I remembered hearing the little awooos as a child and hearing it again filled my heart I burst into tears. The fact it still makes me feel like a kid is such a loving and comforting scene.

I love how Callie is constantly too excited to stand still and keeps running around and waving to the crowd while Marie is just chilling.
Marie was moving a lot (more than she used to) in Calamari Inkantation and Now Or Never (also, she's smiling)
and then the crowd doesn't shout back. I know its just holograms but I think they were supposed to shout and cheer at the holograms as i this was a real concert. but instead she's just waving at silence :/

Japanese crowds are much more quieter then western crowds. You can see this in the new deep cut LIVE as well, this trend is just part of a more "polite" culture.

They're also from different performance traditions. Callie and Marie adhere to the precisely choreographed Japanese Idol culture, while Pearl and Marina have more of a loose American Pop-Rock style.
Notably when they're on stage together, Marina moves more towards the Squid Sisters' style, while Callie goes a little wild with Pearl. It's great.
fun fact, the reason why pearl sounds more distorted when singing is because Marina puts filters over her voice so she can sing without destroying everyone

@@galaxydoes8034 animalese is genuinely a language. the way it works is that animal crossing animals make a noise for every letter/symbol in a word and unlike what people think, it isn't random beeps. that is why some words and names are pronounced correctly. my name, in game name Gravy, gets translated to "guh rah ah va yah" and is always said this way when it comes up in dialogue. my real name, kevin, becomes "ka eh va i n" which when said at speed in game sounds exactly like my name. if you pay attention to the animals, you can make out what they are saying.

Pearl’s entrance during Shark Bytes was epic. She just hops out from the ground in her new Nintendo-Switch colored outfit, and I love that even though I’ve never played Splatoon.

Literally this concert is more than twice as long as most other concerts. That means the Splatoon 3 concerts will be even longer, as they would have to feature songs from both the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook as well as the new Splatoon 3 idols.
I literally cried when I saw the Squid Sisters sing and dance Fresh Start. The person who proposed the Splatoon live concerts deserves all the love and respect from all over the world😍😍😭

That's what K. K. does. His songs can be anywhere from the most calm, mellow tunes to super upbeat action songs and he does them all so well. Take, for example K. K. Lullaby or Stale Cupcakes and Agent K. K.

the musicians definitely should have more credit for their performances, they deserve more than they they get.
However, a lot more goes into these holo-idol concerts than you think. To talk about just the musicians and the idols performances would only be scratching the surface.
There’s also the sound engineers making sure everything sounds right during the whole thing, the lighting technicians ensuring that all the lights function as they should, the animators that move the characters before the concert, and that’s not even counting the mile long checklists that entail all of the small details that even one thing going wrong can cause a chain reaction that would ruin the whole concert.
All of this (mind you) has to be synced perfectly in order the create a good performance. And if not everything is in sync, there’s bound to be something not seeming right in the performances. This can be a whole Marriott of problems (which I’m not gonna get into here), but they have to get it right the first time during the event, that’s why you’re often gonna find that these concerts are practiced months in advanced until the day they perform in front of an audience.
I hope you all have a greater appreciation for how much goes Into making these idol concerts happen, it’s really quite commendable what the people who organize these events go through to make them possible.
And! Their voice actors, or actually I should say the artists themselves!

Fly Octo Fly is one of my better ones; another channel put up mirrored versions of one of their performances, so I don't have to mentally note that you turn the opposite direction/use the other hand for it to look right. Calamari Inkantation's darn good, too! (and just awesome in, you know, every other way.)
