- Is the Airaid CAI Louder? Does it add more power? Let's walk through the installation quickly and then take it out for a test drive. I'm installing the Airaid MXP filter on my 2018 F150 with a Coyote 5.0 V8. It is a CARB certified CAI which claims +19HP and +26lbft @ 3775RPM. Let's see how it does!
I did notice a slight bump in power and the exhaust/intake is DEFINITELY louder than the stock setup.

Thanks! They definitely make great products and I'm surprised at how much louder the truck sounds as well. I've never had to modify anything else on their products, this definitely was the first time. Probably an anamoly.

Have you noticed any difference in MPG or performance ?
I have the same one, I installed mine almost 4 years ago like 3 weeks after I bought my truck. So I never got a real chance to compare the before and after. Thanks 🙏🏼
So I definitely noticed a difference in performance on the truck. It was pretty much immediate with the cover off. For MPG I can’t say I have. Thanks for watching!
