What a fun, yet very well engineered, release. Bravo! Great to see you back in your completely joyous mode, Britt!
Right?! Absolutely love it! Watches are meant to be fun! And it’s great to be back in joyful mode! It’s been a tough year. 💕 but watches are the best escape!
AP has Carbon Forged Diver at 35k, Panerai at 17-20k, what an amazing package at sub 1k! Amazing 🙏🏼⌚️💪🏼
Tissot is so good at making great watches for great value. I swear, they're like the Seiko of Switzerland. Except those bezels seem to line up. Seriously, Tissot have become one of my favorite brands, and while this watch isn't my style, I think it's cool as H-E-double-hockey-sticks. So glad you could get this in for review. Thanks for another great video.
“The Seiko of Switzerland”!!! I love this! Perfectly said.
Seiko is not at all the value monster they once was anyways
4:45 this video is the only source on the entire internet I searched (including Tissot own docs) to explain the timer function, many thanks! I'll probably pick up the blue one, I love swimming and this fits even in the pool best (even better than Omega Seamaster imo😊)
I love your videos! Every time the same emotions! And your perfect taste!
I have gotten this blue Sideral. It has a better loom than other colors. As the blue Sideral’s watch case is an eye soothing blue marble, it is the most recommended watch that amazes a watch collector.
I picked up the Blue yesterday. Wow. What an amazing and fun watch. Loving it.
Wow didn't think you would talk about this watch it didn't seem like a watch on your radar a happy little surprise a very fun summer watch I have to say Tissot is on of my fav watch brands.Have a good weekend Britt.
been waiting for a review of the Sideral. You just earned a new subscriber!
I absolutely love this release. I love the blue one, especially with the mix of blue in the case. At one point I'd considered picking up a yellow vintage Sideral S, but ended up holding off. The specs on this are a solid value at that just barely 3 figure price. I love the way the fully lit lume looks in photos, but my friend just picked up the yellow and said everything but the actual bezel is kind of weak in the lume department. Other than that, he really likes it and has about a 6.75" wrist. I'm sure it will be fine on my 7.25" wrist. The only reason I have not picked one up is I am attending Chicago Windup in a couple weeks and with all the amazing brands there, I think I'll end up wanting something from the show and want to save money for that. I really do still want a Sideral and think it will be a great summer/lake/beach watch. I've been on a sail boat once and yet I love so many yachting chronographs/regatta timer type watches. I can't explain it.
As a French guy I have to say that we have currently more pressing issues than your pronunciation.
💕💕💕💕💕 sending all our love.
@@BrittPearceWatches Don't worry, business as usual. It's July, all will shut down for two month and we're back again in September for the next round of strikes.
😂
Lol, as a Spanish speaker, I never try to get French pronunciation correctly…I sound silly 🤣
Sidereal is not french , so no need to worry about that -it's Latin , from the Latin word "siderus" meaning Star
No french wards were harmed in your pronunciation
Great review - lots of personality - great to see you back to yourself!
Damn another cool retro re release. It looks wowser and backed up with awesome specs, have I got room in my box for a bit of bright funky retro, of course I have 😊 have I got room in the bank balance, no 😢, love it though and thanks for another great review/article.
That watch is Dyn-o-mite! Thanks for a great video showcasing this Tissot.
Looks like fun. I have a Tissot Seastar with the powermatic 80 and it's a great movement.
Britt, You are on a roll! Ms. content creation machine! Another great video.
Tissot Sideral in yellow is my favorite out of the three. Fun summer watch 😊
🤣🤣 poor watch fam! I need to give you guys a break from me! There’s been too much happening this week! The yellow is awesome isn’t it?! Just a spot o fun!
@@BrittPearceWatchesnoooooo no break needed. I for one have been really enjoying all the videos you’ve been releasing lately as well as the shorts and the quizzes
Nice video of a great 'new' Tissot model!
Looks really cool and i would go for the blue one but to much money for me for just a fun watch. Right now im looking at the Tissot seastar 1000 40mm for a everyday watch.
Dang these look so fun! It’s probably going to be too big for me but I will pop in a Tissot next time I pass by one 😂
Thank you for sharing this watch presentation with us. ;)
Nice release. Fun and funky.
Really like this watch , it's a very nice summer watch and what a great price for the spec. If I can recall the original had no casebook so the movement came out of the front.
Ohhh I didn’t know that!
These are super fun looking! Could be my new grab-and-go beater watch.
Right?! Just a spot o fun!
I saw this on the internet last week and am very intrigued. I like the blue one since there is blue in the carbon case. I'm hoping to find one at a local dealer before I pull the trigger. Also, BTW I am a sailor, so perfect watch for me!
Retro times. I just preordered the Seiko SRPK17K1
I like it i also like that you can change the straps
That yellow really pops, I’d thake either of those sailing!
