I think your cuurent populations main demand is a reduction in the frequency of raw sewage based tidal waves.
Now that is a cursed sentence both in context and out of context
Turdal* waves you mean
Yup
Not really an issue IMO
You mean turdal waves
"Why build a hospital when you can build a sauna?" Sounds like an architect question, to me.
"why are there so many dead people??"
He has slowly but surly been loosing his way.
Permitting is much easier for a sauna. We should just do that instead of the hospital.
When you work 16hr/day to design a nice and comfortable and useful hospital and even spend 1 year on the all hospital rooms design and ... To everyone there feels a bit better "AS AN ARCHITECT"
then see this comment ...
I know this is joke but sometimes its hurt :(
@@raminzvr6976 awww poor architect do you want a hug?
No but in all seriousness most of us have no reason to actually dislike architects and are just propagating RSE nonsensical hatred of your kind. Don't feel bad. If you work really REALLY hard you can become a civil engineer and then you can make fun of architects too! Isnt that fun?
Engineer: "The architects are evil and cause trouble"
Also Engineer: Kills entire city multiple times trying to punish architects
Sacrifices must be made. A good leader knows this.
torture was way worse than killing instantly HAHA
That is what we call collateral damage.
Well of course. It's not "just" the architects, you have to punish the society that allowed them to exist and flourish, otherwise who knows what other kind of evils such a society might spawn....maybe they'd elect a former child actor/current Televangelist as their Mayor, and have all the policing done by Mormons.
When you live long enough to become the villian.
RCE, as a software developer I take offense to being grouped with the form-over-function architects.
My kind are more typically known for horrible, nigh-unusable user interfaces than fancy, sparkling things. Not that the interface is technically unusable, you just don't know how because you're not the developer.
Anyway, software developers also have many other names. One of which is software engineer. Thank you very much, sir. :D
also, how would engineers work without software developers, they need more respect
They accidentally hired architects for that software building. Must also be development for architect software.
You're not wrong Johnathan.
I'm not sure I trust the software devs in that buildling any longer.
ikr? i mean it's in the name, software engineer, but i guess we're finger drawing architects now
Designers are the architects of software development.
This just in: City Skyline devs in shambles when RCE called their Software Production Studio an architect's hangout
I though it was where Xbox games were made.
PDX
I love how Matt always targets the Architects to make them suffer, but ends up destroying half of Engitopia 😂
Architects make everyone suffer 😅
A sacrifice well worth making
It is for the best
What is the hustle with all the architects thingy? lol
A small price to pay for salvation
RCE: *puts sinkhole on the only cemetery*
Also RCE: "Why are all these dead bodies piling up?"
Well, now there's a nice big hole people can be dumped in.
I keep coming back because he says "hello fellow engineers" and since I'm not an engineer it makes me feel good
That's a mood right there 😂
Awh 😂
I feel you
We're all engineers at heart (at least)
I wish I was an engineer. I think I have the knowledge to become one
RCE is truly a 1950s american engineer. Extreme segregation, highways going trough the middle of cities, car dependency and all. It's awful, but you gotta respect that, it takes a lot of effort
You know he’s British
@@ballooncoast848 and do you also know that if you compare your brain to a nut, the nut would still be bigger?
@@ballooncoast848 - No shit. We also know he isn't from the 1950's either! It was an analogy rather than a literal statement 😂
@@notyourbusiness7368
What is your comment about?
dont forget the turdal wave
I'm always so amused when I go from watching a City Planner Plays video of this game to a Real Civil Engineer video.
It makes me so happy to see the differences these 2 industry professionals' way of thinking.
"Oh look we get a bridge. How did that make people unhappy." - Every interstate developer cutting off poor communites in the US.
Matt: Why is so many buildings ruined?
Also Matt: Sends a meteor on the city
A meteor... was like 3 meteors rather xD
More like 3 meteors, a sinkhole just outside, and one directly in it, which alone caused so much damage.
@@LawrenceOakheart ahh yeah forgot the sinkholes xD
@@LawrenceOakheart also turdal waves as side effects
Don't forget people, the E in Matt stands for Engineer. Luckily there is no A in there....
The M stands for Motorway
