The biennial update is completed when you complete Form MCS-150. You can now do this online. It only takes 24 hours to update on Safer Company Snapshot for the USDOT portion.
When will you use the MCS-150 Form or Online Form?
Whenever you need to make an update to your USDOT information.
You will require your USDOT Pin number in order to access your online registration update.

Hi, if I is a new usdot number and owns two trucks, how to put the the mileage amount for the first year? And for second year renewal, should I added my two trucks total mileage or separate filling?

Do you need insurance to apply for your MC number and DOT number?
Hi Brooks, you do not. You dont even need the vehicles to apply. You will need the insurance to activate the MC#. The BOC-3 and insurance on file activate your authority. Hope that help. I kept on getting the same errors you've had a the end of the video before you modify it. I did not see what you clicked on to fix it. can you share how to finish modify it? new authority no carriers, no mileage. Could that be the issue? I don't have any mileage to enter nor drivers.

Hello I gat my new Authority on 02/2022 how do I put mileage please?
Hi Ru, follow this video it will guide you. There is a section where you will enter mileage. You need to add last year miles from the dot effective date. For new Usdot numbers you will enter the number 1 for mileage and the year 2021. Hope that helps.

Should this be 0 for box Truck drivers?
If you do not have a CDL or employee with a CDL you would select 0 for the commercial drivers license questions.

Hi Raul, you need to properly shut down your usdot to stop those notifications. They will keep coming every year.

Hi Damaris, it will not. It will update your MC mcs150 filing date. Buy not when your mc was given or activation date.

You're welcome. FMCSA doesn't reset your MC active date. It gets activated once everything is in and approved in their system. What has to be completed are, USDOT and MC app completed, BOC-3, and Insurance. When those are in the system then they provide an activation date. Let me know if you have any other questions.
