During this time Dons vocals were great but Mick and Pilson are sooo good and provide excellent backup vocals. Of course Lynch not only has phenomenal solos but his rhythm guitar riffs were some of my favorites of the time. When I was just learning guitar In my Dreams was not only enough of a challenge but really fun to play. I must have worn my cassette out rewinding it over over trying figure the solo out by ear. Lol. Good times.
And a very cool dude. I met him at a Pat Travers show in Sacramento sometime around 2006. My buddy was drunk as hell and needed to go outside. Mick and the girl he was with were hanging out by his mini truck and my buddy was hanging all over the side. Mick and I were talking when I recognized who he was. He was totally flattered I knew who he was and remembered the concerts with Dokken. Then his girl is laughing saying my friend was trying to get into the truck. He's at least 250lbs and 6'3". Mick starts laughing when we see the back of his pants and says, "Hahaha...he pissed his pants!" My buddy had pissed himself and had no idea. Then Mick says to me, hey you want a beer? I said cool. Then says, Pat is going on stage. Let's have a beer and go say hi." Mick is the coolest dude I've ever met in a band.
I brought a LYNCH IS GOD banner to the show because as a 17 yo guitar player I believed it. Still to this day I LOVE the man so much. Dokken (with George Lynch) was often overlooked when influential 80s bands are talked about. Lynch made sure to get Eddie's advice & approval. He is a top 5 guitarist from that era.
VH Rising talks about George and Ed being buds early on coming up starting out. Differing versions on which one stumbled on the two handed tapping. One had George seeing a blues player do it, told EVH he had to check it out, and take it because George wanted to go a slightly different direction developing his style. Cool read.

DOKKEN(Don,George,Jeff,Mick) is eternal “In my dreams”
It's still the same
Damn wish the Camera could stay on Lynch through the solos really unaware of the sweep in coverage..
hehe me n the guy that taught me to play guitar his name John something er other road tripped that show (Oakland) in his tiny yellow Honda Civic lol, got lost about nine times once we got to Oakland it was awesome 2 lil white punks in a motorcycle engine powered Honda lost in Oaktown.... Great show tho...
In this video either their lip syncing or the video and audio is not linked up
Great!
I have this video tape somewhere. What a great show. Saw a few shows by these guys. Awesome every one
Saw this tour with Aerosmith...fun times and the best guitar playing!
Cool read.
@@RockDawg77 Not true .
Incredible how Don Dokken sounded on vocals back then. It's sad to see him now.
if u were to asked me what's my top 5 80s guitarist, in my opinion
1. EVH
2. VITO BRATTA
3. GEORGE LYNCH
4. Randy Rhodes
5. JAKE e lee
just keep showing the bass player all the time, like he's the star of the show
Pilson is every bit a accomplished amazing player as the rest of the band & I’m a huge Lynch fan
ESP Guitar🤟🏻🔝
There has to be a way to synchronize the audio to match the video here, if they're both from the same night.
We all get lucky sometimes. Some of us more than others. But either way, That’s just how it turns out. M.R. Lynch, We live right next to each other, When your in California!! Let’s Jam With Each Other! “EPIC”

Man, what a mismatch of bands though! Different kinds of energy altogether. But I bet both bands sounded awesome 👍

One of the roadies was snorting coke at the start of Just Got Lucky off the drum riser turns to the camera and wipes his nose classic for that time

They must have recorded over this. Vocals don't sync up. His mic is away from his face but you hear him singing. Plus lip sync looks off.
Dynamite band
Love Lynch. Love him. My vibrato is good almost solely b/c of him. But wow he was such a poser on stage. lol!
frankdrebin me too.
Did they open for Judas Priest here????
Saw this tour in OKC. Such a good show!
And Dokken blew Aerosmith off the stage. And Aerosmith was great.
