The character dynamic between Snag and Rawhide is perfect. I was worried it'd be kind of like... dysfunctional. But its great to see that they're two little gremlins in harmony. With each other at least.
DAMN STRAIGHT. Very late 80's, 90's, and 2000's for me... THIS is the kind of cartoon we should be introducing to our kids too. May as well give em' the same epic vibes we had when we used to watch cartoons. For some reason this has nostalgia written all over and it's gonna b a true shame to let it end and go to waste.
This project shows off some delightfully good writing mixed with a cute & cool visual style flowing with expressive animation. *Long Gone Gulch shines as bright as a gold Sheriff's star.* Pin it to your chest and show it off like RawHide, cause this show's got enough spunk, style, and freshness to share with the whole Cartoon Saloon. Rating: A I'm as excited as Snag combing down his trashy mane with Rawnette to view the next episode in this soon to be series(I hope). A special thanks to Tara Bellinger Zach Bellisimo for seeing this project through.
@Skitzieworx Cringe isn't objective, but the multiple personally failed attempts at humor combined with the seriousness of the comment (highlighted and structured). That really does it for me as cringe in it's most basic forms is people trying to look cool and completely lacking self awereness.
He's may be a bit harsh and incompetent but at least he's trying to do his job. I feel sorry about him when he get brutally beat down in the whole episode. Pretty sure it's called torture porn and unquestionable funny but yeah I feel sorry for him, I mean even villains doesn't get beaten up as much as he is.
I am just discovering this now and I loved it !! The only regret I have is not discovering it sooner ! Indie animation is honestly where all the creativity is at, especially for adult animation. Congratulations to the team, you all did an amazing job !! I'm already attached to the characters ! I'll definitely watch this again :)
This literally is SO CUTE, the animation is beautiful, the art style is SO charming...This is bursting with personality and felt so much like shows I used to watch when I was a kid in the 2000s. Not to mention that the jokes were legit funny and wrung very genuine laughs from me. You guys seriously knocked it out of the part. Long Gone Gulch is a delight, and I can't wait to see more of it.
I think we all are underestimating Groggy (the green crab). Everyone in Mako's gang are being crazy and energetic and he's just... chilling like a villain.
Sure, but he's a criminal and he's on a lot of wanted posters. So yeah, I'd rather the "rude" kids arrest the freaking guy. It's not like authorities in real life care if it's a criminal's birthday and they're arresting them. Of course they're not gonna give them a free pass just cause it's their birthday.
I guess he's trying to pissed off Rawhide to reduce her attack's accuracy (like when she missed when she throw a goop at BW) but that's only work with ranged attacks so. . .
I check up on this channel every few months for updates, I still have high hopes for this to becoming an actual show. The art, writing and characters are just too good ❤
No joke we are in a new era of animation, led by indie projects on the internet. This is just the most recent example of that. The animation, voice acting, music, sound design, background design. Everything was great!
Uh no we’re really not. We just got more people doing more self independent web series than we did back then as teams and shit than rather using corporations.
And the only thing that stops that if people become horrible and shitty which tends to happen. A bunch of times but also good stuff happens when animation studios are made and careers are prosperous more than ever
I like the fact that this is so kid friendly. Hazbin and Helluva Boss are good but not a lot of things can pick it up and keep the original charm. This looks like it could go anywhere. Hope's someone who respects your vision and creativity can pick this up.
@Jarius Santiago Ok, how about we come to a compromise? You take your head out your ass and I continue with my life as usual not hurting anyone? Ok? Good.
Idk like even if HH was kid friend it takes place in hell, most shows that bring up any dark topic is just gonna get blasted to another dimension because parents act like kids seeing those kind of things are going to freak out or some shit
I love it. unexpected twists and turns at every turn. incredible grace and expression. animation is top notch. each character has its own well thought out personality. sensuality and dynamics of what is happening makes you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the cartoon with your head. very nice
I can only imagine how long something like this would take to produce- I can pop out maybe like 5 minutes in two weeks on my own if I’m able to work every day. I’m developing a serialized show on my channel and I’m starting to see why not a lot of people do that on UA-cam. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon but it definitely helps that my episodes are much shorter. The fact that this is over 21 minutes for a UA-cam show is extremely impressive.
This is proof that a webseries can be funny without saying the f word. Edit: This statement has haunted me for 2 years because it could be taken as a jab towards Vivzie's productions. I just wanna say that I don't hate her work, in fact I like it. It has some pretty good character depth
While not my usual type of cartoon, I'm not big into westerns, it's nice to see cartoons return to a 'form' of execution; Bright, colorful visuals, Detailed character designs, smooth 2d Animation and fantastic voice acting. The quality of this cartoon knocks out a ton of cartoons today... and really makes a mark on current network quality, making them look like trash by comparison. (Some, of course, not all.) 5 years in the making however, for a pilot, is not that appealing to corporate executives and I worry about the longevity of this project. I can only hope they can pursue a series if that's what they wish, because something this good in quality deserves praise.
@@BeckyNosferatu was it just 5 years on just the pilot? Or was it five years of working on the pilot PLUS other episodes? Full disclosure, I’m the new kid on the block, so I’m not very familiar with this project.

This pilot holds such a special place in my heart. I watched it for the first time on January 16th, 2021; The day after my mom died. Being able to focus on something else, something more fun even if for a while meant a lot to me. I bawled my eyes out at the scene of Rawhide sleeping on her dad’s grave. It meant a lot to me to see a character similar in age and personality to me also grieving a parent, it made me feel less alone. Thank you for making this wonderful animation, you made the worst days of my life a little better 💙

I'm getting very strong 90s/early 2000s Nicktoons vibes from this, which is awesome. Kind of a Rob Renzetti / Jhonen Vasquez / John Kricfalusi mashup of art styles, facial expressions, and body distortions. Except this animation is 10x smoother than anything you'd see back then. Amazing work!
@@nas0518 dude...its a show from the 2000's I barely remember beyond what the animation looked like and I think the character named Jack who I remember sounding a lot like the sidekick in this pilot. Really, I just didn't care enough to google the spelling because it wasn't a huge deal to me
@@cagefreeowl843 I actually found out that the voice actors were one and the same about an hour ago.
