I have a slightly different POV on gold..I gambled for years, was never in no debt and gambled only what i could afford but fell out of luck for a quite a long period of time. That took a toll on my mental health as i became increasingly frustrated and angry. One day i decided instead of placing a bet I would order a gold bar... And I kept on doing that, which not just helped me divert my mind off gambling but also literally prevent me gamble, because it is almost impossible to instantly turn gold into cash flow and then squander it on bets.. So yes it is a fantastic way to save money.
You've got your head screwed on! When I was your age, and even 25 years later I was still pissing every penny up the wall. Just started collecting silver 1oz Brits, got 20 oz now and not stopping...I look at one average night in the pub now as another ounce wasted. You finished with some very wise words aswell.
Reckon it's worth doing buy to let's in this day and age? I've got a horrible feeling our future governments will make it harder and harder for us to be landlords (unless you are BlackRock/vanguard etc)
Great information mate, it's all a good saving sceam for me as I've only started this year but I have put all my time and money into it and I've already got a lot to show for it, it's better than wasting money on things I didn't see or would have no returns on so very proud of myself for keeping my head down and just getting on with it, as I was no good with saving money, health's better ad I don't drink or smoke anymore, just buy the shiny stuff now days 👍

Good question. Usually I would say no. It’s better to have time in the market, rather than trying to time the market. Hope this helps.
