Bro I literally cringed this is bad the whole thing… the only thing good and cool is the bed rotates lmao.. ones he got it rolled I would have grabbed it from the back idk what he’s doing man
He should’ve started with a snatch block on the opposite side of the bed. He would never had a move his truck. Just saying with 30 years experience it’s called work smarter, not harder lol😊
brave of you to post this and you're gonna get a lot of hate. but this is great to use as a training video and allows us to point out things we learned to be bad choices. I don't see any advantage in the bed and little advantage in the remote. invest in snatch blocks. a good driver, without any gadgets. could load this in under 12 minutes at idle. note : wrecker drivers with remotes, a guy had his around his neck and went to remove his safety chains, leaned against the remote and it triggered it. to lower crushing his skull.( could of been this guys foot) you see the bed drop... it has no delay. Be safe out there.
The rotator bed actually has numerous advantages, just as a rotator wrecker. I agree with you that the remote needs work, as it's "go/no go" and not proportional. That's all Lodar offers and I have had many conversations with them about designing a true proportional remote, but so far, nothing has been accomplished. This recovery posed a couple of obstacles that can't be seen from the camera angle. For example, I pulled in and tried to recover this truck while staying between the patrol cars. I'm not one to make them relocate their cars at all due to the risk of secondary accidents from shifting vehicles. This was done in real time and no editing. It is what it is. As with any video you can watch, there's always those who criticize you, but in all reality, they likely would do the same (if not worse) when facing the same situation. Snatchblocks can't be used the same on a rotator as with a regular rollback. Using snatchblocks with a load such as this will rotate the bed to center the load, just as a rotator wrecker boom will. Otherwise, it would break the turrent gear.
It's unbelievable what I see there. It was so easy to recover the car. Now it ends in a catastrophe. The man has absolutely no idea. It's terrible to see so much awkwardness.
Doing this work in the field is much harder than watching a video and trying to explain what they did wrong. BUT.. looking at it from my view the rollover was perfect. However I may have lined up on the back of the truck when it was nose in the ditch. Then bring it right up on my bed. I know this would have blocked both lanes but I think sometimes blocking 2 lanes for 5 minutes is better than only 1 lane for 20. At least in California highway patrol once the scene cleared yesterday. Again this is me Monday morning quarterbacking a video of a recovery that I was not boots-on-the-ground with. Meaning I didn't see everything he saw to make that decision. All-in-all well done
look at all the haters in the comment section especially the ones knowing that the car is not a total loss which ever way you do it, this guy is a legend, Good job
@@colbyhutzellfishingvideos4365 He skipped some steps, didn't use some tools... And basically he's using a control remote to skip everything (tools and steps) wasting minutes, maybe an hour of his life. Anyway or another he got the truck on the bed, in one piece. Maybe collective hate😆 or coz ppl with more experience, hate to see people with good and expensive equipment 🤷😁.
It must be this operators first day really needs lots of training and also needs to be introduced to a snatch block. Also dont know how to do a rollover.
16:50. Raise the bed so nothings dragging. Get in your truck, put it in gear, turn to the left for about 3 feet. Casualty will be straight. Drag it up, chain it down.

That’s a great job. Turn it bumper up and dragging that cable on that side rail when are use a snatch block. looks like a rookie to me a professional would’ve never have to move the truck 😂
If it were me I would’ve repositioned once I rolled it over and backed right up to it, hook the axle, and pull it on the bed. That’s just how I would’ve done it.
I still say you're cheating compared to the way it used to be not long ago. Hope nobody was hurt and looks like the guy was leaving home. Good job as usual and GBWYall!
You don’t know what a guy is going through, maybe he just started doing this, or maybe he didn’t! We all have bad days a no one person is perfect! I would not wish this stress on anyone! He just shouldn’t have videod it if it was gonna make him look bad! 😊
No, this causes no damage to the winch or any other components as the load never exceeded the capacity of the unit. These rotator rollbacks that we spec have a 12,000 pound winch with 7/16" super swaged cable. Jobs like this are not going to exceed the limitations of the unit.
How about putting the damn thing in park use a snatch block and put that damn remote down ! First thing on rollovers put in park so once vehicle is back on its wheels it doesn't roll or set e-brake. Not only does it not roll away but it also slides to help you get on bed. Good ole thp there very patient called for his d-class and got a dumb-class operator.
12/13/2024 The first I'm seeing this. Wow. This was horrible. I hope he has gotten better at this . I was watching this scratching my head. When I first started I wasn't the best. I had two good trainers. But I know I wasn't this bad.
😂 i opened the comments to say i don’t have a ton of experience but i think i saw many times that changing the winching direction would have done the trick. ALSO, he had it lined up perfect to pull up behind it & get it on the truck, instead he pulled it back into the ditch ??????
Nice thing,it’s junk, don’t have to worry about any additional damage.Just taking out the trash at that point.I do love the figuring out how to recover with the least amount of rigging though.Don’t like him laying under the pickup in that position trusting only the park paw to keep it from rolling over him.Leave the chain till it’s up on flat ground!
Camioneta trabada ,era solo dejar en neutro ,volteo casi bien pero debió aprovechar que la camioneta estaba con las ruedas traseras en el asfalto y luego seria más fácil subirla a la cama
Maybe this guy likes killing time. 🤷 After the rollover should have just winch it up the truck. Thanks for the video definitely learned a lot from this.
To hell with all that extra shit once u rolled it u shoyld just winched it right up the bed from the rear all ya had to do was move your flatbed behind but nah y'all wanna be fancy n shit
If you would've kept your bed straight and ran a snatch block down you would've looked like you knew what you was doing. Slow and super sloppy. Put the remote away. They're for rookies that wanna look cool
I have never seen a more complete "what not to do" video on UA-cam.
Guess he’s never heard of a redirect using snatch blocks
I said the same thing
No sh^t and don’t seem to know how to use them control one that remote yet
Brother that was a funny comment i laugh asf!
You absolutely right 👍👍👍
Bro I literally cringed this is bad the whole thing… the only thing good and cool is the bed rotates lmao.. ones he got it rolled I would have grabbed it from the back idk what he’s doing man
When he flipped it over , he had one tire on the blacktop , all he had to do was pull it from behind 🤣
That’s what I saidddd
true. he is working harder not smarter.
If he woulda used a snatchblock and threw it in gear before he flipped coulda easily just pulled it on from the way he was at the time.
He should’ve started with a snatch block on the opposite side of the bed. He would never had a move his truck. Just saying with 30 years experience it’s called work smarter, not harder lol😊

