Nice, concise description of the process, without wasted time. My 2012 FX4 5.0 has the same belt & pulley layout. At least in my year model there seems to have been several configurations, depending on engine and options, and many of the available YT tutorials seem to show different layouts. On a side note: My truck has 217k. Original belts were changed out at around 120k, at the same time the original water pump went out. Figuring the belts should be changed again at ~ 100k since the last change, and knowing tensioners also go bad over time, I also changed the two tensioners (figure you have to pull one off anyway...). What I noticed immediately was much harder starts. Several seconds of engine turning over, a few more times than usual, before suddenly "catching" very violenty with a much more "forceful" initial start up. Second thing I noticed is the responsiveness of the throttle. Pressing on the gas pedal gets a noticeably quicker response (less "soft / mushy" of a response to throttle increases. Less "gradual" acceleration response than before). No thrown codes, though. Timing advance is about where it has been and should be, so my timing doesn't appear to be off. Maybe timing chain adjustment issues adapting to the new belts/tensioners? Lastly, I have noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage, perhaps ~ 1 mpg improvement on the highway. Maybe I'm imagining it, but I went from about 17-18 mpg highway (mid 18's if I really "feather" and soft-touch the pedals when accelerating or decelerating, to 19 mpg on my first long, 1 1/2 hr trip immediately after the changeover. Anyone else seen similar issues with the "hard starts", or noticeably more sudden / forceful starts? Or the quicker pedal / throttle responsivenes? Thanks.

On my 2020 xlt I’ve added a bullet antenna, American flag tire stem caps, weather tech mats, led fog lights, high beams and license plate lights, bright white low beams, tailgate assist, and did a resonator delete. Going to add tint, oil catch can, led reverse lights, wheel well covers, maybe new shocks too after seeing this video. In the future I’d like to change the rims to black fuels and put a level kit on. It came from factory with the soft roll up cover, led bed lights, bed liner and tow mirrors which were some nice additions.

Would like if you could try the Garmin X310 4K. Also is anyway if had that installed can you say use Garmin Mini as your rear camera. I'm confused as if you can use seperate camera with X310 in the Garmin Drive app. This would be for new SUV purchase so rear of SUV has 12V outlet. Thanks

Steve. How did you determine you needed to use the current driven setup? I am using a Dakota Digital gauge package, an MSD distributor, coil and a Digital 6AL. I am using the purple wire on the 6AL going to a magnetic pickup in my distributor to make my ignition work. '68 C-10 SWBSS, 454, 7R4. Cheers!

How is this legal?? Hell I’m afraid to buy any motorcraft coils and plugs.. and if you buy online you can’t inspect them visually to compare counterfeit or OEM..

I've got the same USB power adapter with short cables, and a different dashcam. The USB power adapter is key, super easy and cleaning looking.

Great video! I recognize that section of 128, lots of congestion, good idea to have a dash cam. I'm about 30 minutes south. I've been wanting to get one of these and like this setup, not too invasive. I'm interested in the rear view cam too. I also used your brake videos as a guide to do mine, so thanks for that.

Not sure what ForScan ver it is but this is not anywhere near as simple as shown here. To reprogram BCM ForScan asks for calibration file and these are really hard to get

I restored my 70 Maverick. Mine costs less because I got less protection on insurance than I should. It’s $200 a yr plus $80 for a vanity tag. I drive it about 1000-2000 miles a year depending on weather.
