Are you wondering why you need extra replacement Instant Pot parts? I company sent me their Instant Pot replacement parts to check out, and I learned a lot more about how the Instant Pot worked that I didn't realize before.
In this video I discuss what I have learned about the Instant Pot Float Valve, the Instant Pot Gaskets and the Instant Pot Steam Release Valve. I also do an unboxing of the Instant Pot parts that I received in the mail so that we can take a look at the quality of the parts.

you did not cover replacing the vent valve. thats what I needed to know.
The gasket is called the sealing ring. That metal pin is the float valve and it has a silicone (not rubber), cap on the end. And yes the float valve locks the lid when the pressure is built up, it shows you that there is pressure when it's up. And you don't have to remember which way to turn the steam release valve because it's printed on the lit, "Sealing" and "Venting". But it does kind of suck that we can't just replace the silicone seal in that knob, instead of having to replace the whole thing as it's such a waste. And yes, those parts you have are not OEM and are third party parts.

today i was trying to put the lid on my instant pot, and i could not get the lid to rotate around and close. i thought maybe the area on the outside edge might have some dirt sticking up. It was kind of interesting when i found the rectangular plastic piece on the pot that has six or eight holes that have a filter looking finish on the top had broken around the edge and wouldn't let me rotate the lid to close it. I sat the top of the plastic part on top of where it belonged and gently rotated the lid to close it. I am cooking now it worked great. I don't know if i want to super glue this thing back together.

About the Sealing Ring, use one for Savoy and another for sweet.. I find that even though I wash the ring, it still sorta smells like what its usually made.. No one wants a pulled pork flavored cheesecake... ok maybe that might work.. hmmmmm...
You can buy multiple pots. One for pork, one for beef and one for rice and so on 😂
