I use Anti Seize Grease it is Gray and will stay where u put it !!! Magic
Just keep in mind some of the oil or grease can make higher friction, so roof can struggle to open or close.

great video on maintenance on rubber weather-strip .....Can you give me a tip how to glue convertible inner liner, some of them came loose, do you have any idea what kind of glue epoxy i should buy...will wait for response...thanks
My friend had same problem, the liner separated from the rivet's, we used this one, since it's also made for fiberglass, technicaly what the headliner made of: amzn.to/4bvqxh3 this one is fast curing, 5min, and will be set in 1hr. (just be carful on aligning the part's properly, don't rush it).

Thank you for the comment, I did not try, but I was using the polish on the other plastic trim.(work only with drill or polisher)"You still can try it, like I said I didn't try that method" you can do it with the hands but it will take a long time, the problem is in the plastic; it's been exposed to the sun for too long, and that discoloration simply from heat, I'm saying that the plastic disintegrated not the finishing, the only thing it's using the spray paint, but we have seatbelt there, so the only solution is to get the new piece.

I could be wrong but I did not see you take care of the area under the rails - I'm wondering how is that area supposed to be maintained? What are those parts under the rail covers called? Hinges?
Hey. Yes, basically the whole roof is mix of panels and hinges, it's really complicated and precise system, so you need to do proper maintenance!
Hey bro,good job fist of all. I need help about the roof of my e93. It's closing and opening very strong and fast with big noise and shaking the car.
My guess will be Hydraulic cylinders, they tempt to wear off, it's not common, but when it happens the mechanism cant hold the oil properly and the top becomes unstable. Try to stop the roof with an angle, or right before it goes into the trunk, there got to be pressure on hydraulic to test it, then leave it and see if it struggling to hold the top on the same spot, it got to be solid, no movement no struggle at all.
Thanks so much for this, it was so hopeful. Can I use WD40 to do this job? Also when my roof is half open, for me to work on it, it slowly starts to close automatically, is there a way of stopping this?
the one I add in the description should be fine, it's moving part's so most of the lubs or oils will work.

Do you know if there is an emergency put down roof procedure? My rear window regulator in a 4 series gone but the roof is stuck so can't access the panel? I figured that the 3 or 4 series roof have similar mechanism
There emergency lock realize and there way to put it down, but it's not easy, you will need to follow manual for that. not 100% positive and newer done it myself, but heard that it possible. good luck.
Does anyone have a slight knocking noise coming from the driver side of your E93 M3? It’s from the top not sure how to fix this I just lubed all the seals. The knocking sound only happens when I go over certain bumps while driving

And this one is temporary - ua-cam.com/video/0t4vSuPbcq4/v-deo.html, as well as it has the knocking or rattle sound. With adding the grease you can see if this is your problem, but i'm 90% sure that it is. The fix with grease is messy and it less for a month or so.

BMW Doesn’t have much information in terms of what type of product you should use and this is the baseline of work stuff most people use and the people who care about there cars.
My cords are pretty rough and look like they might snap the one you can see sitting from the inside just looking up we’ll how would I go about replacing them?
There quite a few videos on the UA-cam, they relatively easy to replace, but you’ll better to replace them before they snap, use the bee wax on the new one just apply some on the spots that have increased friction.

Short answer is yes it not going to less long, there special wd-40 for moving parts, can’t remember the name, I think i have it in the description…
no way it is water based and does not help to repel rust ! Anti seize grease is is Gray and will stay where u put it ! IMHO the best

You need the comfort entry option. Factory order option only. Even with coding you can't add it aftermarket. 😊

Yes, you are correct) the whole piece need to be replaced, which I wouldn't do, too risky to damage something else... just make something that will hold the piece of plastic on the place...
