This is just a couple miles from my home, it used to be open to the public but because of trash dumping in the forest it is locked with heavy gate and tank trap deep trenches so you can't drive around the gate but the area is open to those who can walk without assistance so being a disabilities advocate here in the USA I know the Law inside and out so I got a note from a doctor that says that I need a Gas Powered Mobility Device and the law says that it is up to the disabled person to decide what that Mobility Device is as long as it functions as a mobility device, I gather Photos, Proof from the Feds website ADA.GOV and sent it to the Land agency and after a year of back and forth and a small protest with a few other disabled firefighter that got on local TV they gave me keys to all the local gates although for fun and because my step moms UTV is one bad ass machine I still drive around most besides to hard to get out to open them then close too. First off pardon my grammar and punctuation etc. I have an on the job firefighting traumatic brain injury. As a fire nurse tanker assistant and gold mine owner operator I have vast knowledge of pumps and hydrodynamics. There are no special pumps needed, I use my keene gold dredge at the beach and sometimes with my tbi I forget to flush the pump and no problems, most boat and ship engines use sea water pumped through the cooling systems and every fire engine has built in pumps with hoses and pump foot valves for such occasions as this but when chaos and panic take over common sense is soon lost. When I was a nurse tankers assistant firefighter in los padres national forest on a fire in big sur ca we pumped sea water using gas and propane powered regular like the ones you buy at homeepot water pumps into nurse tankers and then those tankers delivered that sea water to various parts of Los Padres and those tankers onboard pumps delivered to water to fire engines, tenders and etc. the trick is to always clean the pumps and hoses with fresh water. As for the supply of water pumps LA is not only a city but it is a agriculture hub am I am very positive that any farmer would loan a portable water pump in a heart beat as would any building supply and local contractors too, LA has lots of pool and pool supply places so all they need to do is ask. You don't need to tell this ex cali boy anything about that F'd up government, it is why I sold my business and real estate and moved to oregon that is now just as screwed with a retard gov like Gavin Needsomeballs. Other than the Klamath River there are no rivers that flow into california and it does not does not drain into the sacremento river so not sure what you mean by waters from oregon and washington? Many people say that the sea water will corrode fire equipment so is fire equipment more valuable than Human Lives, a fire pump or even fire trucks can be replace but our lives cannot. the State of Cal and my state too needs to stop making excuses and Get R Done and do whatever it takes and as for the endangered smelt in the aqueduct preventing firefighters and farmers alike from using the aqueducts water screw it as that smelt is in the Sacramento River too so your not endangering them by pumping fire water or for that matter ag water from the CA Aqueduct that our Federal Tax Dollars built for just that purpose.