And the two t's, if flipped horizontally, and squinting really hard, looks like the strongest shape.
A for Angineer
3:57 Matt: "It likes an architectural building."
Me, a software ENGINEER:
**IN RAGE**
Hmm building a volcano full of sewage and then flooding it with a meteor.
I wonder why that sounds so familiar.
Must have been something I saw when I was in west Virginia
Almost heaven
A few items
1. Pumping stations can help you clean up the flooding without a sinkhole may want to look into them
2. Road maintenance buildings can fix the roads without replacement
3. Deathcare is required to get rid of bodies may want to build a bunch of crematoriums
I believe the issue with there being no demand for industry in the new area is due to the massive oil farm. He should remove like half of the massive oil farm to create demand for the new industrial area.
I think Matt figured out the ultimate water purification answer-sink hole fill in. The poo water was brown when it sank, and clear when it resurfaced.
*stink hole 😛
That's actually a way people used to deal with poop
They would just dig a big hole and everybody would poop in it and they would fill it in
@@BlazRa Yay for bottomless seepage pits.
@@geisr8392 "Bottomless Seepage Pits" would be a kickass punk band name.
@@BlazRa San Francisco could take a lesson in this.
I think most of the people just left your city because they heard that you bring architects back - definetely not due to the tidal wave
At this point it'd be more shocking if there wasn't a knob in one of these
That's what she said! 😛
Just look at the roads there are so many 😂😂😂
*giant, knob-shaped terrain on the horizon after Matt tells us he learned more about terrain editing tools*
Matt: How did you get there?
"That will collect the 'drinking water' for the architects" - I almost spat out my tea, goddamnit, haha.
Now waiting for the movie versions: "Turdnami", "Turdnado" etc.
All those bridges and the new industrial area look like an architect gone mad with power to my engineering eyes.
RCE in all other games: *plays seriously*
RCE in Cities:Skylines:
Uh... He plays seriously in other games??
@@thomasphillips885 Definitely MORE seriously than in Cities: Skylines
I am pretty sure the way to increase demand is by providing for your citizens needs (aka go bonkers with parks, cemeteries, fire stations, etc. A way to tell what your city really needs is by the blue bird at the top of the screen)
Title is wrong “cities skylines”
I think their current main desire is a reduction in the frequency of raw sewage based tidal waves.
When twitter tells me whst awards my town has recieved for the billionth time instead of telling me thst an entire neighbourhood has no power
offices also count as "industry" in CS, so there might be too many jobs in the city to be building more industry
It's almost certainly the huge oil industry
I feel like the series devolved from “Real professional civil engineer” to “Real ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL, Civil Engineer.”
@@quinnN7 the interchange was too strong
@ 10:09
that genuinely looks like an industrial zone layout near my area......
You could raise the poopcano floor a little under the future bridge so the game lets you build one for the architect island. Not the entire crater, just enough for the bridge to happen.
chanelling his inner RTGame, wondered how long it would be before a meteor was sent to the poocano
An awesome way to start basketball practice!! I love your videos and found you on a whim!! We love RCE ❤️
2:55 its not a tidal wave, its a turdal wave
RCE has a good humor!
I really hope you've seen RTGame's version of this. It's EXTREMELY funny.
I was expecting Country Roads to start before the meteor....then i realised...wrong channel.
"Meteor of size 5.5" without the unit, I would be very, very concerned.
I love how rce went from an engineering expert in his vids to a normal UA-camr 🤣
"There's a church under poo water"
Holy shit that's grim.
Wondering when he realizes there is a university of engineering
Engineer seeing all of the bridges: "omg I have to try every one!"
Engineers wife: "please don't"
I can confirm that the above is correct behaviour of an engineer.
Outside of all the weeners, this is awesome content.
Fun fact of the day: The definition of an architect.
Architect
noun
1.
a person who is qualified to design buildings and to plan and supervise their construction:
"an architect takes into consideration all of the constraints involved in building a house"
2.
a person who designs hardware, software, or networking applications and services of a specified type for a business or other organization:
"we are seeking an experienced software architect to join our scientific computing team"
verb
1.
design and configure (a program or system):
"few software packages were architected with Ethernet access in mind"

