      Medically speaking it should be 30ml per Kilogram. That is a more accurate number for each different individual 😊

      Water tastes different from different places due to the filtering process and what is in it. So maybe they're just drinking rubbish water?

      blackeyedbutterfly same i mean like drinking enough water is easy for me but i hate the fact that i have to pee every minute esp in public where theres no access to bathrooms sometimes and i always always hold my pee and it actually bothers me that it might affect my health someday 😭

      I certainly pee more. Almost timed pees! I ALWAYS pee at 9.45 and after that it's almost every 2 hours until 6pm! (When I stop drinking as much water)

    You're absolutely right about how everybody is different. I wouldn't need to drink 8 glasses of water everyday because unlike like most people my body isn't 60% water. It's actually 60% pizza sauce and cheese.

      At my gym we have this thing where for the people who don’t think cheer is hard we can bring them in for a level 1 or level 2 day for 5 hours it’s also for people who wanna join just to get the feel of it

      actually she really does take on extreme challenges. watch her other videos one time she trained and dieted like a victorias secret model the other time she ran a 3.30h marathon with just a few weeks of trainig.

      I came back to the video. Got to say 8 glasses of water is hard. I try hard everyday and have finally reached 5 glasses. Extreme is 6. 8 is hard😅

    I personally try to get around a gallon in every day. Honestly isn't that much. It's wild to me how people have no problem downing a liter or two of pop, or a case of beer in a night, but can't drink a few glasses of water.

      A gallon? That sounds like too much. No one needs a gallon unless they are an athlete and/or sweat a lot. Even then, some of that gallon needs to be something that includes REAL (not just for taste) electrolytes. An easy way to tell if you are drinking too little or too much water? Your pee. If you are urinating more than 6 times a day and your urine is clear, you are drinking too much. If you urine less than that and it is dark yellow, you are drinking too little. So if you are drinking a gallon and your pee passes the "test" and you feel fine, then do you. If not, please reduce your intake. Drinking too much water does nothing but put more stress on your kidneys.

      maisara qamil 1-2 weeks is what I found.
      However do keep in mind eating greasy foods can cause this to not work as effectively.
      And once you stop you’re more likely to go back to the way before.

      I drink around 3-4 litres every day, but instead of making it a challenge and having to remember it, I just have a bottle of water on my desk and whenever I'm thirsty I just drink from it. Much easier.

      thepurplebindi in the beginning i only drank 8 glasses of water and lost that much weight but once i started exercising and eating healthier and drinking tons of water im now at 43 pounds lost ((:

    I rely heavily on straws, because I can just stare at a tv or watch a class lecture while just chugging. I would go through bottles without realizing it

    I drink a minimum of two liters (usually 4) a day. It's really not hard once you get in the habit.

      4L of water per day? that's too much and you probably don't need that much water, it's really not good for your kidneys, 2L of water is enough, not saying this to hate or anything just little advice from stranger on the internet :)

      I'm fairly active day to day and 2 to 4L of water is normal to me. I usually drink roughly 120 ounces of water per day, sometimes more depending on what I did during the day.

      the little prince I also drink 4 liters a day and consulted my doctor about it. She says it's totally since I eat a lot of veggies and fruits throughout the day. My kidneys are absolutely fine. No reason to worry :)

      Katharina D your body just doesn't need that much water tho, it's a waste, it only creates unnecessary work for your kidneys imo. drinking water is very healthy but everything should be done in moderation, staying hydrated is important but no one should over do it :)

    I learned that the 8 glass of water a day goes for glasses that will hold 8oz. That means that the standard amount of water we need per day is around 64oz. Which isn’t that hard when you think about it, because one large McDonald’s tea,I think, is 32oz so if you were to drink two of those filled with water then you’re good! I’ve been trying to do better with drinking water and this fact has really helped!

      Food stamps! If you qualify, (disability, no job, kids and low money, ect) its so much easier. My mom has a food stamp card and its so much easier for us!

    Try drinking through a straw! I carry around a liter water bottle (4 glasses) with a straw and I drink so much more! Sometimes around 3-4 liters (12-16 glasses)

    I drink between 4-7 bottles of water a day. 16.9 oz each. It's really not a lot if you just zone out & drink through out the day.

