Elvis's music covered every genre with a range of songs that will take you on a journey of every emotion. There is a plethora of Elvis music that will make you want to dance. Elvis didn't record many social "message songs" This one and "If I can dream" are the 2 that comes to mind. this performance was the only live performance of this song he ever did. And his performance of "If I can dream" which is Possibly the greatest and most moving live performance of any song by any performer, was also only performed once in his career, which was during the filming of his TV special in 1968. now known as the "68 comeback special". His preference was music that entertained.
Great song. Nice react. Two Elvis songs that no one ever mentions or really know about that are great are “long black limousine” and “true love travels on a gravel road”. He has beautiful sad songs.
Actually it's 'long black limousine' :-). He has a catalogue of 800+ songs - many of which are sadly not widely known. I really love his take on funk - and R&B. Greetings from Bavaria
Elvis sang so many different genres. If you want to react to an upbeat Elvis song, then please watch "Suspicious Minds live in Las Vegas 1970" and/or "Heartbreak Hotel" from the 68'comeback special.
Thank you, I have seen the new Elvis movie which has a remake of the Suspicious Minds performance so I don't feel I can do that one. As for Heartbreak Hotel, I'll have to look up if that one was in the movie too, if not, I could do that one. Thank you.
Hi Jess... once again a lovely and emotional reaction from you to one of the most beautful and powerful Elvis songs. What "shocks" me the most about this song, which was written in 1970 (!), is the fact that it hasn't lost any of its actuality. The problems that are described in this song, are still the same, unfortunately. And now.... *drunroll*... next one should be.... *drumroll*... Aurora ! Am I right ? ;-) Best wishes from Germany : Gerry
The King! He died when I was 7, but I was a huge fan..... He was my number one artist for all these years, until I compleatly fell in love with Aurora's music, so no he is number one male artist 😎🇧🇻
You look really beautiful this video(as you often do) Say what you want about Elvis but man, so much talent and style. He's a legend through and through. I hope you get some Chuck Berry on the channel one day too, another Early Rock And Roll Legend. As for songs about the ghetto. This song and The Darker side of town by Curtis Mayfield have always stuck out to me as good songs talking about the hard times growing up in certain areas. Great lyrics
Hi there! I just found you 2 songs ago. I see you just started this channel, PLEASE continue!!! I follow many reactors and I just want to say I REALLY LIKE YOU!!! Not that that means anything in the whole grand scheme of things but you are real and genuine, that is certain. If I may offer a song up to you for the whole Music in Bed theme, Donna Summer "I feel Love" EXTENDED version studio cut. Looking forward to more of YOU!
Hi Jeff, thank you so much for the feedback. I have had weeks of sick kids so I took some time off but by this time next week I should be back into the swing of things. I AM real ☺️ I’ll never fake it so you are correct there. I have a feeling that I’ve heard the song before - her name sounds familiar. I’ve put it on my list and if I’ve heard it before, I’ll stop the recording. Thank you ☺️
Elvis had to sing a depressing song to give the women in the audience a break from swooning. There wouldn't be a dry seat in the house at one of his shows!!! This guy was popular with the ladies. I always liked this song. This guy could sing and dance back in the day. Did you know he learned to dance from Forrest Gump!!!🙂🙂🙂
Hahaha true, very considerate of him to give the women a break and make them feel a different kind of emotion. Oh yeah, young Elvis makes me feel like a cougar. Hahaha I don’t remember much from Forrest Gump (it’s been at least 20y since I last saw it) but I do remember that.
Great choice, if a little depressing but true. For more Elvis live material from the same era that's more positive, check out "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" and "Polk Salad Annie".
What many young people don't understand that he was an activist. He broke racial barriers in the 50's when white stations would not play black music. Elvis did every type music from rock to gospel. Watch "Jailhouse Rock". Look at the '68 ComeBack special, "That's Alright Mama". He was not one dimensional that's why he was so loved as a singer, danced and actor. He broke the mold. As Brittany Spears said "Elvis was the sexiest man to ever walk the earth", thanks, I hthink?
This one is a heavy one, a good one though. I don't know how it is where you live but here in the U.S. there are "diaper banks" and places you can donate to new mothers in need. I'll be heading to the one in my town today with wipes and diapers, when I hear this song or Neil Young's "Rockin In The Free World" I take to the diaper bank! God Bless. You need a laugh now so check out Joe Diffie "Pick Up Man" Have a great day!
Another great reaction to a great song, you are a pleasure to watch. I think you would like Long Black Train by Josh Turner please react like to see more of you reacting.

This is Elvis at his Best.. Suspicious Minds or Kentucky Rain should be your next Elvis reactions

Awesome reaction! Please please please react to his version of bridge over troubled water
You would like Harry Chapin's Cats in the Cradle.
Yes I do ❤️ took on a whole new meaning when I heard it again a few years ago
From the ghetto
Studio version ten times better. He often «hurried» this one in concert.
Try some placebo, especially nancy boy or teenage angst.
I think I’ve heard some of their stuff. Ill put them on the list just incase I haven’t heard these songs.
