I visited the collection at Dagenham several times, but it was asked and everything was pushed into every corner, so looking at the cars was a real problem, so nice to see the collection having a proper home. The only downside was that we used to borrow cars for events and trackdays at Dunton. We just phoned them up and negotiated what we wanted. One year we had an Escort Mk1 and an RS200, quite a contrast to what we were making at the time.

Loving the TG UA-cam content lately. Great job lads. That place needs a Ken Block car. That guy did so much good to the Ford brand in the last decade. RIP43
Thanks, Tom and Top Gear! I've become much more of a Ford fan as I've grown older. As a U.S. native, many of these are familiar to me largely from British car TV (I'm sure you can imagine at least one show).
As an American i find it a struggle to fall in love with any of the big 3. You got the C8 and that new crazy fast mustang and Dodge makes shit cars. Not trying to argue but ,may i ask how?
Wow! Looks amazing, so glad they've got everything displayed properly now, a lot of new additions since i saw the collection in its old home back in 2015.
Very cool. I've always loved all (well most) of the UK and European fords. Those cosworth sierras and escorts are amazing. Hillarious to see the escort because in the US that was just a cheap commuter car. Wish we got the cosworth stuff here.
11:16 is that the last Fezzy next to the Mk1 Escort with a load of Signatures? I've had a Mk4 Ford Escort Eclipse driven 2 Transits, a Transit Connect for work and now own a Mk6 Fiesta Zetec (S Rep) now. Got to love a blue oval. ♥ Wonder if they can grab those Fords that are stored in that old dealership in Germany. Would be cool to have them along with their siblings in that Centre.
Iv had afew fords and had a fiesta featured in Performance Ford July 2001 . Absolutely love the Escort Rs Cosworth- such an iconic car . I’d love one …..one day
Supervan 2 and 3 are the same vehicle. It's a ford c100 chassis underneath originally with a Cosworth DFL then a Cosworth HB when it was updated to supervan 3. Now it runs that rather naff V6.
It'll never be the same as the old place, had a proper old school feel to it, my mates dad worked there and I was lucky enough to go down there a few times and have a wander round freely
Growing up in a Ford family, all the vehicles we’ve owned (besides me I’m the black sheep) have been Fords. I still own a Ford truck but I work for Toyota so I also own a Corolla. But, I’ll always be a Ford fanboy. 🤙🏼 I love this collection.
What part of the Sierra was used on an RS200 ? There was a non Ford built supervan , with a Jaguar XJ220 engine powering it. It once ran up the FOS Power Hill, driven Jude Law. A friend of my brother once flipped one of the Mk1 Escort 1300E freshly restored car into a field, landed it on its wheels. He lost it going round the country roads in Earlswood , lost it in a corner flipped it over the tall hedges and landed back on the wheels. Got a rather fed up farmer to tow his car out of the field. Yes, it was the English that discovered the 'fatal ' flaw in the Explorers accelerator pedal and wheels.😊
This brought up a fantastic memory from the last year when I acted in a play called 'Made In Dagenham' based on then-Ford production, the political issue of gender pay disparity during those times & a plot of launching Cortina (the then-new car) in the British market. An interesting fusion of being a theatre person & an automotive enthusiast!!
Which of these Fords would you take home?
Mustang has it's legacy but I'll take the GT !!
All of them 😅
Gt beautiful car
Cossie hands down
The RS200

Loving these tours and all of the interesting content that is coming out of UA-cam TG. Great stuff and hats off.
Ok Top Gear office boy, stick to making the tea, we can do without the obvious fanboying of your bosses!!

I am really digging these car collection videos.
Press like if you have owned or own a ford❤
It's so nice of Tom to show us his collection. 😁😁✌✌
Funny how 'Tom Ford' is also a brand of it's own...😅
😂

Does anyone remember the Ford Racing games on PS2?
The first one was on PS1, and I still like it a lot.
@@farishanafiah8461 I only ever had them on Ps2, i might have to look out for a PS1 copy.
When I got my PS2 from Blockbuster as a kid, Ford Racing 2 was the first game I picked out that same night to go with it.
@@nathanstroud2223 I remember them being pretty good. I think i might still have them.

I thought the last fiesta from cologne was grey with all the signatures? Maybe a couple different ones were sent out?
@patrickmonkman8151 could be the last UK spec one, aka right-hand drive?
Interesting, I still miss the OG GT
Who doesn’t?
I took me a while to remember that it was on Gran Turismo 2.
I miss the OG TG
@@86davy If you are talking about OG TG, you're talking about the likes of Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, and Quentin Willson. CHM isn't it.

