Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today, we have a Honda CR-V that took off-roading a little too seriously. The SUV "flew" off the road about 90 feet, so I was told, nose dived, then performed and end-over-end roll (flip) before landing on its side in a ditch. I had to perform a single lane recovery, which makes the job more difficult, but not impossible. Even though the vehicle was considered a total loss, it did its job and protected the driver. The driver was reported to have only minor injuries, which is quite amazing after looking at the car and the crash path. I use our Peterbilt 337 with a Miller Industries, Century LCG12 rollback (tilt tray) to perform a few tricks to recover and tow this vehicle, even though my plan A didn't work. My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10," applies here. I could have approached this job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result safely.
I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

Craigslist/FB Marketplace ad: "Low mileage CRV.. gently driven by older person. Needs some very minor TLC, but it runs and drives perfect. Clean title. $25,000. No lowballers. I know what I got" lol. Great job on the recovery Ron.
“It’s all there”
"Clean title. Radio works great."
"Accident report not available; please don't ask for one".
*That sure was one heck of a crash an roll. Glad to hear that they are ok. That also shows how much things that are loose in a vehicle can go flying a distance from the crash site. Secure all things down... that also includes kids and pets.*
Yep having worked on coroners team for years and seen The huge waste of life from people not wearing seatbelts.
I knew a bloke years ago (before I even had a car driving licence - I was an all-year motorcyclist for years before taking my car test) who was just missed by the car battery he was carrying in the boot (trunk) of a saloon (sedan) car during a crash. It exited the vehicle through the windscreen (windshield) dead centre (center) having passed within 30cm (a foot) of his head, after penetrating the sheet metal body of the passenger cell between the back seats and luggage area, all the springs, foam and fabric of the rear seat backrest, and flown between the front seats with enough energy left to punch right through the laminated glass of the windscreen.
Just an ordinary leisure deep-cycle sealed lead-acid battery, and not a particularly large one.
I've known a number of people in paramedic/ambulance/fire & rescue roles (many through being a volunteer marshal for road racing) who make the same point - anything not secured in a vehicle becomes a potentially lethal projectile in a crash, and doubly so in an SUV, hatchback or estate (station wagon), where there is no solid division between the passenger and luggage compartments
I wish more manufacturers would fit proper restraining points into the load areas of all vehicles so that ordinary cargo straps could be used.
I have a set of ratchet straps which will hold a motorcycle in place on a trailer or rough ferry crossing (recommended if you ever take a motorcycle over to the Isle of Man TT races), but if you tighten them properly in most passenger vehicles, they bend the internal bodywork unless it is reinforced in the same way seatbelt anchorages are.
Strap everything down as well as your vehicle allows.
@@phillee2814 hello, many years ago, I am a mile from home, car in front dropped its drive shaft, so I HAD TO STOP, that was a 78 GRANADA, behind. me is a BIG FORD WAGGON, CHILD IN BACK SEAT,NOT BUCKLED UP that hit me following too close, that CHILD WOUND UP ON HIS DASHBOARD IN the blink of an eye, I only had a slight dimple on my rear bumper, I felt sorry for that child, he was OK, but his dad I thought was having a heart attack! From FRIGHT. ! I helped push the driveshaft car out of traffic 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The worst injury I ever sustained from a crash was about 40 years ago when I crashed my Mk1 Mini van. The trolley jack I had loose in the back flew through and partially tore off my left ear. 26 stitches to put it back in place.
Yes, I was young, stupid and drunk at the time.
Don't drink and drive people and don't have unsecured objects in the passenger spaces.
@@phillee2814 My teenage neighbor was a passenger in an old four door sedan in the '80s. The type with the ledge between the back seat and the back window. A lightweight regular rectangle Kleenex box was resting on that ledge. The car was in a wreck, causing a sudden stop. The box flew forward. There was enough force to drive the corner of the box into the neck of the front passenger. As far as I know, their friend is still paralyzed. This was decades ago; but I have been hyper vigilant about loose objects ever since.
