Quick note though anyone doing this too @10:59 you can see the rear spring is put on the wrong way around and causes the cog to scrap against the spring, make sure the longer end attaches to the shoe with the c-clip! I think you are right but i dont think it actually touched the wheel or would cause any issues, I was able to adjust it with no problem. Good thing you mentioned this, thanks
At 9:36 the springs u out n is wrong. The fat end is Opposite. Looking at it the spring part is supposed to be on the right shoe in the long neck is on the left shoe and allows compensation for the adjustment screw
you are correct, another viewer caught it also but since I was able to adjust the shoes without binding or other issues I didnt caught it myself and that van is still out and about with working rear brakes. thanks for catching that.
Very good video to watch. Very thorough in the details . 👌. Would it be the same for a nissan nv200 2012. I imagine it'll be the same or similar. Overall its a great informative lesson on rear brake shoes.

Great video the only thing I would add is the adjusters are opposite. You spin the closest side to you down on both of them..

No, you have to adjust them yourself.

Do you need to replace the drum always also?
not always, it all depends on the drums shape or smoothness on the inside but in this case these drums were in bad condition.

Nah this is not working for me... got everything in but the new drum will not go on.
check your work, maybe the shoes didnt seat right or maybe the parts store got you the wrong drums.
Same here. New drums wont fit back on and neither will the old drums.
