Converiting a Bay Window to a Sliding Patio Door

- My House has an old rotten out bay window that overlooks my side yard. We have since moving in added a concrete patio below so that we could replace that bay window with a new sliding glass patio door and deck.

Wasn't the sliding door available in your height? Looks too low seeing you stand next to it.
It's off the shelf standard height. I just fit under it without ducking but people over 6'3" will have a bad time for sure.

Shoulda built a slide.
My brother in law did that and its awesome just not really a good fit for this house layout / esthetic. Plus kids have a slide 30 feet from there already ;)

Loud as all hell??!! My dad used to say that...alot. However, he would have liked your videos too.
At 12:08 .... is that an exhaust fan pipe .... trying to figure out what that is, as the bay was there before, so why would an exhaust fan pipe be routed there?
So that's how they did the baffles to vent the attic. Super dumb way to do it but that's the way it is.
@@DIYBuilds At least they did SOME venting... a long time ago I crawled through an attic adding ventillation to a 50 yr old house... never again. next time I hired a company to do it. Highly recommended.