Sometimes it's strange what effect videos can have. Since watching your channel, I've gotten 10x better at keeping my vehicles cleaned out. Glad driver is ok; she took a heckuva ride! Thx, Ron!
Cleaning up the mess takes longer than recovering the wreck. Thank you for your diligence
I know erosion can be bad on some farmland, but that CRV took it to a hole new level.
Good thing the driver was not seriously hurt, and maybe got a reminder oh keeping focus on the right things at the right time.
Very glad to hear driver-passengers were able to walk away, people don't realize the velocity of an air born vehicle. debris field. Another great recovery
Thanks Ron
Ron, this is great! Two videos weekly. Thanks for all you do. Many blessings my friend.
Yeah, we are being spoiled!
Seeing the condition of the car, I can't help but imagine how different this would have been without all of the safety features. Nice job on the recovery, you made it look easy!
I believe the LORD had HIS DIVINE HAND of PROTECTION over these people. No amount of safety equipment can do what GOD can.

Hi Ron and family I’m a new subscriber from Adelaide Australia I’ve been a tow truck operator for 26 years with experience in tilt tray which you call it roll back and dispatch manger love watching your videos as I’m in remission from blood cancer so thankyou for making my day brighter god bless you and your family x
May God bless you my friend!
Hang in there mate 🍻
Thankyou ❤️
May I ask do you work at dial a tow?
Fyi I'm also a adelaidean
I enjoy watching your video's. Retired truck driver, 45 years. We have both seen a lot out there. Take care and God bless you and your crew for what they do.
Thanks for cleaning up. The tow operators in my area leave everything. There are even complete bumper skins left at the scene.
If I remember correctly, YES, the clean up is in the tow operators job description. But, as in all lines of work, there are some lazy out there, PLUS it can also depends on what on scene law enforcement says or lets them get away with.....
I hate when I see all the garbage people have in their cars, apparently they don't have access to garbage cans. She toasted this car. Good job Ron, at least it wasn't in the ditch with the water.
Will the insursnce company ask the driver to come past to get their personal effects, such as chocolate wrappers, etc?
I enjoy your "towing Tuesdays".... breaks up the long wait between Fridays. I hope you see sunny days soon.Watching you pick up things that belong to a child kinda shook me; Made me realize you guys may experience "operator grief". Be careful and be safe.
At 12:40 when you closed the door and the mirror came loose, but you didn't care because the car is totaled anyway was real funny.
That was impressive that you got it to land so close to the bed of the truck without it hitting. Years of experience at work. Please stay safe and God bless.
Good Morning My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff Today
🥉🏆
Great work as always Ron, what sets you apart in my eyes is you never film when there are possible injuries. That’s very respectful.. car maybe a right off. But hey the radio still works
thanks for bringing us along, you make it look very easy, the attention to detail in cleaning up protects the owner of the car
I call that roll a tootsie roll cause it was sweet 🤣🤣 lucky driver by the way good job ron!! Howdy from texas👍👍
Good morning Ron and Crew!! Happy to share a cup of coffee with y’all. It is always a blessing to see a vehicle do what it is designed to do, protect the folks in the vehicle. God bless and keep y’all safe.
Was passing through the other day and got to see Ron and the Rotator doing work. Looked like a simple tow but great to see a familiar face. Stopped for a picture and got a wave from the man himself. Stay safe out there!
Nice Tuesday extra edition - Thanks.
Those crvs are awesome! I was hit by a driver totally crushed my front end in and I had minor injuries
Adam Corolla calls it the car you buy when you don't want to buy a car but have to buy a car.
Interesting how the car keeps talking. Prayers for the family. Thank you Ron. God Bless
Yes wondered what it was saying! 🤣😂
@@serdneb It's Honda Link Assist. This feature is set up when your phone is connected to the car using Bluetooth. If the airbags and seatbelts deploy the car will contact Emergency Services. I have a 2016 Honda CR-V EX-L and I have this feature on. It makes me feel so much safer to know that if I'm knocked out the car will contact Emergency Services for me.
That Honda was pretty well used up, but it did protect the occupants with minimal injuries. Good to see a second video in a week from you again.
