If it’s a quality tool, there’s never a good reason to use the max 450 heat especially when passing the iron through the hair and over the ends multiple times. People don’t realize how much heat damage they actually can cause to the hair.
Sleeke Hair Well it’s a huge misconception that people need to use the highest heat setting or higher than they need to achieve results. As a licensed stylist I’ve worked on all kinds of hair types and I know with a quality tool that isn’t the case. If fact my hair is thick, wavy and unruly (even more than in the video), and I generally keep my tool at 100 degrees less and get the same results. Also, even the tools that are the best for your hair will always still cause some damage, it’s inevitable, and even more so if you’re using it at max temp.

Other videos I've seen people say not to run the straightener more than 2 times cuz you're really damaging your hair that way, but you seem to do it several times over. Have you noticed (more) damage in your hair doing it a couple times vs several times?