      I think I'm going to try to start with 4. I've already gotten to the part where I hardly want soda anymore (I probably have only 2 a month now; just have to work on actually drinking more water.

    So glad you posted this video Michelle! I drink 90-120 oz of water a day, but only started after I got really sick out of the blue (massive headache, vomiting, and tremors) turns out coffee, tea and poor diet choices can dehydrate you even if you are drinking water. I still drink coffee because I like it, but now instead of really bad headaches, I have developed a bladder of steel.

    The real problem for most people is bathroom breaks. "Oh no. It's 4pm and I've only drank half my water!" Any normal person would just chug the rest. But if you work in retail, education, or the service industry you can't just say "oh hold on I have to pee", so in those fields I've always been chronically dehydrated.

    I included drinking 3 litres of water in my 21 days challenge back in April , I remember those 21 days were really hard as I was going to toilet 8 or 9 times a day but I didn't gave up and believe me including the 3 litres of water in my 21 days challenge was the best decision I took. Now it's been almost 7 months and my digestive system is on fire. Drinking that sum of water helped in making my skin look healthier and all my internal organs are working amazing. It is gonna be hard in the starting but it is worth to take challenges like these.
    I've reached a stage where I don't really need to force myself to drink water and my subconscious mind as accepted drinking water as a habit.
    Also, the no. of times I go to the toilet is 3 to 4 times.

I mean I love drinking water and I can drink it enough if I wanted to but I just hate the fact that I always have to pee which results of me actually getting dehydrated because I dont wanna pee every minute esp in public without access to bathrooms sometimes 😭 maybe I should just be patient like you so that my body would get used to it too? Did your peeing frequency really decreased? Sorry if im intrigued its just that its one of my biggest health problem and im afraid that someday my habit of always holding my pee and not wanting to actually pee would result into something i just really hope nothing bad woukd happen 😭 i need a solution to this

      Notso Suspicious I read somewhere that your bladder is like a sponge, when it first gets water it just runs off the top and goes straight through you but once it starts getting more water, your bladder will absorb it and it’ll take longer to make its way through you. Sorry I don’t remember where I read this but I started trying to drink 4-8 bottles of water a day and at first I was peeing every hour but now I go 3-6 hours on average and I think it’s fairly normal. I drank 6 bottles at work and went to the restroom twice for reference

      Notso Suspicious I will suggest you to start small like 4-5 glasses of water and also when you feel you need to pee then just go for it because I read somewhere that Holding in large amounts of urine for an extended period of time also exposes your body to potentially harmful bacteria, which can increase yourchances of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI) or bladder infection. So start small and don't hold your pee.

    Really liked this video! Prior to moving to a high desert, I was literally a human camel with water intake, because ugh plain water. Recently, I bought a Berkey water filter system, a super portable glass bottle, and freeze body armor drinks in my ice cube tray. One or two cubes make a bottle go down easier! Love your channel!

    Im surprised how little water you drink considering you were a serious cyclist and all the exercise and all the different types of cardio you seem to do. 8 glasses should be about 2L of water and thats nothing. aim for 4!

    Please make sure you clean out those bottles when you reuse them, even if it's just water. The plastic leeches, and also retains bacteria.

    Chugging a bottle of water in the morning doesn’t help much with hydration though. It just goes right through you. Definitely try and have a glass in the morning but if you’re going to be drinking a whole bottle you should take like a good 20 minutes to drink it. So try just drinking water throughout your morning routine instead.

    I shoot for 4 liters a day because I read it helps reduce migraines. I try pretty much anything to reduce migraines.

      i suffer from migraines too--i used to get a couple a week. exercise, clean eating, and a gallon of water a day paired with less screen time has reduced my migraines to less than 1 a month (ugh periods). plenty of sleep works wonders, too!

      My friend had really bad migraines and was told that getting your daith pierced (area of your air that is connected to the area of your brain that triggers migraines I think) would solve the problem.
      She did and 5 months later she has went from having a few migraines a week to like 1 a month.

    Well collectively an healthy adult should have about 2 to 3 litres of water a day. Most forget that lots of whole foods actually already contain some portion of water in them so majority actually drink enough.