Love your videos, Ron always does it the correct way and does it with an emphasis on all safety practices.
The best towing guy on the internet! Thank you Ron.
I love your ring tone. It make me smile every time.
Ron excellent job especially on the clean up as a auto collision specialist I also know the Honda CRV will not go into Park after both air bags in dash are delayed there are 6 in tale that should deploy if all seat belts are in place properly. I was very impressed with your clean up as that is truly the most important as far as recover clean up. The safety of its passengers is no#1 for importance of vehicle and as you said loose debree as cell phones, tablets can kill infants as well as lunch box or thermos when projected at 75 mph cause as you know when that vehicle comes to impact stop everything in side keeps on moving. Great job! God bless all of you guys and keep you safe working on the side of interstates. Very dangerous it can be..
Morning Mr Ron love the roll over video. I'm off today just getting started. Prayers and well wishes for all involved and prayers for your family and employees. Have a bless day and be safe
Woooow...Ron amazing rescue..well done👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Glad the driver is okay. As you said, the vehicle did it's job. You are spoiling us with these Tuesday videos. Thank you!
Ron, you are the roll-back master! Nice work sir.
It's so good to see you clean up the debris and toss it in the vehicle. It really shows how you go above and beyond! There is another towing and recovery channel here on UA-cam where he doesn't even pick up the big pieces. I'm like, "Dude! All you have to do is throw that in the window!" But sadly, he doesn't. Thanks for doing what you do!
You have to on a police call
Thank God it wasn't worse. Prayers for fast healing to the driver.
Like always Ron, great job on the retrieval and just as impressive was your cleanup job of the site!!
Quick and nice job! Always a pleasure watching you and your crew from over here. Take care.
great job Ron. God bless the driver wasn't hurt bad
Ron, great job on this one. Recently myself I became a tow truck operator.. Mainly all because of watching you, they're like do you know how to use snatch blocks, Im like yeah, and all my snatch block knowledge is from watching you, Stay safe out there, igy6
Ever notice that Ron always gets a call on his cell right when he’s in the middle of doing something.. Happens in just about every video..
Probably took him longer to pick up the debris, then it did getting the vehicle on the back of the truck.
Still sending prayers to keep you, and your crew safe out there. Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless..
Good morning Ron always glad to recieve another video. Always enjoy watching you recover another vehical. Always say a prayer for you and family also your crew. Always say a prayer for the people.
Good Recovery 👍
Them CRV seems like good vehicles. No major injuries from that crash. Wow.
Good morning Ron. Thank you for changing the intro! I usually start your videos after rolling out of bed at 5am and that siren is really harsh, especially at that time
Another unexpected bonus thanks Ron
Hope you had fun on vacation Ron welcome back
Cool a rare Tuesday video
i'm glad the whole song is back for the intro... it was so disruptive trying to hum along when it suddenly became a siren 😂
Another great recovery !! Always on top of your jobs ! Take care and GOD bless!!
Whoo hoo another Ron Pratt video, I was thinking about it last night as I was getting ready for bed lol, not that I wanted someone to be hurt but to have a good video for the morning to watch, prayers for all involved, including Ron Pratt, the clean up took longer than the actual recovery, I wish the tow operators around here would take the time like Mr Ron does to clean up an accident scene
Slow down
Move over
God bless
Be safe
And watch out for motorcyclists, little kids, critters, and little old ladies going to Bingo
Keep up the good work sir! Love seeing these videos pop up now and then :) Stay safe!
Ron as usual you do a terrific job. I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks a million!👍👍👍❤️
Another job well done, God Bless.
Hi Ron hope you and the family are doing ok , keep up youre videos love watching you work with the crew
That had to be a wild ride ! Prayers……
A job well done as always!
Great recovery, thanks for sharing
As always speedily recovered with efficiency and safety in mind. Keep up the great work.
David in the U.K.
Precise handling Ron.
Thanks for sharing
Midweek post, short and sweet! I love it!
Good Morning, Nice job and thank you for the mid week vlog. All way enjoy them. just made my morning.
