- We've done one thousand years in Asia & Europe now I want to try and do 1,000 years in North America! We're starting out by dropping a few humans in random places on the continent and seeing where the civs they develop end up in 1,000 years.

I have it on mobile and got the subscription and made a world and it has "lore" but it's not that good but I don't have the money for the steam one so I can get mods and worlds

No way whoever made the map forgot Central America, The Caribbean, Nunavut’s main islands, Vancouver Island, Newfoundland and PEI 😭 also at 1:29 , the northern areas are actually territories 🤓

So I say this because this is probably bothering a couple of people that know their geography correctly. A colony is an occupied area of a kingdom or republic that is outside of the main sphere of influence of said kingdom. an example is grade Britain occupying India, India isn’t anywhere close to Britain, therefore making it a colony. If the occupied peaceful land is connected to the main kingdom, it is a province so if an occupied area by a kingdom is not connected to the kingdom By territorial link, it is a colony and if it is connected to the main kingdom by territorial link and it is a province. So can you please start using it correctly? It’ll probably show that you know more what you’re doing and it’ll make it look smarter.
A colony is just either a settlement (the original meaning) or a land outside the State generally from other culture that is being dominated by it.
An example of a colony inside the main sphere of influence of a Kingdom is Ireland, it was colonized while being right next to England and Scotland (its colonizers in both aspects).
Arguably you could also extend to definition of colony to include things inside the de jure State like post 1801 Ireland and russian central asia.

/Technically/ it was Labrador. I know it’s apart of the province Newfoundland and Labrador, but it would only make sense to call that Newfoundland if this map had border established political systems in place to recognize that land as part of N&L

This is literally mainland NA what you on about the islands are the only bit missing but thats deliberate
Sometimes the caribbean islands and the isthmus are considered central america
The biomes aren’t very accurate either. Mexico isn’t 100% desert there are jungles too, and Florida isn’t the only place with swamps.
