OR CAL Border Fire Prevention

Out South of O'Brien Oregon near the small Counterculture Communities of Takilma OR and Sun Star CA is the old Historic location of Page Mountain Stagecoach Stop and Livery Stables and all that's there today is a Big Grassy Meadow, a few Fruit Trees and Irish Rose Buses marking the old Stage Stop Location, an old Wood Post signifying the OR CAL Border and the Phone Box for Sun Star CA
In this video I show you and remark on what a Fire Hazard our USDA and Dept of the Interior has allowed our Beloved Wildlands to Become, Chock full of Flammable Dry Grass, Vegetation, Forest Brush and Undergrowth just awaiting a Spark or in most Cases a Bolt of Lightning.
If you are a Proud American like I am then Please Share this Video on Social Media with Friends, Family and especially any Government Agencies that Govern or or Manage our Forest Lands and Your Representatives in Congress and our POTUS too and Remember WE can prevent Forest Fires by not only writing to our Government but being Firesafe when we are out in our Wildlands and when you do have a campfire be sure your fire is Dead Out, Put you hand down on where your fire was it should not be hot when out, a little steam from your bucket of water is to be expected but no smoke and when off road carry a Fire Extinguisher, a Supply of Water and a Shovel and if in a Vehicle avoid Parking in Grass or Brush.

From Eugene, OR then N CA in 1975, regretably, my dad moved us to the foothills for finding work, after living a lot of places in the world, I am back in the same foothills in N CA, family stayed, but looking to put a tiny home someplace eventually, in next 10 years🤙.
Thanks for the update! I work with CDCR, they provide some crews for CAL Fire, that's about all I know!

Thats terrible!! Thank goodness we have a proactive Ministry of Forestry here in BC that takes care of the "deadwood" and clearing the old brush awau!

I feel for you year before last the Smith River Fire in Del Norte County Northern Cal jumped over and into Oregon and missed our home by about a half mile but unlike most our neighbors we keep our forest free from clutter and deadwood, we did have to evac for 4 days but I being retired from local Forest Service we evaced to Fire Camp nearby our forest home. Glad your safe, thanks for the comment
