Scrapman I’d just like to say you don’t need to be constantly pumping out content every day and you can take breaks when needed we know your in between the state of moving house and if you need time off we can wait as long as you don’t abandon us for 5 years 👍🤘
no scrapman u have to. u make my day that much better
Yeah, I’ve never seen a UA-camr upload so commonly while still maintaining quality in their videos
If I remember correctly he said yt is now his full time job
Don't forget recovering from covid 19 aswell,
he needs to because it will lower his viewer count and recommendations cause of the yt algorithm
I think with the wedge made of wedges they intended you to fill in the holes with upside down wedges so it truly would be the shape of a giant wedge
I thought the same thing
Yeah, that was kinda what I was going for, but my poor quick paint skills left gaps, so it wasn't obvious.
I was coming to comment that
I literally saw this comment like less than a second before he saw the wedge of wedges.
I was just about to comment this exactly
I’d love to see YDIB for Multiplayer Monday. Idea 1: everyone gets the same drawing and race with what they made.
Idea 2: everyone gets different drawing and race. (Note: show the drawings to the guys when you show your cars)
Or a YDIB survival series, where people give ridiculous drawings
awesome idea!
Gurgle ok theanks for pi lololol lol no dh poll hoop
I like idea 2 it's a great mini series idea
@@jaebob imagine building farm defenses base on a drawing
5:03- "Oh yeah, it's all coming together"
*I think you need to troll Kan with the wedge disguised as a brick somehow, maybe it transforms on him into the superior shape at his disadvantage and can't be undone 🤷🏻♂️ I see potential*
PEOPLE GET THIS COMMENT OVER 1k maybe scrapman will make it real
So, for the wedge made of wedges, I wonder if you could've gotten them all flush, but what you would've needed to do was create one row the way you did, then the next row you'd create a row if wedges that was rotated 180 degrees so they match up with the hole from the previous row, then the next row would be right side up and etc,etc until you got to the peak.
14:10 ScrapMan, don't be afraid to use suspension glitch stabilizers.
The drawing doesn’t ask for it
@@SomeBloodyShortGuy Drawing didn't ask for low friction blocks either. The hammer build didn't show rockets. He didn't add all the wedges. Your argument doesn't hold up.
it would've been a practical build, i dont think any of these are meant to be practical
08:06 and why does scrapman put weight on the (launcher) for his toilet
@@RaggedyMan78 the build would not have at least kinda worked if he didn't add those things. And he didn't see that you were supposed to add wedges in between
another way to fix the bearing problem might have been pistons on only one side of each piston.
or a second driving seat just connected to them like steering bearings, but not actually used. that makes bearings firm, but springy. something you should look into sometime, you can actually wind up steering bearings and they'll unwind back.. stored energy!
I was thinking the problem was from the rear wheels. By powering them, they pushed on the middle segments. By unpowering them, the segments would be pulled instead of pushed.
Would've strayed somewhat from the drawing, but a central connector would've solved the alignment issue too. Rigid connection on one side, hinge on the other. It would still be able to curve just like the drawing, but it wouldn't develop scoliosis.
I know a really easy fix for the piston turning car, if you were to make the front wheels the drive wheels then the unintentional turning won’t be a problem because it’ll have the same effect as a semi pulling a trailer
But what about braking?
@@remie123 New Explosive Powered Brakes: NOW WITH A 0.05% (formerly 0.00001%) SURVIVAL RATE!
@@Cyclopeantreegiant what about reversing?