Love the unique look of this watch; I just wish it weren’t so big. 39mm is my sweet spot, which is why I adore my BB58❤ 😊
Great vid about the ultimate summer watch of 2023!
Right?!?! I couldn't agree more! Oozes summertime!
happy to see you recovering well!
Ahhh thank you so much! 😍😍😍
Great video ✌🏻personally I'm really torn about the yellow and blue, I'm going to get one next week 👀🤞🏻🙌🏻
Very good looking watch with strong quality!! I like the yellow one
Great review... you may have nudged me off the fence!
It looks very nice on your smaller wrist. Tissot brings to market tremendous value.
Saay the roll. 😁 Watch Gringa, the next Tissot with case made from radonized carbonized pressed straw felt plus mahogany bezel, offered below mere 2.000 bucks will surely fit your rural / country taste. BTW, nice sporty watch.
Very nice, this seems to be a darling in the making.
Right?! I couldn't agree more!
I bought mine in yellow (of course) from Teddy. Got it last week and it has become a favorite. SUPER comfortable strap, very light weight runs +3 seconds and looks completely original in my collection. BIG THUMBS UP!!
Hows the bezel action? Be honest! Lol
Right?? The yellow is the BEST!!! Biggest congrats EVER for owning this amazing watch!
@@cousineddie3302 It's very grippy, snaps into place nicely and loud. But not very smooth. My Seiko Samurai has better bezel action. But my older Omega Seamaster GMT has a worse bezel because its stiff and not grippy. For $1K it's almost what I'd want in a bezel, almost.
@@cousineddie3302 I checked these out in the store earlier. The bezel action is pretty decent, I would say better than seastar, and the lume is sick too! Brightest one would be the Blue dial, as the blue color in the dial lit up, then the red one with dark lume in the dial which is surprising, then lastly the yellow dial as the yellow color didn't lit up unlike the other.
@@cousineddie3302 I just bough one and have been wearing it constantly. Not ganna lie.... the bezel is functional ... decent.. .but does have a cheapness feel to it. Lume is just Okay.... def not like a seiko or rolex. Here's who the watch is for: A luddite like me who loves auto watches -- hates smart watches and wants to take something to the beach, on a run (it's light) , camping, boating , active sh!t... you get the picture. Anything you you don't want a heavy-ass stainless on your wrist for.
Just ordered the Red Sideral using the Promo Code at Francis & Gay! I tried the watch at an AD earlier today. The dial really spoke to me. Once I rewatched the video and heard about the Promo Code, that was it. This watch HAD to be mine! Thank you for introducing me to the Sideral, and my first Tissot! 🫶🏻🥳🙌🏻🙏🏻🍹 Britney, you LEGEND! 💃🏼
In my opinion, you are really the best watch youtuber.
I enjoy your videos a lot, keep going please! ♥️
WHAAAAT! Now THIS is going straight to my ego and it’s the nicest thing I’ve read. 😭 thank you so much! I hope you keep enjoying my weird little channel!
@@BrittPearceWatchesYou are doing great and I mean that! :)🫶🏻
Britt great episode. I do have to say the opening 10 sec had a Your Terrific look🤔
Bahaha! I do watch a lot of his videos! It must be rubbing off! Although I am in a pickle! I went to a product photography course (for sneaker photography funny enough!) and learned how to use a bunch of colourful backgrounds. Only to find... You're Terrific cornered that market! ;P Hehe!
I like them. Not my thing tbh but I do like them. Funky was the first word that came to my mind too!
Your Accent isnt disgusting, I enjoy hearing you say Aboot, Videews, and howpfully. Being from Phildefia (sic) where we say Wooder, Baffrroom, and Hoagie, its fun to hear different accents. And you dont sound at all like Terrence and Phillip from South Park. 'Yo, you wit da watch, Wat time iz it ova dare?' is how we ask the time in Philly.
Super cool watches for sport tissot is the best Richard from Puerto Rico
Tell them "Gringa" sent you.... LOL! That's it subscribed! LOL
Love Tissot watches.
I like it!!!! thanks for the review!
Right?! They’re so funky!
@@BrittPearceWatches Damn you!!!! I bought the Yellow from Tissot's site. Love it. Perfect summer watch for jeans/shorts and a T shirt. They definitely don't have the same look or presence as a shiny steel watch.... I think $600 is probably a better price point... but it's a perfect automatic for cycling ,running, active sweaty stuff, going to the beach, etc... Light, fun and not like "super serious", heavy ---- like a stainless diver. You can tell this was designed by the Swatch group. Make automatics watches fun again! :P
will you ever review an Alpina ? Try to sea strong heritage, Alpina alpiner regulator and or alpina 4 . great bang for the money from a company with high pedigree but highly underrated.
I own the yellow and love it...but the regatta complication is peculiar. and no, the strap is cool...very comfortable...just takes some getting used to.
