One of the all time best "alt" rock bands of the 1990's! These guys REALLY added soul to the loud guitar landscape of 90's indie rock and it worked! REALLY WELL! So Stoked for this Rundown! The Whigs have always had GNARLY album cover art...but to add it to the cabs...So rad! \m/
I gave Dave Rosser a pedal that I have built when they was in Stockholm a couple of years ago. He used it in studio mostly. A real nice person, we sort of became friends right away. Too sad he passed away so early. Fun to see Afghan Whigs in the Rig Rundown! Thanks
"We don't have a ton of time and you guys have a ton of gear…" results in awesome one hour rundown with some awesome gear and cool down to earth artists! Rock on!
Never cited as virtuosic but the Whigs have such sonically mastered guitar parts. It was funny watching them try to express enthusiasm going over Dulli’s pedalboard....some tasks are too much to ask....
@2:30 honestly the best part of locking tuners isn't stability (that has just as much to do with how well the nut is carved) but locking tuners make string changes a breeze. like seconds instead of minutes
I got all the best gear.... vintage..custom...rare.. awesome stuff...but of course you can't take that all to the gig so l got an ALDI guitar ( six string electric) and just plug direct into a solid-state Taiwanese karioke station. NOW I sound just like everyone else including EVH , Eric and Pagey.... .. those guys will never tell you that.
i have never seen a revstar in that color it's like the color red you would find on a SG or 335 AND IT IS SO COOL!!!!! if yamaha don't do it in this color they need to start RIGHT NOW!
Actually guitar gear in Norway costs pretty much the same as i the US these days. Thanks to the internet, importers can't charge huge mark-ups anymore :-)

i guess I'm quite randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream new series online?
@Ronnie Castiel I would suggest flixzone. You can find it on google :)

Premier Guitar..I cannot tell you how thankful I am for you putting this Rig Rundown together..!!!
Rock on...!
Thanks for watching!
This is awesome. Much respect how humble, sincere and down to earth these guys are. Also a great job by the interviewer.

my favorite rig rundown. love the whigs!
“1965” is my jam too, brother! The Afghan Whigs watermark, in my opinion.🎸🇺🇸
Stoked that John actually demoed some of his pedals instead of just talking about them.
Afghan Whigs... wow! Well done PG!!
i'm just happy there's been two Rick basses in the recent rig rundowns
lol
Hometown boys! I have recorded at the bass players now defunct studio countless times! John Curly super nice guy
Great rundown! Still so stoked that Jon has my White Fuzz on his board - priceless!
Killer sounding fuzz!
Sounds so good!!! \m/
You make that? Right on. One of my favorite fuzzes.
Love that Twilight Singers album...great interview!
This was awesome. Didn't know this group before and the interviewer did an awesome job. Knows his stuff and asked great questions.
WOW! what a great set of tones by the first guitarist jon! that's like a desert island pedalboard for me.
This is amazing - thanks!

Interesting pedal arrangement and a ton of tones, killer.
Great Rig Rundown Perry!
That Les Paul - inches behind Perry's back. This was some edge of seat suspense waiting for it to fall over.
really love those double cut Yamahas guitars. especially the black vintage super rare to find
of course love Les paul and Rickenbaker bass
Very good host n guest, thanks for doing it
I do enjoy those Rig Rundowns, but as a drummer it was nice to see Patrick Keeler's drum set! So classy!
Great Review, I really appreciate Premier Guitar!!!!!!
Love this band!
Great fookin band!! Thanks guys.

That white Rick looks freaking gorgeous, man, you don’t see that finish all that often

It's cool when it's the actual musicians themselves who show their rigs.
Awesome 👌🏻 👏🏻 👍🏻 😍
Only Greg Dulli would have a pedal with Ass, Gas and Grass knob settings...
that yamaha is one of the coolest looking guitars
Whig Rundown
Dude, love Twilight Singers, love Powder Burns!!
i thought this was EHX demo for a moment
TheZooropaBaby not the same dude?
I was sure he was the same dude
it is same dude :)

Good interviews
This guy is the best interviewer.
That little riff from 9:50 to 9:59, what song is that from?
Can Rova from the album Do To The Beast.
ZSab0 Thx man. I didn’t know this band b4 this rig run down and that little riff gave me a chill. Pretty sweet
22:33 - can someone explain this device to me? You press the button and it changes the tuning to D...and it's actually in tune?
You guys gotta do a Foo rig rundown
We've tried several times, but they're not interested. Thanks for the suggestion!
Snobs primadonna and "guitaristically" not interesting enough though...
I think it would be kind of interesting. Chris Shiflett looks like he has a pretty cool board.
mojotone!!!!
Moogerfooger murf for synth bass too
everything is stock... I switched out the pickups, tuners and wiring...lol cool looking lp
Rickenbacker transforms into a Jazz bass at 18:11
Love me some Twilight
Boss bass octave for synth sounds
"yeah it's pretty much stock, except for everything"
Whig Rundown.
Perry is really good at interrupting!
So ahh, Greg Dulli doesn't play guitar anymore?
Oh yeah, there's more video
Viva La Rosser!
wow this is thought about way to much, not me Afghan WHigs
please rig rundown of ghost
Why would someone thuimbs down this???? Would have been nice to see Greg, but oh well....
because the whole thing was focused on marketing
Less EHX than I expected...
do turnstile!!!!!
the violin and cello don't get any love why ??? awesome rig rundown
Doesn’t like locking tuners? Lol ok
