I think the fact that you organize your experiences, thoughts, and goals in specific journals is actually part of why you are moving forward to graduate school. It shows an arc of will and specificity of life as it’s lived which has brought you where you want to go, if that makes sense😊
honestly yes this makes a lot of sense.. I just realized I forgot to talk about my planning journal but that one its full with every step that needs to be taken in order for me to successfully get abroad to study. and before that there were pages dedicated to planning my application
Now that I have my journal foundation I won't be buying any more unless it's to replace one that's fully filled out. This is the first time I have a system that actually works for me and prevents unnecessary journal buying haha. But I agree with you
Fellow notebook addict. I have one for dreams, financial goals, daily observations, random ideas etc There is always a reason for another journal. The Klimt Journal is beautiful.
Been reading a lot of philosophy so my journal is chock full of words I don't understand....found it useful to set aside time to deep dive on these words so I can really get a better understanding of their usage and context. I enjoyed the video thanks Valentina.

It happened so organically tbh.. once I started intuitively filling them out instead of being worried about rigid self-imposed rules, they actually became helpful!!

this was so me (hence the note I wrote myself in the first journal about letting go of the shame of writing). Thought are not neat, I recommend getting into the habit just jotting them down. That's kind of how I naturally developed a few different journals with different purposes

As a STL native (who went to Wash U not SLU), I imagine it would've been difficult to go to SLU if you didn't go to HS in STL. It's a very insular school in that regard. "Where'd you go to HS?" is probably the second question asked there. Although I am older than you, so I might be talking out of my ass about nowadays. (Wash U thankfully is not so insular given that students come from around the country.)
Wash U was the only school to reject me and the only school I really wanted to go to! I think I probably would have stayed in STL had I attended Wash U rather than SLU but that's just how it goes. I became very acquainted with the STL suburbs after those two years that's for damn sure haha. Thankfully I loved UIUC. It's so cool you lived my dream though
Funny thing, I was desperate to leave STL after HS, and I only went to Wash U because it was the best school I got into. But I ended up loving it. U of I definitely has benefits over WashU, and I'm glad you ended up loving it there!@@bookpogo

My “journal ecosystem” is scraps of paper with scribbles on them strewn across my general area.
I do this too and then I shove them into journals