Ahhh the yellow is the ONE! I still need to see the blue in person tho!
I personally love the watch, it looks amazing and doesn't copy like the rest (or other brands). - Especially for the price of around 1,000 bugs it's simply great :)
bytheway: greetings from Germany :D
Love these watches, great video! I'm curious if the case material makes the watch feel "cheap" in any way?
No, not at all, it has a really solid feel, as does the ratchet mechanism in the bezel 👌🏽
Your Canadian accent is just great!! 😊
Bahaha oh bless! Thank you! I think I've got one of the more confusing accents on UA-cam haha! I've been stuck in the UK far too long! But I am going home soon for a month! So I should be back to FULL THROTTLE CANADIAN ;)
Great, I will buy 5 of it, each color.
The blue color watch will match my 76' Yamaha DT175 Enduro
Watch is great, but understand the really deep length of the chapter ring, especially for just a standard three-handed watch.
these are some great everyday watches. do you know if PVD coating last well over say maybe 3-5 years? (i'm always super careful with my watches i don't bang them around.)
Britt!! So jumping into the deep end... I am not one for bright colors, as earth tones are my safe zone, these do make me think of summer. Notwithstanding the ketchup and mustard references, they do look like watches that belong at summer picnic or barbeque. Glad to see watches that call back to earlier models and also seem to stand alone in style and presence. Claims for the best under $1K?? It's a bold strategy Cotton. Let's see if it pays off....Long Live the Cult(s)
Your pronunciation of "Sideral" is still much better than the "siderail" that I initially called it before I properly paid attention to how it was spelled.
🤣🤣🤣 bahahaha! Easily done!
Sad that you didn’t include a lume shot! These look amazing!!
What's the feeling of carbon composite on the wrist and under fingers? I liked it at first glance but worried it may feel plasticky.
Just bought one from Francis and Gaye with the discount code; thanks Britt!
🙌🏽🙌🏽
Same for me, the yellow version is my 🤩
Right?! Just fun!
This is such a cool watch. Unfortunately out of my price range for a "fun watch", but I do think it is fair based on specs and tech - I mean it's a fricking carbon case and an actual 300m rated "diver" for less than 1k. Tissot is killing it in the last few years. Definitely the brand I'd recommend as an entry level swiss watch.
You're so right! Tissot has been absolutely KILLING IT!
@@BrittPearceWatches yeah you should! The PRX is incredible imo and they just released the 35mm automatic. I own the 40 and love it, but I think the 35 would fit your wrist really well. Maybe you can get a matching set for you and your husband to try them on 😂
Hi Britt!
This watch would make for a nice summer watch. I agree. And I have considered to buy one.
But I don’t understand the price tag. It’s €1,075. And it has the same movement as the PRX. Instead of a full stainless steel bracelet it comes on a rubber strap (is it real rubber or is it silicone?). The forged carbon case isn’t rocket science anymore. But it cost €330 more than a PRX! It’s 45% more! 🤔
Best wishes,
Claus
Because it’s technically a heritage piece
As well as the PRX.
@@Claus-L.Mueller the PRX if I am not wrong has an unserviceable movement with plastic components, even tho they base movemnt is same between the two, the Sideral uses the premium of it like the Gentleman
On my list
Do it in white and I'm in. Great alternative to Doxa and way better value.
The sideral is an interesting watch because it shows that its possible to make a forged carbon case for less than a 1000$. Makes me wonder about Panerai and Doxa and Omega and even Shinola carbon watches, if we are not overpaying a bit for what is basically plastic? Or maybe not all carbon is the same?
Right?! Couldn't agree more!!
Just like rubber straps from Rolex. I can be made way cheaper
@@70h4nn35 Rolex rubber straps have titanium and nickel-alloy blade inside to make them impossible to cut, they are pretty high tech.
Come on eh! Don’t apologize for your Canadian accent.Great vid. I think I want the red banded one.
Damn - I had High Hopes of a Sidereal timer where the day is 23 h 56 min 4.0905 s - genuine nerdy astronomer stuff rather than pretend yacht race bling.
Cool colours though.
Someone is on an upload frenzy.
I really like the yellow one. But i got too many watches already.
🤣🤣 I might have gone a bit overboard! I was too excited with all the new watches this week!
Great fun summer watch for hanging poolside. How does the crown secure if it doesn't screw down?
Actually according to Fratello it is a screw down crown. Not listed in Tissot Specs.
I love them and yellow is my favorite as well.
I do find it funny that marketing is so ubiquitous and implanted in our minds that we say “under 1000” when it’s 995 which technically is but not really after taxes. 2.99 is much closer to 3 than it is 2 but we see the 2 and think it’s a deal. 995 still is triple digits but if it had 4 at exactly 1K and suddenly it’s not the same deal 🤣
This watch looks super cute and whimsical and Britt is such a babe with all due respect. Thank you for this channel.
