Thank you for all the hair knowledge you share with us. I was thinking that when we spray the heat protectant on ourselves, we can only go as far as arms length. It would be helpful if you could ask the model to carry out the routines on herself under your guidance so we can see the easiest way to do the routine on ourselves.

1- Always make sure your hair is bone dry before flat ironing. 2- Make sure there is no water in your heat protectant, if there is make sure your hair is bone dry before you use your flat iron. You don’t want your hair to sizzle the water away. 3- Use the comb chase method. This PREVENTS ironing in wrinkles in the hair. You’re welcome

I have thick curly/wavy hair naturally. I have mostly kept my hair blow dried but during covid I got very unwell and lost my hair due to illness. I ended up cutting it all (short jaw length bob) I missed my long healthy locks and discovered this man. His simple yet effective tips on hair health and styling saved my hair. I’ve been following Chris’ advice for over a year now and my hair is growing long (down to my shoulders now) the best part is it’s been trimmed only three to four times in a year but I’ve had no split ends and my hair is almost as thick as it used to be and glossy and gorgeous. I don’t flat iron anymore I still blow dry but with leave in conditioner, heat protection and hair oils. Listen to him everyone he is a master in hair care. I wish I could visit him but sadly I’m on the other side of the pond.

Another great vid! Just wanted to add: I recommend a PURE ceramic vs COATED flat iron. Coated ones are the dupes!! They don't evenly heat the hair evenly, and for beginners, will burn and dmg the hair since its actually just super hot metal underneath. They will also chip over time. Look for a flat iron that is solid ceramic:)

    Hi ,
Thank you for all your help.
In a previous video you said that putting oil after the leave in conditioner locks in the moisture and that’s what my hair needs the most. But putting oil again on the second or third day is only for additional shine if I remember well.
No here is what I do and I’d love to hear your thoughts. I bought oil and leave in on your recommendation, I have colour treated, fine and very dry hair.
On the second or third day, I spray the leave in conditioner again on my dry hair and follow it by a little oil. It works really good, the second layer of conditioner is not weighting down my hair.
English is not my mother tongue so sorry for any mistakes 😊

Hey Chris, please make a video about dealing with dandruff and how to combine dandruff products (like Nizoral) with your hair routine! I’ve been using your product recommendations for shampoo, leave in conditioner, and oil treatments and my hair definitely feels better, but I still have to use Nizoral or my dandruff gets out of control. I usually mix in a pump of Nizoral with my first round of shampoo, let it sit for 5 mins, then do another round of shampoo without Nizoral and continue as normal. What do you think of this routine? Thanks!!

    • @PixPix22
      @PixPix22 Рік тому

Nizarol isn't meant to be used that often. You're also meant to apply it by itself on the scalp and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse and condition. If you need it more than a couple times a month, it's a good idea to consult your doctor, either for a stronger prescription strength, or a different cause for your dandruff, such as allergies. I had terrible dandruff, and I finally found Nizarol 20 years ago. After the first use, I used it a few times once a week, and then maybe a couple times a month, at most. A bottle lasts forever. I also only use a shampoo bar on my hair once a week, but I condition my hair every time I shower. I don't have any dandruff now. Best of luck!

It's so hard for me to hold the comb & the flat iron ( old timers! ) I held onto that tool till it could no longer heat up 😢. No matter what store I'm in, Im ALWAYS searching & praying for a flat iron with that attachment. I'm always steering away from the thinner flat irons but I'm noticing that there are more skinnier irons then wider ones. Is there a big difference? Is one better than the other?

I straighten my medium denier, 3B curly hair with a ceramic flat iron at 395 degrees. I would never use titanium on my hair as it can easily and mistakenly damage wave, curl and coil patterns. I only ever use 1 pass (always after blow drying first) while moving it at an even moderately slow and even speed down the lengths of the hair. I never have a problem using ceramic and it always lasts. I use silicone and it stays water and humidity proof as well for days. Titanium transfers heat way better than ceramic yes, but its potential to damage curl pattern is high, so if you like to wear your natural texture it's not worth the risk unless you are very experienced with a titanium styling tool. Of course if you never wear your natural texture, titanium is the way to go, as over time it will loosen that texture and make it easier to straighten.

Now I swim every day and I would love to know what to do with my hair. I know a few of us have asked.
When I swim: I wash, condition, then use leave-in conditioner, and then I use some random Garnier curling cream and let it air dry.
The curling cream makes my hair feel better when I brush it once dry. But I'd love to have a proper routine.
Chlorine is awful and I don't know how to deal with that. But this is the best routine I've come up with so far.

Hi Chris, I just started using Redken 11 Thermal Spray, but I find you have to press down on the nozzle hard to get that “fine mist”. This is really challenging to do on yourself - Instead of a fine mist, I can only press down hard enough to make it come out more like a concentrated stream. I tried to brush it through, but my hair feels gross 😢 would love if you could show some videos of people using this product on their own hair.

So refreshing with the less is more approach, it’s hard to navigate through the hair product jungle out there… QUESTION: do you have a recommendation for a leave in conditioner besides the pureology? I can’t find it in Sweden (except for very overpriced online). I have fine hair without any bleach or colouring (but very dry and fragile, also I don’t have a lot of hair). I would so much appreciate a recommendation from you (or someone else with similar hair type)

Honestly, throwing out my dyson (I know) was the best thing I ever did for my thin, super curly/frizzy hair. I no longer even need a flat iron most days, unless it’s very very humid. And even then I only flat iron the day I blow dry. I use to flat iron twice a day for my curly front pieces. And yes they were completely broken off. I also washed every day due to frizz and my hair curling up after sleeping. My front pieces have grown out soooo much I no longer have to do that either. It’s amazing.

Great info. I have a natural wave in my hair but I prefer it to be straight which I am trying to grow it longer. It’s anywhere from shoulder length in the front to a little longer in the back. Problem is when I wake up in the morning my hair is somewhat crazy, areas stick out and so forth. I have tried putting my hair in a ponytail and also just let it loose but it still does crazy things. Therefore, leaving me to flat iron often breaking my ends off and preventing hair to grow longer. I always use heat protectant Redken 11 but it only helps so much if at all. I also take medications for health issues. Please “help” with any advice… Thanks so much and love your videos.