    I've been drinking around 8 glasses a day lately and have noticed the skin benefits for sure! My tip is drink a HUGE glass after you wake up. It gets the ball rolling and wakes you up really well. Drink a few glasses as the day goes on(have a water bottle with you) one big glass with dinner and then a huge glass before bed to finish the day. It really helps!

    For years I was dehydrated too. But it's mostly a habit that you have to change. For almost a full year now I'm drinking 3 liters (12 glasses) of water a day and it feels great!
    People, you can do this!

    8 cups of water per day really make a huge difference for me. I no longer have chapped lips which I used to have all the time before. My lips are always crusty looking and I would pick in my lips until its bleeding. And my skin looks waaaaaaaaay better now. It's glowing and no more dry flakes on my skin. This is my first week and a lot has changed for me😊❤

    It should not be 8 glasses a day for everyone... I even learned this in school. It is important to stay hydrated. Of course someone who is in hotter climate or who works out will need more water than someone who is sitting in an air conditioned room for 12 hours a day. It's kind of common sense.

    Drinking a full glass of water or a whole water bottle when you wake up is actually really good for your body because it starts your day off hydrated as well as really starting up your organs for the day. It also helps you feel fuller throughout the day

    Everyone is so different!
    Drinking more water has changed my life completely. A year and a half ago I started drinking over a gallon a day and since then I've lost almost 90 lbs, and I get dehydrated at the drop of a hat. My eyes dry out my nose dries out I get a headache. I've got to have water. It clears my skin, makes me feel amazing, and gives me so much more energy. It's literally my life blood!

    Try drinking lemon/grapefruit/mint water or lemon/strawberry water because it tastes amazing. Cucumber water is okay too but the other ones tastes way better (even lemon/raspberry lol). I would dilute it though because it’s really strong 🍋🍓🥒

    You should drink water when you feel thirsty. There isn’t a certain amount you should drink. I drink around 3 liters a day on an average day but more if I’m more active.

    I was told that you should drink half your weight in ounces. It's more accurate per person as opposed to the blanket "8 cups a day"

    They say your supposed to drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water. So if you weigh 200lbs you should drink around 100 oz of water or about 12 cups.

    Good for you! I've found that, personally, having one of my Nalgene water bottles within arm's each at all times to be quite helpful for helping me to remember.

    Technically it's 8 cups of water. It's not that hard. I usually drink 2 cups worth of tea before I eat, then 2 cups before and after lunch and then 2 cups before and after dinner. And in addition to working out I drink about 2 cups of water because it naturally makes me thirsty. Also, keep in mind that foods have water content. Don't stress out about it too much. You get thirsty whenever you're body signals that it needs more water.

    Keep up with it. It gets easier. 106 oz a day here. Flavoring helps. I have to drink from a fountain drink cup or a mug or a bottle, makes for easy transportation. For some reason I can not finish a single glass of water otherwise.

    At first most people aren’t use to it. But eventually you get the hang of it. Also some just don’t like it tasteless, so I recommend adding Crystal Light or some sort of 0 calorie thing for taste. You can also try drinking a glass every 1.5 hours.

    I'm glad you're informing people so many studies have been swayed by companies who pay them to say what to do so you go out and buy more of their water you should only drink when you're thirsty people think that that's how you get dehydrated but they are so wrong

    I bought a cool water bottle I WANTED to carry around with me, and having it with me has made all the difference! I've noticed if I have it in my hand or with me all the time I just drink it subconsciously. After the first couple weeks it becomes such a habit I don't even have to think about remembering it anymore. However, like you, when I don't have water for whatever reason and I instantly feel like a raisin. Thank you for reminding me to check my privilege to accessible drinking water, I'm going to change my Charity Miles charity to a water project based one next month :)

    I think diet also plays a big role in hydration and thirst! I never used to feel very thirsty, but I went vegan around 4 months ago and I think the massive increase of fiber in my diet has made my body need a lot more water for proper digestion. Now I easily drink 8 glasses of water per day, just from drinking when I’m thirsty. I definitely think how much water is healthy is determined on an individual basis from a variety of factors.
