensive and hard to find than the top seller swisschamp. In my opinion, the Cyber tool L is the perfect urban/outdoors SAK.
Great video! I am the exact opposite. I chose the Cyber Tool L over the Swiss Champ because I use the screwdriver and all the different bits quite frequently while working on electronics. I don't need the magnifying glass from the Swiss Champ because my cell phone has a magnifying function and I carry a Fresnel magnifying lens in my wallet.
We all have our favourites! I like the end on Phillips, i think most of us do ? So like most i started with a few basic tools , huntsman, and a camper , then got the farmer but always wanted the end on Phillips, so eventually got the Swiss Champ . Great i thought ,only it was just a bit to bulky, so got the explorer, more size friendly? Only sacrificed the pliers, what to do ? I switched around from this SAK to that SAK ,just couldn't settle on which one . I liked the end Phillips and i liked the small pliers but wasn't to keen on the bulk of the Swiss Champ ? Thinking about the small 3mm screwdriver on the can opener, thhought it was a pity the can opener was even there, pity it wasn't just a regular 3mm screwdriver it would be more useful ? Then discovering some people say it works as a Phillips? So i set about a mod . Taking a dremel to the can opener, and a wee bit of reshaping i got myself a 2.5mm flathead screwdriver end on and at the same time a flat Phillips that works Great! Bonus the thing works even better as a can opner ! Works so good i modded all my SAK (and i got a lot )apart from my Swiss Champ. Even did the mod on the explorer, and i can honestly say the modded can opener on the explorer is every bit as good as the proper Phillips. The moral of my story is i stopped looking for the perfect SAK i just have a leatherman squirt on my keys for a mini pliers, and my day to day SAK is the supper small Recruit at 84mm with just 2 small blades a 6mm flat and a modified can opener that works as a improved can opener, a Great Phillips and a Great 2.5mm flat with good access. My journey has taken me full circle from most basic to Swiss Champ and back to most basic (with a easy mod that anyone can do ). Still like my Explorer and Swiss Champ but Recruit and a squirt on my keys is al I need . Sorry for rambling, i have a video on my channel ' victorinox explorer, huntsman, farmer, climber screwdriver and can opener mod ' , if you are intrested ? I enjoyed your video and your thoughts . Cheers and greetings from Scotland.
Great video thanks. I carry the Handyman and the mini champ that has the red light and pen. But at times I will switch out the Handyman for my 1 inch thick cyber too and my 1 inch thick Swiss Champion. Both are easy to use as they are not to thick and between the 3 I have just about every tool you could think of.
If Swisschamp didn’t have that useless fish scaler I would buy it. So I use Handyman that isn’t absurdly thick. Cybertool is another story if someone needs screwdrivers all the time.
I know it looks a big chunkier, but I don't feel much difference in my pocket between the Swiss champ and my old Wenger that was basically a field master. I also don't fish and thought the fishing tool would be useless, but I use it all the time for quick measurements or poking at stuff.
Very useful review. You’re spot on about how the differences seem small, but they are a big deal. That’s precisely why I sold my cyber tool and bought a Swisschamp. The only thing I won’t use all the time in the Swiss champ is the fish scale
@@jantoniocarlos interesting, this is why Victorinox keeps fascinating me. People have so different needs and creative ways to use their knives. I couldn't even think up a use for such a small ruler..
Just buy a 1/4" (6mm) square to hex adapter for $5 on Amazon, then put it on the phillips or flathead bottle opener on your SwissChamp, and you've got a multi bit driver.
The tool names aren't what the uses are limited to. You can fish olives out of the bottom of a jar with the fish scaler. Or stir a cup of coffee. I've heard of people using them to access thermostat switches. The possibilities are almost limitless.
Thanks for sharing this information with us i love the Swiss champ used it for many years now day's the one I've got with me every day is the victorinox fieldmaster it's a outstanding allrander EDC because it's got the tools i need and the Swiss champ has everything you need everyone has a different need thanks very much for sharing the details of each tool thanks again pal 👍
The good thing about Victoria Knox knives is everybody can find the perfect knife for their needs and if there needs change they can find another perfect Victoria Knox knife. How many other products can say that?

Except it isn't attached to the tool. Most people won't ever use the saw, file or fish scaler so the cybertool is much better since it gives you something you'll actually use and it's all attached.
в данный момент стою перед выбором- Champ vs Cyber tool L. все больше и больше склоняюсь в пользу Cyber. дороговато только в росии ~110$. Спасибо за обзор.
Fantastic video ! I too have the Swiss Champ. I also purchased the Cybertool Lite to complement the Swiss Champ without duplicating too many of the tools. It features the light which can assist in darker areas when repairing really tight access areas. 👍
Long sentence short: If you would like to get a knife that is more of outdoor using such as camping and fishing, get a Swiss Champ If you would like to get a knife that is more of indoor using such as fixing furniture, get a Cyber tool L
@@neshiah4747just ordered one today.. lost my Ranger It was discounted to be cheaper than the Ranger TBH I think the Ranger is the best allround It has all the big tools with 0 fluff I will probably order a new Ranger too 😂
Thank you for pointing out the differences. Very good review.

I think if you use a Swiss army knife on a daily basis it's easier to find uses for all the tools

I want to go with the swiss champ because its less parts to fall out and loose, but i get your point

It is not useless, and it's so thin if you don't use it

Yes I'm100% with you on this one I've actually just got a brand new victorinox Swiss champ and the victorinox Swiss case for it as well👌

Or get a leatherman ratchet and put it behind your pliers and you have yourself 1/4 screwdrivers.
In Europe, Cybertool L is only 10€ more expensive than Swiss Champ. 90 vs 80€.
Super vidéo 2 couteaux super, merci

I recently picked up the Swiss champ XLT, And I really like it. It gives me all the tools I need the only thing missing is a light.
The bit heads cost much more to produce.
Your phone might have a macro mode with the camera that you might find better or comparable to the magnifying glass.
Is that a custom pouch? Where did you buy it?
Cyber tool is good for electronics.
The price difference is because the production cost of the bit tool is high.
I love my Swiss champ. Just a great tool.
About 8 months ago I started carrying the Swiss champ XLT
Really like carrying it but the Swiss champ or the Swiss champ XLTE make an excellent tool.
Craig the Swiss champ 🏆how can anyone not like it's a fantastic little poickit tool it's a work of art all Swiss army knives are 👍
Take out the 3 extra tools the Swisschamp has and you get the Craftsman.
I dream of the day they combine the two just drop the philips and flat and large blade.
They have the swiss champ x t l
Eu sou fã da marca victorinox 🇧🇷
Meu favorito é o modelo huntsaman
I never understood people who think the champ is too heavy or bulky. If I am on the road