@@remie123 now with kickback
I would love to see the car with a (few) suspension glitch stabilizers, so it stays perfectly upright like the image.
for the piston car, you could've made it fwd to help with the wobble
22:00 make the pistons all randomly move separatly
i love how long you took on the brick to wedge creation 🤣
5:03
What a rollercoaster of emotions
I absolutely agree with @Teslacam man 's comment, I've been a long time fan of scrapman, and I remember watching him 5 years ago, btw I miss cardlife. He rarely missed a beat in his videos. He deserves at least a week break. He used to post only a couple videos a week but none of his videos have ever been bad. You absolutely deserve a break man. Make sure you buy some of his merch to support him, Love ya Scrap Man
whoever thought of that curving car is a genius
15:10 optimusprime added you to their friends list 😯😯😯
ANOTHER EPISODE YES, EVEN THOUGH I LIKE DSP (discord speed builds) MORE
Whenever I feel down, scrap man’s vids are always here to cheer me up
I think you could use that electric bearing/piston steering trick in 3D to make crumpling objects and impact zones on vehicles. Interesting concept!
a creation like that already exists, in scrap mechanic, so popular that most people that have scrap mechanic know about it. it uses the electric engine concept to make a car that has realistic destruction and dents
@@ThePhonax what’s it called on the workshop? i wanna try it out
@@loeuf destruction buggy
That last car would be a nice multiplayer challenge!
For the piston turning car, an easy fix to the misalignment problem would be to remove one of the bearings on each of the pistons (front or back). That would allow it to turn, but not allow it to misalign
11:12 The chair leaped over the machine thing
the last one was very well drawn
"More like a carn't" Love it! :D
“More like carn’t” really got me😂😂😭
I actually like the piston turning vehicle and, of course you gotta love the brick to a wedge it is just godly.
Wow i like how scrapman comes back to the YDIB episodes id always love those videos. I like the last one couse its like a long dog. Oh yeah keep up the good work scrapman!!
it should be "i draw it you build it"
Word of the Wedge. Legendary=Wedgendary brick=loss Wedge=superior aerodynamics=WEDGE.
GO WEDGEGANG!
"THE CAR" Was based off the cars from the movie The Lorax by Doctor Seuss
My favourite is the last creation
17:21 that is exactly the design of a metro
11:10 just did a vault over that hammer there
when you retracted that last car from the full extension it reminded me of the slinky dog from toy story
The caterpillar car is very interesting. How about using controlers instead of engines to set their positions?
Ps.: not exactly a player. All my knowledge of the game cames from watching scrapman play.
#WEDGEGANG
#WEDGEGANG
he uses electric engines because electric engines keep a bearing where it is after it's been rotated. a controller is just to set bearing positions
Ah. A controller would cause that backloop thingy. Where it would try to go to the position, possible missing it, hence and repeat. Well, theres that
glad you still doing this challenge
Wedge gang!
Also press then release both buttons to straighten out the bendy car.
@Teslacam man I agree but Scrapman well don with all the content you gave us I luv ur vids keep on going and take breaks if u need to have a nice day!😇
That brick becomes wedge was glorious
I really did clap irl during the wedge reveal.
I wonder with the caterpillar car thing, if you made it front wheel drive, would it straighten out without needing an electric engine, since the joints would be in tension as it pulls along the rear end... they'd still flop when braking of course, but might be worth trying
The Brick/Wedge Hybrid. It's the olive branch of the millennia. With this, can Brick Gang and Wedge Gang find peace?
100% would buy "WEDGENDARY" merch 🤘
you could make like a snake race using that piston turning car... put some sensors on the snake head(front of car) so when it drives over a painted food on the ground the pistons extend making the car longer like the snake game
the snake car was super cool! someone should make a longer version
12:42 the car looks like something from a Dr.seuss book
So happy that ydib is back :D
The last one could have controllers left by default and if you pushed both buttons, it would transform into a stretch-limo XD
much easyer stearing for "The Car" just tank stearing , cause forwardand back would make it speen ,and lowering the speed would let the car turn more normaly
21:52 Cetipide car if you make it have a bunch of segmants and put the pistens to max i wonder how that would turn out
I feel like the piston turning car is a good idea for a multiplayer monday. Making some unconventional steering or propulsion methods and making a race out of it.
_Hello there!_
@@Call_Me_The_Storyteller Ahh, General Kenobi!
I don't really mind if you do or don't do this, but you should absolutely do a race. But use the piston bearing segment car thing, but make it longer. Maybe like 15 segments to make it truly chaotic, but you can add a twist of your own liking.
