Leaks on convertible is always about luck. Check before you buy, make sure its dry every where roof connections are and after clean and lubricate it regularly.
About wind, make sure that car is coming with wind shield its very important and quiet expensive.
With it on Im completely enjoying when doing 80/90 miles.

I’ve had my e93, 322 L diesel, 10 years this March and it still puts a smile on my face with the roof down.,, still get plenty of looks in my opinion, the better shape than the four series doesn’t miss doesn’t burn oil doesn’t ,drip oil on the drive ,,getting 38 the gallon. Why would I want a new car and getting debt for 30 grand, think about it.

Its good cars, just dont stress too much if after some heavy rains you will get some water drops inside. In UK we sometimes have rain from every possible angle and it still can cause leaks from time to time. Depending on rain/wind and car location ( I live in very hilly area)

Beware, the e93 roof parts are not being produced anymore and the exterior roof trim top pieces WILL 100% break due to plastic composition...they will keep breaking multiple times over the life of the car and you cannot repair them. They were cheap when they existed but now you may have to pay over $400 for a single thin strip of plastic trim to cover the joints on the roof. You have been warned.

@@wtfskitzo7783 yes big one is walnut blast. If you cannot verify that it was done recently. Do it. You do not need to during the coolant as some UA-cam videos suggest. I was able to slip out the fan and then turn the crank manually. Spray brake clean into valve area to make sure valves are closed. Pull spark plugs so it's easier to turn over. You will need a long pick set ($15 Amazon ) to get around back side of valves. Use FINE walnut not coarse. Take your time. Also upgrade the PCV I used the ECS tuning metal one with a new vc vent hose. Also even if you don't tune your car buy the mhd and use a k-dcan cable not Bluetooth adapter. It drops data packets and takes longer. Wired is best. Mhd logs. But I use Bimmer geeks protools to code. Should be set after that.

I can tell same about Audi.
Its not about Brand of the car. That problems usually have two reasons:
      1) Pure previous maintenance / history
      2) Bad luck.
I completely understand you because had that few times, but believe its not because of BMW.

@@MarruMotors i mainted it much more then my daily driver which i put 5 times more miles then BMW (Opel Insignia sport tourer) ,bad luck does not change idiotic engineering ,like curent problem is rolover controler module, google it and you will find tons off people with same problem ,module goes bad when you put NEW BATTERY ,mine went out few days after new battery just randomly in the middle off drive, its pain the ass to remove it new is like 500 euros and hard to find becase many people has same problem ,some even every few years ,you cant reset error with any tools and is totaly annoying ,3 lights blink on dashboard ,you cant even see time and temperature on dashboard and it even cover whole Idrive screen ,like why on earth so annoying

I told previous maintenance. Sometimes if car been abused before to hard or have some hidden faults it becomes a nightmare to put everything back together.
I haven’t heard about that module but on Ebay Uk I can see them for fairly small money.

@@MarruMotors Well i like to drive it,when everything work its awsome and still looks awsome , i just bought digital dashboard from China ,now car look 10 years younger and i dont have to look at that ROC error in my eyes .But if you have module regularly go (that cost 500 euro new) just because you install new battery and like almost every E93 had to fight it that is some very stupid engineering or they just want your money to sell you overpriced stuff ,like that module probably cost 20 euro to build.
That on E-bay are used, they will die in blink off the eye
