You can tell Rashad Evans genuinely cares about Jon. He seems to have had an extreme self reflection. He seems very careful not to judge Jon.

I think part of it is, we only see these guys when they are training, cutting weight, and getting ready to do battle in a cage fight. I used to hate how cocky he was, especially since rampage was my favorite fighter. But it's easy to see he likes to be cocky in front of the cameras, but was always a good person.

@Mystic Editor You seem like you're trying to argue against a point that was never made. Nobody is saying that they are now perfectly "enlightened" individuals as a result of one acid trip. What has happened though, is these frequent psychedelic trips have altered these people's perspectives and methods of thinking about the world, themselves, relationship, etc., which absolutely changes who they are as a person. If you honestly don't believe that to be the case, then you are seriously misguided in your judgement of human beings.

He said Jon was incredibly naturally skilled. He was smart and his fighting instincts were crazy. He also said Jon was really smart and really confident, but the one vice Jon has that he noticed was that Jon was very impulsive. He said Jon was really impulsive and would do things with zero thought and alot of it depended on who was around him.
But he also clarified that Jon's impulsiveness and wild side is what made him such a good fighter.

His style of communication always sounded the same even across different genres of discussions-building up a structured statement and then instantly breaking it down into segments that he can zoom in on and use to generate his follow up questions, opinions, facts, comparisons or whatever else. While his style suits his own field perfectly, in this particular interview, he sounded like a real businessman or rather an investigator on Rashad's story 😂.