The wedgebrick reminds me of your glitchweld tutorial
Bricks are superior #brickgangforlife
What about a completely different challenge: you don't build vehicles at the start and have to run to the finish BUT you allowed to use ANYTHING to get advantage from dragging a wall in front of other players to even making a small car (but creations you make cannot be taken on lift) that will take some time but give you a huge advantage if other players didn't build a wall of explosives!
I think it would be a refreshing experience
Finally scrapman i waited 100 years let's go!!
this is the best series
The squished car reminds me of something from dr. Seuss or the 3d Lorax movie from a few years ago
WAIT WHAT!? YDIB??? THERES MORE!? :OOOOOOOOOO
Scrap man, Love your content, been thinking about this for a while and I had to ask the question: Have you heard of Terra Tech?
look into it, might be fun...
You need to use the Suspension glitch to get that car unicycle thing to work properly
Welp looks like my toaster car didn't make it in. Well hope you enjoyed building these weird and cool creations Scrapman.
For multiplayer Monday you should make a huge ramp that you have to get up while someone is throwing heavy balls
Should have put the boosters on the back of the first hammer and had it start upright so it would have more momentum
The reason why the spud gun wouldn't break the cardboard is because your body was in the way the player is still the same size so you exist under the seat you can use it to detect the player in the seat
Instead of the electric engine in the piston turning thing you could just put 2 bearings on 1 side instead of 4 on all sides. Nice vid!
We have been blessed by the YDIB gods!
I'm only 2 mins into the video and it's already getting interesting
That car got za hando'd
I've been saying "carn´t" for months... And now, I finally know what it really means. thank you ScrapMan
Axel width is doing your stability in.
for the last one, you an avoid the wishbone effect by making it FWD
unpower the back wheels on the piston turning car and let it get dragged behind
Love it man
For the last one you should have used a 2nd drivers seat instead of electric engines. It would try to keep the bearings at the starting angle and actively return them to it when it can.
Also if you only connect the bearings on one side of the car to the seat then you will only need 1 extra seat to keep it alligned.
I feel like if you doubled the width of the piston car and maybe put some concrete low on the left and right sides it'd be a pretty solid car. Some suspension too of course, but that might muck it.
This is great
How about Volcanoids ReRevisited?
multiplayer Monday idea
a ?steering? challenge
build a vehicle to navigate a race, however, she method of steering must be wild and impractical
:)
Why must we argue which is better a brick or a wedge when if you use the both of them together they can make even grander even more grand and wonders shapes
Finally ydib is back
For the last one maybe suspension next to every piston?
I miss when Scrapman used to do Trailmakers challenges with Cosmo and Kan
Okay so like a hinge block thats 2 blocks long one block wide and one block tall, it can only move a maximum of 90 degrees and -90 degrees and can be controlled by buttons, switches, controllers and is floppy in one angle of movement when unpowered
5:14 show that to khan I think he'd love seeing that project
15:01 I would put the smaller boosters inside the wheel cap and use them to balance the car upright
you should do a multiplayer monday with two wheeled vehicles, no glitches, no thrusters
Havent seen ydib in a long time
you should try making a "I-400" it was a aircraft carrier in the form of a submarine made by japan during WWII (in trailmakers.)
8:30 Thats a PP AKA WEEWEE
21:36 YOU TRAITOR YOU FORGOT THE WEDGES
A Wedge is much more aerodynamic than a brick, but the airfoil is clearly superior in aerodynamics.
I’m a kid and I love your channel you make the best channel videos I mean OK sounds good
If the last build only had 3 segments, you could have gotten away with only powering the servos in the middle.
Try the lemonsurvival you can CRAFT WEDGES
YDIB IS BACK!
Me: you have a discord?!
YOU'RE IN VEGAS?? DUDE PLEASE HIT ME UP JAM I PLAY DRUMS LET'S GO
10:48 Maybe if there wasn't a ton of weight under the seat.... It would have launched him a bit more?
Should do one of these with the boys and all show off how they interpret each drawing
Should do a 100 joins on the piston turning car (last car made on this video).
5:07 Wedgendary