dad's gotta go destroy some architects. how wholesome

Delete the oil area!! To increase industry demand u need to scrap the other industrial zone!
"theres no electrical water here" Matt, theres a difference betwwen fresh water and water that electrocutes u
12:50 Nice architect roads!
I wonder how he comes up with the shapes for the new streets.
Oh fuck, I hadn't noticed all the cocks! This is like the ending of Superbad
Imagine being a alien coming to earth and this is what you see.
The only alien I know of that comes down to earth in a meteor is Deoxys...
@@lexo632 technically not in a meteor, but along with a meteor rain, Kal-El.
Pleaaassseeeee upload more of these. People clearly want more city building videos. The views show this clearly
2:44 "That is a _turdal_ wave"
Ok, can't get over that one, thanks
Imagine the town's reaction
Town: Oh no a meteor is coming down. Please not the poopcano anywhere but there...
Meteor:
Town: What another one? They say thunder never strikes twice maybe it'll be the same for meteors too...
2nd Meteor:
If I had a dollar for every time I have seen someone launches a meteor into a poo volcano I would have two dollars. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.

Okay I wasn’t the only one to catch that 🤣🤣🤣
@@notorioustap5100 🤣
having flash backs......County Road keeps playing in my head...but I cant remember why....Poo Volcano?
If I learned anything, it's that engineers want to draw dongs for all road layouts. I approve of this.

I can hear the country roads playing as I open this video
10:05 “A perfectly realistic, normal layout.” 🍆🌶🥐🥖🦴😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💀
It seems like the turdal wave from the poocano ran through your city more like a poonami in my opinion!! Love it though
In real life this meteor could've ruin half of the earth
It didn't seem to be going that fast
All the poo cushioned the impact. 😂
to have unlimited oil you should go into settings and mods and switch on unlimited oil and ore and then it should hopefuly work!
To spike industry demand you should build more shops and houses .
At first I thought there was no way you were really a Real Civil Engineer, but then I realized that only a true Real Civil Engineer would be motivated to take revenge on cities like this
You just said what every Engineer in the world wises that they could say " daddy has too destroy some Architects"
I love the difference between RCE's and Sam Burr's 'real city planner plays Cities Skylines' methods.
Your newly redesigned strongest shaped area needs a water feature.
See for reference: Legacy Park in Brambleton, Virginia here in the USA
Oh, I get it. It's shaped like a weenie.
This is my favorite dystopian TV show
This really is an Almost Heaven moment
Real Civil Engineer: They are feeling a little sick ill I don't know why.
Real Civil Engineer looking at the whole poo sea and pumping the poo as drinking water.
Me: Poo water
I believe this channel has been taken over by an architect, and they are slowly steering the content toward "architect friendly" material.
Glad he told that meteor to mind the windmill! It might've hit it if it wasn't warned
putting the drinking water next to the sewage was a nice touch
Why does everyone make a poop volcano in this game?
Because power

Considering the frequency of poodal waves, you may consider "accidentally" triggering a few sinkholes around the outside of the city that should help catch any wayward water flows in the future (think of it as a dotted/incomplete moat of sorts?). Also, in light of the incompetence of the hospital only treating 16 patients (must be run by architects), a huge area of land dedicated for just cemeteries (a mega cemetery if you will) may be a good investment.
cities skylines are really your best videos in my opinion mate, i’d love for you to upload them more, you’ve earned a sub