My heart melts everytime there is a cossie popping up. It’s not fair
One of the very best videos made by Top Gear. A truly fascinating place.
The ford RS200 needs to come back, it is a thing of beauty

You know where in Dagenham is this at
This is absolutely phenomenal cause one day when the internal combustion engine is history. This is going to be an incredible link to Ford’s past.
Ford fiesta pop plus with pepper pots! 957cc!! And headrests. That was a first car.
been to heritage centre twice when they were at dagenham.ford heaven
Always watching from Georgetown Guyana south America 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Lovely video!
Some rare Ford's I've never known about before, but they sure look marvelous and have aged gracefully! Wonderful heritage collection :)
Where the mk one supervan transit ? That was fun 😁
I'd have 3 litre Capri. Mk one Granada 🎉
Love those fast ford vans 👌
I asked, and you answered. Thanks for another awesome warehouse walk around. ❤
2019 usa fiesta st owner as of recently! Love it
This is an awesome mini series!
Great cars in a nice collection, thanks for showing them❤
Ford is the under pinning of British motoring.... beautiful collection 😎🙏👊👍✌
I got to ride in a Sierra Cosworth 4x4, we got to 125mph, it was amazing 😊
Man what a collection. Great video. Hopefully one day, i can check it out
Top tier content. Great interview with Len too.
Walked straight past the racing puma….. 😮… guy is cluesss
I really like the content Top Gear UA-cam is putting out! Keep it up Top Gear UA-cam!

windscreen and rear lights were Sierra and the doors may have been modified Sierra,
Please visit Mercedes/BMW/Audi next. Loving these videos!
i love how humankind's evolution of technology can bee seen in the evolution of these cars, both in tech and in looks!
That Yellow Escort RS Cosworth, I'm taking.
What an awesome video Tom, Ford really knows its stuff and their history is just amazing so many iconic cars for me is the Ford Escort Mk.1 Mexico :)
The only car that I didn’t see because it’s insanely rare is the Ford GT90 which can go 253mph apparently…
ford P68🤔
@@stelamo no it’s was called the GT90 because it was built during the 90s very rare and very futuristic.

It is only one of it, and Ford sold it to a private collector in Arizona(?) because of the economic recess of 07-08.

What an amazing place! Would love to see more in the future :)
I was thinking of a totally different Jordan. A silicone enhanced one.
Probably the best thing in Daventey now.
Thanks
4:11 the sports van reminds me of Blur game 🎮
RS200 not the original police car. That was C829 FHK.
And wasn't left hand drive either.
Where is Ford P100? I'm dissapointed ;). Great collection!
I hope they've got a Sierra 2.9 XR4x4 in there 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
And hopefully a Cortina Mk5 Crusader 1.6 like my dad used to have 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Xr4i was more fun to drive.

I doubt that too many people watching this need to imagine what the cosworth looked like in the 80s... we remember it!
Wow
restarting on a new platform excellent idea
Shout out from south Africa
Wonder whether you could buy tickets for this place? They'd make a fortune!
200 were needed for homologation of the RS200 and 20 of them were Evo versions.
I’m sure the red top Cossie is 204bhp the 4x4’s including escort was 224
Big yes 🙌🙌
Imagine adding an aftermarket android auto head unit to that model T
It Tom he’s back
Dream day out as long as there's a pub nearby on the way out
The Capri is begging for a modern day re make
Amei essa relíquia incrível ❤❤
No doubt the Lotus Cortina is my choice and then convert the car to lhd😊
Good series this "collection series".
Did I just see the Supervan 3 tacho showing an 11,700 redline!? 🤯🤯
It ran an F1 engine in the past.
I need more British people documenting automobile history pls
I think I may have spotted a Colin Mcrea Ford Focus in one of the shots. I’d love to see a video about that if you had a chance :)
Could the cars not stay in Dagenham Essex as that’s where most were built
any Ford Probe gts?
You walked past the Racing Puma twice but didn't mention it. Unforgivable.
Superb👍
Huh, i did not know the gt40 had the overhead down extensions like the 2005/6 gt
Cool!

Double deck spoiler? Thats not a rs 500.
This store room looks the exact same as the Porsche room, with different cars
oh...it is aneastern version of a saab.
Thanks narrator dude
I miss my Capri.
2:30. Not quite the actual police car. It was done up recently to look like it
The 3rd Cossie hasn't really gone up in value since new. £15.5K in 86 is £60K now which is about what a standard one goes for.
i Noticed they are missing Jurrasic park ford explorer :D
Wooo❤
Strange how ford dont have the mk5 zetec s in the collection 🤔 have a bog standard mk4 then a st150 but no mk5
And look at Ford now.
I think I saw the roof of a Ford Corsair, why not show that one?
Really good looking Ford but not often shown....
the model t was well known for throwing ppl trow the windowscreen in a crash or impailing you if you didnt make it all the way out
The BBC said that they had shelved top gear until further notice!

What about the 1988 Ford cargo electric
My gt has the full carbonium body panels n weigh just 900kgs....

The amount of wookie of this channel lately... highly approve!!

That's because I'd imagine most viewers are American
65plate mk7 transit? Didn’t they stop making them in 2014?
No way he was that small in that lotus 😂
Ford Cortina XR 6 Interceptor.
