To put it simple...if you weren't around in the 80s then you'll never know however this will let you feel the magic the time had. Was fucking great. Long live Rock an Roll!
Oh man... this is Dokken at its peak: George Lynch playing with such passion, Don`s voice is powerful; I always wanted to play the guitar like George (Only in my dreams).
After watching this I never realized what a supreme badass rock drummer Mick is. Unreal! He has superb technique, and a genuine feel. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Goddam rite..some things in human history will remembered for 1000s of years like jesus Arnold ali tyson jordan Ruth hulkster and so on.....and Dokken roses cinderella acdc iron maiden poison ozzie cooper Metallica vixen lita ford etc etc
this embodies every element of why I fell in love with this band as a 17 year old. I'm 51 now, and still is amazing in 2021. George hits a couple notes that really tickle the nuggets. Dons voice at this time.. total power and control, not shying away from the high notes at all. Just awesome!
Man.... I saw these dudes in 1983 with Twisted Sister... I have been a fan forever, tho'. This vid shows Don's painted-on pants and perfect nose. GL is a Beast ! God Bless the days before full body tattoo's, digital samples, ghost writers, and iTunes bands ! 8-x
Dokken at its best! Don had the most amazing voice. Mick was a badass drummer. I am glad that I grew up in the best era of music: the 80s. Long live Rock and roll.
Crazy through the years how many tones George has grabbed. Every one of them awesome. Hard to think of a player who's covered more ground overall. Stone cold cool guitar designs, unique soloing, side projects, reinventions, constantly taking things to another level, distinct style, bands he's been front and center, supporting roles, just to name a few.
Oh my god, what a band, such great musicians, no help from computers, no help for anything electronic. Just pure plain born talented guys. Don amazing vocals and George Lynch is so underrated, he is a virtuoso, period.
when you have a drummer you need no click track ! speeding up is a cool trick to get the band and audience into a groove ! you will never get that vibe with a clicktrack !
George Lynch is a slave to his tone. So if he can't get the right sound, he might have a bad night or a night fighting the sound. It's a very peculiar tone that gets that screaming, singing sound.
you can also hear that high sounds break very much maybe video this recorded is bad or the palyer or something. at 0:51 at the "take" part of "all that i could take" you can hear clearly breakacke
Hahaha!!!! had to watch the head at the bottom right of Mick's kit for a bit, thought it was a fake head with that expression...until it finally moved!
this is when the hair bandz were very cool & INFLUENTIAL...Dokken had some great songs back then....Lynch's riffs & shredding were catchy & memorable.....
Here's a cool number from Dokken featuring Don Dokken on vocals, the incredible George Lynch on Guitar and a great musician Jeff Pilson on bass...just for fun,,,loveya..yeah I'm old!! LOL!
GOSH! Someone please invent a time machine. I was a toddler these times but now, I’d love to see them here this time. 😭 Don in those tight leather pants are EVERYTHING!!❤️
Rocki'n with Dokken as Dokken was #1 with me at this time and until Back For Attack album Don and Lynch just couldn't get it together years after thatthe original 4 got back together however it just wasn't like it was b4 they broke up
jejeje you're right man. Dokken should be huge. Sometimes I hammer people in the head just because they don't know 'bout DOKKEN. I hate when they mention other bands more.
yeah war of egos begin for thiskick-ass band dokken and in meantime jms980 this era it was RESURECTION for ICON-AEROSMITH too philly is gr8 city for part of US history (1776-liberty bell-etc etc ) this night in 1987, a new part of rock history was happened live on stage in philly too don dokken try anything to get his independence and tyler try anything to stay sober AND HE WIN TOO god bless philly coz phlly roxxx
Judas Priest started the whole wall of Marshall stack thing. Its a pretty powerful optical illusion if your in the crowd and it makes the concert seem louder than it really is
To put it simple...if you weren't around in the 80s then you'll never know however this will let you feel the magic the time had. Was fucking great. Long live Rock an Roll!
kids born in 2000 and itno metal can also feel this vibe, its like a time machine
Oh man... this is Dokken at its peak: George Lynch playing with such passion, Don`s voice is powerful; I always wanted to play the guitar like George (Only in my dreams).

TAMA
Best 80's drummer IMO. Perfect balance of groove, technique and feel.
Absolutely!! Mick brown was solid always
Don's vibrato, especially in the higher registers were what kind of set him apart. He was fucking great back then
Even as a 60's child, Dokken represents the best of the 80s, my favorite decade for rock and roll, by far!
Yes. Best Hair metal band ever.
love george lynch guitar stances looks like he is fighting of 150 mph wind gusts now thats awesome!
I know man, it even looks naturalwhen he does it lol
Dokken の Just Got Lucky はおそらく今まで聞いた中で最も好きな曲です。
Don had a great voice, his high notes, sound so good mixed with guitar.
People will still be listening to this a 100 years from now-80s metal was so melody driven and it will never be forgotten

George s riff through this song is just class. What a guitar player. 👍

Dude those are real leather pants not paint ons. You can see the creases. He looks great in them and love the leather coat!!!
Don was one of the best singer around back in those days. Such a distinct sound 🙌
the Dokken sound ...
Dokken at its best! Don had the most amazing voice. Mick was a badass drummer. I am glad that I grew up in the best era of music: the 80s. Long live Rock and roll.
Best live guitar tone period !!!
Ya it is great tone
bgibson70 George Lynch is the best ever
Was he using those jubilees or are they just a prop?
@@4572dk his rack stands on the left side of the stage
I think it stands between him and Nuno Bettencourt.

