  • Welcome to our full review of the Justin Ternes Jawnt in Dark Arts construction - JT calls the Jawnt his "Speed egg", but carries a lot of characteristics of a mid length.
    I have been riding mine in the stock 6'8 x 21 x 3 = 42L
    From darkartssurf.com/collections/...
Known as JT’s high performance speed egg, this sleek midlength outline, low rocker board with vee, allows you to take the wheel and fully engage with the wave.
This is a great “all around” surfboard for beginner to advanced surfers. The tri-fin setup lends to added maneuverability, drive and control through turns so you can cover more face on the wave.
The “JAWNT” has a refined foil for optimum paddling and is a nice option for longboarders for when the surf bumps up to head high-plus. Usually ridden a foot longer than you are tall.
Pair it with our new Dark Arts Futures Fins.
In the Jawnt I primarily rode the new Dark Arts Thruster set by Futures Fins
    From futuresfins.com/products/dark...
The Dark Arts fiberglass thruster set is a large size Speed Controlling fin with a Ride Number of 3.8. We collaborated with the team at Dark Arts to develop a neutral template that features a thinner tip and smaller center fin for a perfect blend of speed control and release when you need it.
    Template Category - Neutral (all-around | versatile)
    Construction - Fiberglass
    Ride Number - Speed Control - 3.8
Suggested Wave Type - All types | All conditions
    Size - Large (165+ lbs)
Thanks for checking out our full review of the Justin Ternes Jawnt in dark Arts - be sure to check us out @thesurfboardguide on Instagram to get across all we are doing and what boards we are checking out!
Thanks to Justin and the full crew at JT and Dark Arts for the opportunity!

My issue with darks arts actually all black deck boards is that in warm waters and sunny days you literally can’t keep wax on the board 🤷🏽‍♂️. However great job Craig👍🏽

I see your point, but in the water it should be fine. I just wouldn’t leave it in the sun 😂

Thanks for another amazing review Craig! How does the dark arts tech feel compared to the hayden's future flex?

I’m not sure how to answer that… it’s been a while since I rode an HS FF, but I just picked up a new one last week. So maybe ask me in a few weeks time!

So much for being tough as. I can see theres a few foot dents in that deck. It looks very much like a hypto krypto step up to me especially the tail.

      Hey!
Of course there are pressures, boards that don’t pressure under your feet are weird…
If you watch the initial thoughts clip on this I put out a few weeks earlier, I talk about pressure dents etc in more detail.

Dark Arts is an Aviso 2.0 carbon fiber take ........ Look into Coil Alien Tech Surfboards out of Florida (golf ball like and not dark like Dark Arts and blows away Libtech that to me feels dead) .......

Wasn’t Aviso hollow? I rode a Lost RNF in Aviso and I’m pretty sure they were hollow…
