I slept on a bunk bed as a kid. I slept on the top and my brother on the bottom. Eventually he moved out and I kept sleeping on the top and I vividly remember nights where I would be woken up by the sound of rustling sheets below me. I never investigated and so it was all left up to my imagination. This story really shook me to my core. Thanks
This is one of my FAVORITE stories of all time. And having Otis narrate it only makes it 1 million times better! Anything narrated by Otis would be 1 million times better. I'd live to have O narrate my day as I go about it. Lol! 😂😂😂
I was originally reading this CreepyPasta for myself but I remembered Mr.Jiry reads Creepy things and here I am. Thank you master storyteller for helping me out!
I save this for my hour drive home from work. I literally wait all day to get into my car and turn this on. Got a 12 hour drive to Scotland soon! I'm sorted.

As a sleep paralysis sufferer and metal/horrorpunk fan that always kind of hoped (and still does) that my sleep paralysis was something more than a sleep disorder, this is my favorite! I've read it, listened to it, and am now listening to it again, within a 6 month period. This creepypasta got me back into writing.
Just came across this video... seems I'm quite late to the party lol but I've also suffered bouts of sleep paralysis and I'm an insomniac... hence why I have a newly found addiction to listening to audiobooks at night; they're the only thing that puts me to sleep after years and years of trying different meds, supplements, herbal tea, better sleep hygiene, etc. I admit I could still work on the last one but I'm more awake at night than I am during the day... and until I got artists block I'd have all my creative inspiration at night. I'm just trying to get back into reading again, as it's always been a favourite past time, but my mental health has really declined over the last year or so. And I haven't drawn/sketched anything in years. I want to get back into it but have trouble concentrating... anyways, hope you're still writing. Who knows... since you posted this you may have gone on to write your own short horror stories or even a novel!
It was great. I think it started to make me paranoid. I lay on the couch, listening to the story, watching the neighbors apartment on the other side of the street. 30 min ago there was light, it's cold dark and snowing heavily, but then their windows all went black, the blalcony door left open in the winter chill..Your stories makes me mind wander.

Same here!! I thought that would have been the voice that would read the story!.. I was disappointed 😔.. Couldn't listen to the story, the gentleman was reading to fast! But I definitely loved the introduction..
Steve Taylor That was really you? Seriously? So how much would you charge to do a opening skit for my next album. You’ll still get credit as a feature as well.
I recommend listening to the same story read by Michael Whitehouse himself, from the "No Sleep" podcast. It's absolutely both brilliant and terrifying.
This had me scared senseless my bed in next to the wall and at around 4 ish it started getting colder noticeably colder and I even started to hear blankets rustling this has been of of the most frightening stories I've heard in a while
I was sitting on the toilet earlier and the shower curtain moved all by it's self . It was like someone was standing in the shower and bumped their hand against it . Freaky . Totally true story though .
I heard one of my toys get up on the bed and she wrapped her arm around my neck and strangles me until I blacked out. As Jessie was grabbing my neck hard, she said “I will do this to your Woody!” As Jessie presses her hands on my neck until I got choked
Dear Otis, & you look like such a nice guy, love your stuff & everything else about CTFDN. I will be joining as a member soon. So excited about it, I hope you can go full-time very soon & some of the others specially the authors, their original work is outstanding!!!
Your voice is amazing and relaxes me after a long day at work. I wish you all the best and I hope you did accomplish your wish of becoming a full time youtuber
That was beautiful. Otis Jiry is a master narrator. I especially loved the vengeful, "Let it burrrrrrrrrrrrrn." ^_^ My only issue with this upload is that, when I compare the text on the official _Chilling Tales_ site to what is on the audio here, the four final paragraphs of this story seem to be missing from this audio. :-0 But aside from that, this was a great and epic production. Otis Jiry is the man.
Otis Jiry combined with Michael Whitehouse...scary...Otis Jiry always sounds like he's telling you the most reasonable tale despite how scary and Michael Whitehouse comes from my own neck of the woods, where kids like to be babysat by the auntie who tells the scariest story and the audults feel its their duty to scare the living daylights out of the kids...we can all remember wantimg the relative with the highest 'spook' factor to keep us on holiday weekends etc. Lol it's like a cultural artform scaring the kids lol (they love it!... just in case anyone thinks scary stories and kids shouldn't come together. ..We believe as kids, to have heard the scariest story is like a rite of passage.
New listener to Otis Jury!love your voice and your style of narration! Yes I too listen to this creepy stuff while decompressing from my day as I drift off into lala land...thank you
LOL did the same thing and my mom wondering why I'm laughing at night. she watched this and freaked out lol 12 year old is fine... 37 Year mother losing her effing mind
I truly enjoy a good story. Otis is a very good narrator and I also commend the chilling tales team for an expert narration for others I've heard such as the swing, my last camping trip and one of my personal favorites: the showers. I hope that I'm able to count on you guys pushing more tales to your channel.
It's 11 almost midnight and I'm laying, tryna sleep on a top bunk... Good luck to me Love the story and narration btw✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ OKAY OKAY, HEAR ME OUT!!! PTSD, paranoia, facial dysmorpia, selective amnesia, self vs self The father was rarely descriptive in good light so I reckon there was a family feud in the old house giving him childhood traumas he had brought to adulthood. Then the part where Mary said he was choking her was actually the truth and he simply continued to believe his make believe ghost as a coping mechanism. Then the events afterwards just gave me more idea about this theory. Especially the cold water part!!!! LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO LOVE IT 💕
In September it was a normal night for me until, I felt someone’s hand around my throat and it was Jessie one of my toys. Jessie put her arm around my shoulder ready to lock her arm around my neck, squeezing me so hard as Jessie threatened to kill Woody if I didn’t do what Jessie said; she continued holding me hostage until I accepted her demands. She released my throat and I coughed due to the hard pressure that was locked around my throat. I find Woody unconscious after Jessie choked him with the greatest pressure when Jessie held her hand on her arm to lock it around Woodys neck choking him; it’s amusing how powerful Jessie’s strangle is, powerful enough that Woody almost died. I’ll never forget the night of her powerful stranglehold, one day I’ll put Jessie in a stranglehold with my hands around her weak throat.
I love this guy, he's one of the best narrators on this channel! I don't know if its just me, but I think he should slow down a little at some parts; it sounds rushed at some points. Otherwise you're awesome Otis!
I had this same experience. My babysitter confirmed it for me,-- there really was an evil ghost monster in my bedroom, but I would be safe, because it couldn't find me so long as I was really quiet and stayed in bed. It was really scary, but it worked. It never found me.
I remember being woken up by Woody.EXE and when I first met him; he tied me to my bed with me asking him “what you doing?!” Woody.EXE said “unless you join my side, i won’t free you” so I agreed to joining him and I was freed by him. But then Woody.EXE hits me with his EXE powers and I felt really sick. He helped me pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her funeral and how did he do this?! I love him now and I’m about to become Woody.EXE’s Queen on July 20th, 2023; my 21st birthday
OK this story line in the beginning is very similar to a game markiplier played a long time ago. I forget what is was called but i don't think he ever went back and finished it. Love your narrations Otis, this is going in my favorites. XD
Thanks it helps with my insomnia sometimes. We love you Otis !!! Philadelphia USA

By the cracking of your thumbs Mr Jiry not to mention your excellent narration
This has always been, hands down, my favourite creepypasta. Thrilled to see you narrating this, awesome!

It's crazy to hear how Otis' narration style has changed and developed between then and now. I really like his delivery in this one.