I will load that truck in 10 mins…
Good info i can see how that could be overlooked until things go bad
Apparently this guy doesn't have the experience enough to use a snatch block when needed.
It's unbelievable what I see there. It was so easy to recover the car. Now it ends in a catastrophe. The man has absolutely no idea. It's terrible to see so much awkwardness.
It's almost as if this guy doesn't have a clue what he is doing! Hopefully he's learned more in the last three years...
I have been working in this industry for two months and I think I have more experience than this gentleman
This was painful to watch
No respect for the owner’s belongings this is one way to do it for sure ! Pure ANIMAL Nice equipment no skills
This mug sucks grease off a J hook 🪝 ⛓️
He probably caused more damage to the vehicle than the wreck did laugh out loud
Thanks for the video, it got the job done. We can all see how we would do it, we are all arm chair critics, but your helping us learn.

i just witnessed 50% truck labor 45% physical labor and 5% brain power / knowledge lol
My God!!!😮 I hope this guy conciders a career change before he ends up hurt.
That truck was freewheeling and he gets down in front of it?
Took way longer than it sould have😂😂
I would love to see that winch cable
A damn birds nest!
Should have made sure that it was in park even though it was in a ditch!!!!
Once it was rolled over, you could’ve winched it from the back and got it back on the road then load it backwards or from the front.
If you have no idea and don't understand the technology, it's better to change jobs.
So just because he wrecked his truck you just mess the bumper up too just to add more damage
look at all the haters in the comment section especially the ones knowing that the car is not a total loss which ever way you do it, this guy is a legend, Good job
Wow low standards
It was painful to watch
Why?
@@colbyhutzellfishingvideos4365 He skipped some steps, didn't use some tools... And basically he's using a control remote to skip everything (tools and steps) wasting minutes, maybe an hour of his life.

Add why would he crawl under it without securing the truck, at one point the cop was showing him how to hook it up
That's crazy lol
I’d be embarrassed to post this
Hook the cable to the low side, put a snatch block on the driver side bottom of your bed. It will drag it up and towards the road center.
It must be this operators first day really needs lots of training and also needs to be introduced to a snatch block. Also dont know how to do a rollover.
Learning video... Thanks
The cop prob went thru a whole bad of seeds waiting on him
He also didn't set E brak before he flipped it over

how much price same model recovry picup?

Yep! Used a snatch block first he would have been gone by now .

The rear was facing the road after the flip. Just get it from behind . He going flip it back over. Where’s your snatch block

no snatch block?
Hurts to watch

should have put it Park and e-brake first.
Probs couldn't get e brake but he def shoulda tried for park. I agree
This is what I call a towman with money n nice ass equipmemt but no knowledge at all
Just watching this pissed me off, no snatch block. Didn’t put in park or emergency brake on, didn’t use his skates🤦🏽🤦🏽
Why didnt my man reposition to the rear of the truck when the ass end of it was still on the roadway?
This was painful to watch

Jesus, no one can help this poor guy pick up all his belongings scattered around the ground? Cop and tow driver should both be giving him a hand…
Driver can't even do his own job
@@towmanac7056 He need the cop and the customer to help him load that truck lol
What is he doing
At least you got a nice truck 😂
Эвакуатор класс. Плотформа супер. А эвакуаторщику 2 блала за работу!!!
You should have already put it in park and set the brake before rolling it over
Hello from Brasil !!!!
Camioneta trabada ,era solo dejar en neutro ,volteo casi bien pero debió aprovechar que la camioneta estaba con las ruedas traseras en el asfalto y luego seria más fácil subirla a la cama
Its called a Snatch block
My eyes really hurt on this one as a tow truck operator
My boi doesn’t own a Snatch block or what ?
What in the world did I watch lol, guy went through so much work to load it
He bout killed himself trying to load it lol
A snatch block would have helped a lot on this one.
Maybe this guy likes killing time. 🤷 After the rollover should have just winch it up the truck. Thanks for the video definitely learned a lot from this.
How he hooked up was wrong
Not a expert... But this seems like a how not too do a roll over type of video...
Muchos errores en la maniobra ✍️✍️✍️
Looks like a “how not to” video
I definitely wouldn’t have posted this video
Para mí cometió muchos errores 😪
Clear the scene dood
New driver? That was very sloppy
Snatch block wasted so much time without it!
Could have used a rollover stick as well.
your fired , no clue
What is he doing can't load a truck for sure he'll I'd done been gone long time ago
Slamming the bed is bad practice
I personally think you should remove this video because I am lmfao at you
This guy doesn't have a freakin clue!
First day in a tow truck? Oh my!
This was so painful to watch
I wish I knew what this guys was doing. He probably gets paid by thw hour. This truck could of been pick up 30min ago
