Wonderboy is a terrific person, but boring af as a fighter and during press conferences. I have no doubt that many will disagree, I just found Wonderboy to lack pizazz bith inside and outside the octagon.

Askren getting booted from the UFC after just 2 losses was ridiculous..... Dude beat Robbie Lawler after getting his face punched in and dropped on his skull..... Second fight, he takes a flying knee that would KO literally ANY man in ANY weight class in that fashion..... Not too mention, that was a fluke that would never happen again. Ben got careless on that one and if he got a rematch, he would take Masvidal down and outwrestle him. No way that would ever happen again.... Third fight was against a BJJ legend that was, in all honesty, a bad match up altogether for Ben. Getting submitted by Maia does not mean you dont belong in the UFC.... That's just crazy. Maia is a beast..... So in the end, you got a guy who beat a massive UFC king pin at the time (Lawler), lost by a fluke flying knee, and got submitted by one of the best grapplers in the world and suddenly you are booted from the UFC? How the hell does that work?...... How many losses did Diego Sanchez or Tito Ortiz have before they were tossed out? Oh wait, they werent! How many losses does Masvidal have right now? Sorry, but as a fan of fighters and seeing the way the UFC treats their athletes that aren't at the top, I'll make no excuses for Dane White and his business practices. Anybody that hasn't read the messages needs to. Dana White & Co. celebrating cutthroat practices that 'are straight out of a movie' (almost a direct quote from the emails) is pathetic. It sucks to realize that your favorite sport is run by thugs and built off pigeonholing young athletes with 12k/12k contract deals, but ya gotta rip the band-aid off and face it.

Dana is a promoter as long as it's him spinning his own story like calling Askren scared or whatever else he says about anyone he doesn't like for 1.37 seconds. He then suddenly doesn't get called a promoter when he has to actually do his job, like promoting new talent. Instead, the fighters are blamed for not being showboaters and generating money and "moving the needle". Yea, fighters have a certain amount of due diligence where they should promote themselves, but at the end of the day, the UFC is the promotion and the fighters are the fighters. UFC gets a pass for not promoting these fighters and then cutting them, but fighters don't get a pass and instead get blamed for not "promoting themselves enough".

Context is important though. Strickland said if you do such and such, he was gonna stab him. Thats not the same as if he just messaged him threatening to stab him. I’m sure there’s some border that can be crossed for yourself that you’d be willing to stab someone over. It’s more of a warning than a threat.

Dana's done a lot for the MMA, but now he is holding it back because he can't be reasoned with. I would't mind someone with a more fighter oriented approach take the UFC to the next level.
