GO BIG OR GO HOME! New QUICKSILVER GT LM Exhaust for the Ford GT Shmeemobile

- My Ford GT is even better than ever thanks to a visit to QuickSilver to install the very latest GT LM style exhaust! Not only do we have a huge step up from the stock sound, but an exhaust that matches the looks of the American supercar. What an epic upgrade to my favourite Shmeemobile!
Last year, we installed a QuickSilver Special Projects exhaust system that was developed using my very car, made from inconel and weighing only 5.4kg. Since then, QuickSilver's demand for Ford GT exhausts has increased dramatically so as a result, the team have gone even further and created a "V2" offering with 3D printed inconel exhaust tips with a GT LM style design. The new system maintains the weight reduction despite additional heat shielding - which also carries an OEM look under the car - while helping to reduce temperatures.
Ford produced a limited edition of the GT, named the GT LM, to pay tribute to the Le Mans racing history and success, but for European cars they were delivered with standard exhausts and not the special offerings available in the United States and other regions. Naturally, demand from customers arrived to create something of that nature, and with so many amazing links and connections of my own car to the heritage and past, it's a no brainer to upgrade to the latest offering.
The Shmeemobiles are all about their memories, and the Ford GT is absolutely top of the list. After visiting the US for a massive tour back in 2019, we fast forward 5 years later, and it's time to head over again! First up will be a tour to Texas and joining the GT1 Sports Club for an outing at Circuit of the Americas before plenty more fun ahead.

Tim is by far one of the absolute best car owners in regards to how much detail he puts into maintenance and appearances of his vehicles! You could always be confident in purchasing a vehicle from Shmee150 simply due to his meticulous nature when it comes to any of his cars

Haha, nice to see you in my childhood stomping ground Tim, you drove past my old nursery school, my best mates secondary school, and two of my old childhood homes in a very short stretch of road! I live about three miles down the road from where you joined the A3 on your way home. It’s epic to think my old stomping ground has had the gt do a fly by - of course, towers given clearance!

I was not a fan of the Ford GT when it first came out, but I have warmed up to it over time and seeing you with yours has actually made it one of my favorite super cars.

CTEK plugs are super easy to install! No need to mess around with the clamps after that ⚡ And yes, Great stuff & sound 👍
Never sell the GT it’s my favorite! I have a high hp 3.5 myself that’s built, and a explorer ST, they don’t sound the best but god dang do they pull hard 🙌🏽

Nice exhaust. Mustve been a pretty penny. I like how Tim talked through the air cooling features of the car that have no effect when he is driving at 60mph. He would have to go flat out for them to make any difference!

It’s sad to not see this car race in WEC anymore. A lot of people may disagree but the Ford LMGTE Pro was unique and had a soothing sound to it.
