Honestly, I didn't really like the bit with the Diamonds. At the very least it's extremely out of character for Yellow. It's already been said that even for a gem, 6000 years is a long time. And like you said, she was laughing too much. It all just felt wrong, like they forced a happy ending. That being said, you guys are right, her going with them is extremely unhealthy. They're trying to replace Pink with each other. While It might work for a few years, it'll fall apart again later. That honestly might be the only bad thing I have to say about the movie.

not exactly, considering she's on cloud drugs now instead of just being plain annoying
i used to not like this ending but now i look at it more like 2 groups of people that lost the same person they loved and are able to bond and become family because of it
The way you see it is beautiful but the problem to me is the people involved, both Spinel and the diamonds aren't exactly right in the head

I definitely agree that this wasnt the healthiest thing that could have been done. But I feel like there are two routes here. One where the diamonds and spinel learn from eachother to not make the same mistakes they both did with pink, or the other path where it's basically a reboot of the root of all their problems with spinel instead. Unfortunately I think the latter is more realistic...they havnt had proper therapy

Spinel is as Dependant as us Diamonds, what had brought us together is the loss of Pink and all of us having the one thing in common, needing someone to take the role that she had in all our hearts.
Though admittedly, it is a worrisome sign of sheer dependency between the four of us.

is it the healthiest thing for them to do? probably not.
could it have ended any other way? probably not.
Spinel desperately wanted to be loved, and was hurt because she was abandoned.
the diamonds spent the last however many years grieving over their fallen sister in the worst possible ways (one cried, one lashed out, one tried to control everything); now they have a way to START healing.
Spinel can feel something other than the pain of abandonment, and the diamonds have someone they can love, and maybe their thoughts can start to move away from the death of pink.

Idk how I feel about the ending, the diamonds still think of Pink as a sort of Clown/pet more instead of an equal. It looked like they just wanted another person to liven things up, even White Diamond isn’t that fond of the lower life forms of gems. Maybe they feel regret for making Pink feel like shit and leaving them so they’re trying to look after her friend but it’s gonna go downhill someday
