- I have very little experience with electric cars, however as this is the way things are going these days, I was keen to have a go in Audi's e-tron GT. Fair to say, I was quite suprised by the experience.

Great video. Was lucky enough to drive the same spec Vorsprung demo car recently and what an astonishing car it is. As Audi’s halo car, it’s too much of a jump money wise from my B9 S4 at the minute but in time, with a bit of depreciation on an ex demo model, I’d be sorely tempted. The electronic ‘whine’ is cool (but starting up the S4 after the extended test drive did reaffirm what I’d have to sacrifice to go down the EV route). Keep up the great work on the content 👍🏻

The other day I had to take a Corsa-e ( I'm a photographer at a Vauxhall dealer) to pick something up. even with only 136BHP on the motorway I was quite impressed! I could feel the added weight but it was no slouch. I cant imagine what one of these would be like! great content Joel!

I went from a big diesel to a hybrid and I’ll already never go back. Next stop is full electric when the range between charges improves. My Ioniq is just so nice to drive. So quiet.
The thing about this ev and the Porsche tycan is they launch even harder than other EVs as they actually do have gears, they have 2 and you can hear the gear change and slightly see it under full acceleration there’s a slight jolt in the shift

I asked Audi last month for a test drive with the E-Tron, but didn't let me. They asked me for "company information" and what car I have now, because the car is supposedly overpowered. I told them I have a 300+hp Mercedes and already drove equally or more powerful Tesla's. But nope. That really did piss me off. It's not as if I'm asking for a Formula 1 car or a multimillion Bugatti Chiron.
But the R8 does give someone a bigger smile any time of the day.
The paddles control three levels of regen I’ve heard on the highest setting it still coasts so no one pedal driving like other EV’s offer. Did you have a chance to test the UI, I’ve heard it’s kind of clunky and not anything special.
Please try and get your hands on a Tesla Plaid would love to see your opinion on how it compares to your etron GT experience.

Great video! I just love the e-tron GT. It looks amazing, has a fine range and 800V technic for charging. I prefer it over the RS6 any day

@@itsjoel nice one. Not driven an electric car properly yet but I’d like too. If manufacturers like Audi can continue making stuff like the E tron GT and eventually at affordable prices, maybe there is hope after all. But I know what you mean. Still can’t beat the sound of a big naturally aspirated engine..
The electric cars are fast washing machine with stearing and wheals!
In my opinion the electric cars are more harmful for climate than gas car " in the long term" because of the lethium that used in batteries can't be recycled or degenerate , so I think the future is for hydrogen cars.
