Interesting to see Bradley and Montgomery playing nice. They were not terribly fond of one another. Interesting to see Bradley decorating British officers and men. Love old WW2 footage.

Served with the 4th armored in peace time Germany 1959, 60, 61. Always knew that this was Patton’s favorite armored division. “Name Enough “ is the motto for this outfit.

    This footage is something!
The title says Omar. Bradley gives medal to British Officer, however, this is not merely a giving of medals, as the accompanying British Officer is no other than Bernard Montgomery himself!
If you look at the presented, as all of them are with airborne beret, I suspect that this formation to be the 6th airborne, "Red Devils".
First man to be given the medal looks to be Sir Richard Gale, GOC 6th Airborne Div.
The second officer, with the rank of Brigadier, is probably Allan Adair, GOC Guards Armoured. If this is so, I believe this should be a rare footage of him in motion picture.
Also, you can see General Bradley talking to a Welsh Guardsman towards the end.
and btw, added bonus, Bradley with a pair of specs!

The 4th Armored Division is considered by the Germans as the American version of Rommels Panzerdivision.
Due to their reputation, this Armored Division saw more engagements against SS Panzergrenadier Divisions and the Panzerlehr several times than other US Armored Divisions and they were good at their jobs to beat the crap out of them.
Then the Germans began to think that they were engaging one Panzerdivision themselves that can only be led by Rommel, but they were Americans.

Too bad you had to put your little camera logo in the corner. Otherwise, this is great stuff!
