Woah really? Super interested in what you learned from these animations.
@@paulwebb2078 It was a good example of teaching characterization, and specifically motivation, without using understandable dialogue. I mean, yes, the Pikmin make their noises, but it's not, you know, dialogue. It was also used as an example of a good adaptation of source material.
@@neutralnarration1463 I'd argue the contrary. At the end of Pikmin 1, during the good ending, Pikmin take down a bulborb all alone. In Pikmin 2, wild Pikmin can be seen surviving and thriving. In Pikmin 3, when assigned, pikmin can manage tasks on their own (gold, bridge pieces, etc), and they're shown in the credits to be curious and lovable in the same way as the shorts.
Hey! Pikmin (which I know came out after the sorts) depicts them as very curious in terms of their in-game shenanigans, and, when you're out on missions, they can continue doing tasks at the Pikmin Park.
I just love pikmin so much. I wish they could've made more of these short movies
Remember the Kid Icarus anime and Kirby mini series? Goods times..
@@ick29 That was Kirby Right Back At Ya and it came out in 2001. I guess the other Kirby show isn't well remembered or well known which I can understand.
What Kirby Mini series?
What kid icarus anime? Could you link it?
@@maurothetoad it's actually easy to find. Search up Palutena anime and you'll see it.
is Kid Icarus mini series and Kirby anime
People who payed 5$ for these on wii u

The Will u is Better Then The Switch...
Yeah but it came out like 5 years ago and it was only 5$

LOUIE
What eyebrows the Pikmin and Louis don't have eyebrows
everyone:
back in my day you had to pay for these
Me who knew they would post this but still bought the shorts:
money well spent!
Yep! I have no problem with the fact I paid for these back in the day. If they made more, I would buy them. I wish Nintendo would make more of these types of animated shorts for Pikmin and other series like ARMS, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., Splatoon, etc. They did make some for Kid Icarus back in the day that were pretty good, too.
yeah, I know my 3DS is gonna die some day, so this is more beneficial if anything
plus, people who couldn't buy it or had no idea it existed can see it now for the first time
I’ve never really play Pikmin or got caught up with the hype so I guess this is a good as time as any to get started
Do it, do it, do it!
I actually love this so much! (I know nothing about Pikmin.)

They are so adorable!!! Couldn't stop smiling watching this 🥰
I literally love this series so much! 😁😁😁
The dislikes are bulborbs who couldn't eat the Pikmin.
Lol...
I just don’t wanna see them, they are lethal
I adore these little shorts, they’re so unlike anything else Nintendo has done for the marketing of any game and it’s a joy to see them coming back for Pikmin 3 Deluxe
This os freaking hilarious!
Man I need to play Pikmin again.
Legend’s say that that purple pikmin is secretly reggie in his spare time
What’s a reggie
@@thunderbolt64_ Some legend that use to work with Nintendo
reggie, veggie form.
I cry a little bit every time I finish a pikmin game. Not just because the endings are always bittersweet and sentimental, not just because I’m a little proud of getting through it, not just because I’m sad that there’s nothing left to explore and my time with my little pikmin friends is over for now, not just because I remember every single pikmin I lost and how genuinely guilty I feel over each and every one of them..But all these things and more give the game such a unique and heart-felt experience
Preach!!
Worth every penny.
Does anyone know that miyamoto story boarded these shorts on pictochat?
I did, however it was not pictochat but flipnote. I remember him talking about that
Ok, that is awesome
Yes.

Hey Nintendo. You should seriously animate a complete full length movie of pikmin. My nephew and I will love it!
Pikmin, Metroid and Star Fox have such a good movie/show potential, you can make Guardians of The Galaxy/Star Wars-like plots with Star Fox and more serious stuff like Alien with Metroid
0:48 The word "Nintendo" can be seen under the bottle.
It also says Nintendo here 6:41
The nintendo branded bottle
Nintendo bottle with Nintendo juice
not only "Nintendo" but the "4" and "6" . Specially the 4 that is hidden along the video many times
The N word
I love how they laugh at the other being trapped and how some Pikmin are mean to eachother, but in the end the species know they must be a team and going through all that to save just one pikmin is adorable
I love how the bottom of the bottle says "NINTENDO"