Oh man! I was sooo knackered when I filmed this! so I was worried I looked really tired in this one. ^_^ This watch IS so fun and whisical isn't it?! It made it a lot of fun to film.
The strap could be a deal breaker, but should be ok if one does not mind replacing it with Nato strap.
I don't know why but it kind of reminds me of a 'swatchified' version of a Doxa diver! It would be great to see you review one (Sub 300T) since you love dive watches!! Also still waiting on someone in the UA-cam watch world to show love to Ulysee Nardin 🤞
Bahaha you know, I totally understand what you mean when you say "Swatch-ified Doxa". I'm trying to think of a clever Swatch Doxa name now haha
@@BrittPearceWatches The Swoxa 😂
I hate UN! At least I noticed.......
Reminds me of my military swatch.
I kinda like it. The only negative for me is the display caseback. Sorry, but it's just not that well finished a movement, so I'd rather that were covered up, otherwise it's an awesome deal for under 1K
Hah! I have an original mechanical Sideral from the 70s as well as a kiddie style Rotary with replaceable bezels and a strap that works just like this new one 😊😊😊
Ahh I love this!
As a French guy who stayed up to end, I agree with your prononciation of the word Sidéral !! Nice watches, very interesting this compressed carbon case. 😃
Hahaha! The French seal of approval!
Not for me but a great release from Tissot. It won't/can't ever match the appeal of the PRX but it's cool in its own right, and another step away from being just another department store watch brand. (By the by, great review and I really enjoy your reviewing style. I'd much rather watch 100 of these reviews - even for less popular or well known watches - than yet another youtube "review" of a picture of a Rolex.)
I found your channel recently and i have to say: i like your personality. it's kind of silly
When I 1st saw this release I thought they looked super cool. But the more video's I see, the less I like them. The look odd on wrist IMO and I generally love a funky watch. I will have to check them out in person.
The red in my colección of washes
Tissot is making his way up to be one of the most diverse Watch brands along with Seiko ( you know I am a Seikoholic haha)
I love the way the straps slide into the case ❤
Hope you have a fantastic weekend Britt 👌🏻🔥
DR FERNANDO. HE IS HERE! And his diagnoses is: Tissot is making its way up! ;) hehe. You know, I think it is time to do another Gringa Seiko video. Did you see the Mad Watch Collector video today?!?!!
@@BrittPearceWatches yeeeees 🙌🏻😎😮😱, that reissue is totally epic 😱😱. Sadly is a limited edition but oh well.
Really big! Not into it personally BUT yes subjective as we all see this hobby different lol
Those are wicked cool! But I wanna see a lume shot.
HOW DID I NOT INCLUDE A LUME SHOT?£ the lume is amazing!
I’ve watched this video 3 times now
There is also a blue dial/strap version that in person looks better than the red and yellow versions.
6:18 😝 but I’ve not seen it in person!
Not only is it a cool piece, Powermatic movement has an 80 hr powercreserve and with it's Nivachron spring is very anti-mangnetic.
Looks like Amphibia 090 case carbon mod ;)
Tissot and Hamilton watches are like Casio and Seiko of the Swiss makers. They are unique and very dependable and I will never sell them.
What I am wondering about is how well will this carbon hold up in the long run ( if no de lamination starts to happen ).
Now that's the question!
Oh yeah, those canadian french speakers... I tried to watch canadian french television the other day because they had a fascinating dance show on. But this "french" that is occasionally peppered up with english and what seems to be Toronto urban slang totally broke me. 😥 About the watches i totally love the yellow one, i just haven't started to appreciate Tissot. To me the swatch group owns more brands than they can define buyers target groups. Usually Tissot isn't for me, so i'm a little unsure here.
Britt....luv ur jacket
Ahh stolen from the husband ;)
Happy Canada Day🇨🇦!
Tissot is going to launch 35mm ice blue PRX with powermatic 80 movement
Nice specs, but I can't imagine where I'd wear this thing. It arrives a bit late for clambakes on the beach with my fellow 20-somethings. (It looks like something Swatch would sell, tbh.)
I have the yellow one. I use the rubber strap for water activities and swap out for a NATO for everything else.
Lake Ontario is indeed impressive. You could even say it's a great lake.
did you take inspiration from yourterrific? ;)
Not really interested in this watch, but this review was fun.
I just wish they would make it smaller 😢
I did have a classic summer watch with the watermelon Zodiac Super Seawolf (£1k) and I loved it. For a couple of years. Then i wore it less and less as it took effort to find an occasion to wear it for just part of the year. Sold it but have a 90s colour-way G-Shock which does the same summer-pop-of-colour job but at less than £100. And there are loads of G-Shock colourways out there. tldr: summer watches should be cheap and cheerful.