Another great recovery Ron!
Very good job !
Respect ! 👍
It's all above the angles. Great job Ron.
I am glad to see you taking it easy on the car you didn't want to scratch it more then it was
Great clean up. And recovery. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🤗
Yes When I was dispatching every once in awhile a trouper would call me to have my driver come back because they missed something. That was a awesome job been 17 years since that job but still remember. Always love watching what happens on the drivers end of it.
Another great job done Ron
The new cars do keep people safer than the ones I grew up with, example, 1950s 1970s.
A mid/early in the week video! Hot dog! Thanks Ron. Stay safe out there.
Great video Ron glad no serious injuries stay safe.
So glad you went back to the other intro. I really like that music. Stay safe out there!! Prayers for all involved.
thank you so much for the video sorry I'm late thank you so much for posting two times a week a video please keep going God bless can't wait to see the next video Friday
A bonus Ron Pratt video. Thank you Sir.
Good Afternoon Ron, another job done ✅ short and sweet, a lot of mess on that car, thankfully the driver wasn't badly injured, but the car can be replaced. . Looking forward to the next video 🤓👍 Blessings to Ron Pratt and Family / co workers and everyone else, from a cloudy and dry day here in S Wales 🏴 UK 🇬🇧 🤓👍🙏
prayers for the person in the car that they heal fast, another great video ron
I love watching your videos. They're interesting.
Awesome , Thanks Ron
Glad the car is the one in critical condition instead of the passengers in the vehicle. The car did what it was intended to do, protect the souls on board. You, your family and crew are in my prayers nightly. God bless you all and stay safe out there. Much love from Virginia. I learn something new each video I watch and thanks.
Good morning Ron another great video as always and I hope there were no injuries
Great video. Thsanks and God bless.
Good to hear driver only had minor injuries. Very lucky I'd say. Great job Ron!! God bless
Glad to see you picking up all the stuff... I've noticed that they don't do that anymore where I live. Not only do you see parts of a vehicle, bumper covers with license plates still attached, but personal property too, such as clothes, etc.
That little car sure looked sad. I'm glad the driver was not seriously injured. BTW, thanks for adjusting the volume on the music in your intro a bit. It is much easier to listen to now.
I watch every video that comes out and yet I still try to tell you how to do your job but you never listen lol👍keep up the good work
Love your truck!!
I loved the slow-mo review. Really nice touch.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching and dropping a positive comment. God bless.
Ron glad to hear that the driver only sustained minor injuries. It is great to have any early week video.
Thanks for turning off the siren at the beginning of recent videos. I could not get to my volume control fast enough. Great job.
Did the farmer call wanting part of his field back?? Thankful for the good engineers at Honda designing a vehicle to keep the driver safe in that crash
Nice job as usual. Stay healthy, safe, and strong.
Ron Pratt does it again with dad!🙏❤️🇺🇸👼🏼😎🇺🇸
A recommendation for next time. Set blocks down for rolling it over to keep it from rolling away after flipping. Not trying to be rude at all and you do a great job. Its just something we're taught to do and its helped me in several situations. I've learned many things from your videos. Keep them coming!
It’s always funny to watch tow truck fails and they roll away after the flip!
He could have already checked to see if it was in park. There is no danger of the CRV flipping the truck either.
@@CurtParish ive had vehicles still roll in park. You never really know what damage the crash did to the transmission.
@@markalyea3976 You can always be sure that no matter what is broken, the car will roll. I have seen a car with sheered of rear wheel, and damaged front one, and it still rolled down the hill.
The doors still work! Back in 1966, I crashed my DKW into a ditch, everything went out of the car except me, I had improvised a seat-belt. Only damage was to 1/3 of the bumper, I drove it for eight years after that.
God bless u and family and driver
nice job ron . and keep save
I think it took you longer to pickup everything that came out of the car than it did to roll and load it 😂
Good Morning be safe and enjoy your day
Good Job Ron ! You're only problem is you make it look to easy.
Ron must do more videos like this
Another great job done by you Ron.glad the owner of the car will be okay
