You are so smart! Very useful techniques and well explained. Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks for the compliment.
Thank you so much, you are the only person who has posted videos about how to sew on lace fabric. This is exactly what I needed to learn to finish a lace bridal gown for a client. A thousand thank yous! Look forward to your other video tutorials on working with lace in the future.
I am 59 and just learning. I appreciate how patient you are in showing all the details.
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm working with lace for the first time, so this was invaluable to me!
You communicate so well. As a beginner sewer I find it invaluable. Thanks so much.
You are so welcome Nigel! Sew happy you enjoyed the tutorial.

ok, you are an amazing teacher. better than alot if teachers on Craftsy. You should be on Craftsy. My conclusion after only 3 minutes.
Thank you for the compliment LoniLovesLife.
Me too, when it's done properly it looks fantastic.
Thank you for sharing how to cut, sew and match lace
You’re welcome Ayani😊
Thank you. As for sewing sequin fabrics, work with the design of the fabric. If they fall into a seam, remove them before sewing. Hope that helps a little.
what a very brilliant idea i really admire your ideas in sewing. thanks a lot
Very well done. You have a gift for teaching! Thanks!
Thank you so much.
This series is a lifesaver! Need a little help, though. After I've done the two rows of straight stitching between the motifs, and stitched the motifs down on the right side of the garment, what do I do about the seam allowance in the mesh area? Is that the purpose of the two rows, so as to cut very close to the stitching? I've looked at every lace applique seam technique on the net, and yours is, by far, the most helpful! You're a gifted teacher!
Yes, cut close to the stitching. It's a delicate process make sure you take your time but the results will be worth it. Thank you for taking the time to comment Martha.
Thank you so much, always happy to help.
Haha, when it's eventually finished I may wear it in a future tutorial to show it off.
Thank you. My pleasure.
Great tutorial!!! Thank you for taking the time to post it! :)

Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial. Can you please tell us how to work on satin or silk or lace garment with crystals embellishments. Is it done after making the garment or before? What about the lining in that case? Thanks
Thank you, you're very kind.
Wonderful, as always!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It's very helpful. Do you have any pointers on sewing sequined fabrics? Thanks!
No problem, thanks.
Brilliant!👍. Don’t forget there’s invisible thread. am worried about how to put lace next to zipper
Re-watch the tutorial a couple more times, and practice on some spare fabric.
I'll be doing more lace tutorials in the new year, but as of yet, there are no plans to show the making of this particular top.
This is very helpful. Thank you.
Glad I could be of help Just Judifer! Thanks for commenting.
Happy to help.
Thanks for the help but now I'm trying to figure out how to make a back closure for a lace bodice. It is a bolero top to a wedding dress. Thanks
There are many options you could choose and will all depend on the effect you're looking to achieve.
Thank you.
I'll certainly bear your request in mind for a future tutorial. Thank you.
Do you use this technique for sewing guipure lace? Thanks for the video. It's very helpful.

Thank you so much for this video! 😁 this is a beautiful technique. I do have a question. Would you do a seam finish on the inside for the straight part you sewed? Or is it not necessary due to the net fabric
Yes you can do a seam finish, for example a closed seam. Thanks for commenting and your question Jenn B.
정말 존경합니다.

Thank you Simone.
do not have money to buy a dress so I am going to make a dress out of lace. I could not remember if to cut with the embossed print on the outside or the embossed inside out? Please help
I prefer to cut with the embossed on the outside, so that I can get a more accurate look at the behaviour of the pattern design.Thank you for commenting Mary Moore.
thank you for your response you really helped me thank you Mary
nice tutorial. pls where do you get your applique fabrics? thanks
+tamera.O Thanks! It as been in my fabric stash for years I'm not sure!
question do you remove the net in between the label flowers or just on the edges
Once you have placed the flowers in position, remove the required amount of netting, or just on the edges. The objective is to achieve a seam less look when joining. Thank you for commenting supernatural child of God.
Красиво!
How do you handle seams in lace fabric where the motifs are further apart?
If the motifs are further apart, you are probably better off using a french seam. The trick with working with lace is to have a continuous flow of the design in the fabric, so that you cannot see the seaming easily. But where there is large spaces between the motifs the best option is to sew beautiful french seams.
Thank you for taking the time to comment Weston.
k u i just subscribed too :-)
But isn't the point of Lace Appliqué to eliminate a visible seam? I'm confused by this method :/
There are many methods and my example is but 1.

Accepted. . But not good enough. . There's got another clean finishing for haute couture standard. Seam should be invisible. .