Love that sayin' of yours -- Rokken w/ Dokken. They are one of my favorite four or five rock bands of all time.
Oh my god, what a band, such great musicians, no help from computers, no help for anything electronic. Just pure plain born talented guys. Don amazing vocals and George Lynch is so underrated, he is a virtuoso, period.
Love to watch Mick slammin the Tama's....traditional grip. Sweet!! He noticibly speeds up several times. But they sound great. Awesome video!
when you have a drummer you need no click track ! speeding up is a cool trick to get the band and audience into a groove ! you will never get that vibe with a clicktrack !
George friggin' rules and so does old school Dokken!! This is how rock guitar was meant to be. LOVE George Lynch!
great 80's metal....dokken still awesome over 20 years later......
George Lynch is a slave to his tone. So if he can't get the right sound, he might have a bad night or a night fighting the sound. It's a very peculiar tone that gets that screaming, singing sound.
You can tell that his classic signature reverb\delay was missing. He could feel it and it affected his playing.
you can also hear that high sounds break very much maybe video this recorded is bad or the palyer or something.
at 0:51 at the "take" part of "all that i could take" you can hear clearly breakacke
Hahaha!!!! had to watch the head at the bottom right of Mick's kit for a bit, thought it was a fake head with that expression...until it finally moved!

You can literally cut the tension between Don and George with a knife, those looks could cut steel
Lol the roadie in the bottom right next to Mick blasting lines of cocaine and jaw dropping
this is when the hair bandz were very cool & INFLUENTIAL...Dokken had some great songs back then....Lynch's riffs & shredding were catchy & memorable.....
George is such a guitar beast!
Here's a cool number from Dokken featuring Don Dokken on vocals, the incredible George Lynch on Guitar and a great musician Jeff Pilson on bass...just for fun,,,loveya..yeah I'm old!! LOL!

Somehow Jeff Pilson bass lines sound much more noticable than on the record which is awesome cuz JP is a killer player
Top 25 band of all time.....there can be no doubt!

THE FUCKING DRUMMER IS A FUCKING BEAST
painkiller619 undertaker WILD MICK BROWN
what a great band, with lynch being one of the best guitarist in the world. Awesome
Me to, that guy is just flat out sick. Some of the best live playing.........
Does anybody notice a man in the bottom of the drum riser right at the beginning of George's outro solo?
Drum tech.
George is super on stage, one of the greatest guitarists in the world, that's for sure!
Damn they were opening up? They should have been the headlining band by then? This band had to have been mismanaged.
This was the only hair band I liked. George's guitar tone was impeccable and Don's voice was amazing back in the day.
Great drums every song
I saw this tour back when I was in high school. They opened up for Loverboy.
Garactica great job bro!!!!!! keep up the vid!!!
Long life forever rock n roll
Rocki'n with Dokken as Dokken was #1 with me at this time and until Back For Attack album Don and Lynch just couldn't get it together years after thatthe original 4 got back together however it just wasn't like it was b4 they broke up
I love it Meynard!!!!
Great song.
notice how Lynch took center stage at the beginning of the song and Don goes off to the side! The beginning of the end!!!
yeah i noticed that too....he kicked ass on this song...sounded great
You're witnessing the "Barber Shortage" of the 80's!
Hi great band end of story
Hard rock 🤘😈
George "fingers" Lynch, wow!
Air drums are Don's specialty
Dawn started out playing drums first then guitar
the best version with Don singing. Jeff just cuts it better on the semi-acoustic gig.
jejeje you're right man. Dokken should be huge. Sometimes I hammer people in the head just because they don't know 'bout DOKKEN. I hate when they mention other bands more.
How the fuck was Dokken opening for Gayrosmith and not the other way around!!!
No mistaking who the guitarist is in 87!!!!
best song ever peroid
yeah war of egos begin for thiskick-ass band dokken

かっこいいな!
This is an incredible performance, better than beast from the East.
Wow George's tone is spot on in this performance.
What about "Wild" Mick Brown!!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was never much into Poison, Bon Jovi or Motley Crüe, just Dokken and Stryper. Why? Great melodies and great drummers, I guess. (I am a drummer)
Yes, remember Tesla, Shooting Star, Skid Row, and Keel. Anybody who thinks Motley Crüe is better than Dokken should take a curse in remedial music.
just got lucky my fav song in the world
INCREDIBLE!!
Totally Kick Arse! Awesome...
Most bands will have a wall of amps because it looks very cool. Very few bands actually use all the amps
Judas Priest started the whole wall of Marshall stack thing. Its a pretty powerful optical illusion if your in the crowd and it makes the concert seem louder than it really is
lol this video fuckin ROCKS!!!!
21 year's ago. shit! were did the time go? and can he still fit into those leather pants??
2:27 makes me cry :(
Ah...the 80s! Good stuff. Get a look at the wierd dude's face just to the lower right of Mick's drum kit. Is that freaky or what?
lol 3:56 at teh bottom of teh drums, little hobbit rumagin aroudn haha
Jeff should sing this one. Always and every single time
